They replaced my water pump in mid July then in August had to take it back for the same thing and on September 15 for the same water pump that they charged $1500.00 to replace. Then on October 16 they had not replaced the $1500.00 water pump nor would they give me a refund for faulty work. This is truly one place that I would never ever take my car to because there excuse for not performing the job is that their mechanic, only 1 at the location, is out sick and then he is on vacation is the only person who can work on your vehicle. Again with all the receipts for the work that was paid for in hand they refused to give me a refund and there corporate office will not respond. I guess this is their way of conducting business besides their over priced membership of ripping off customers without blinking an eye.

Every once in awhile you need maps GPS doesnt always do if for me The screen is to small and not enough info for me I like to see more streets and make my own decisions on how I want to approach a Nieghborhood... At AAA you can get maps with a map you see the whole picture 📸 how the ground is laid out. Maps in conjunction with GPS that works Slice out Tally ho!!!.

High quality service for a low price. Once your power train warranty is done with your car dealership this is best place to take your car. If you become a AAA member you can get all kinds of discounts when you bring in your car to get it fixed!!

The only thing that was ok was the diagnosis for $99 bucks. They said that my number 5/7 coil pack and #7 sparkplug was bad and catalytic converter was bad. All this would cost me $1200. I had taken my 99sls to a muffler king before taking the car to AAA a month prior. I was told by them my mufflers had time left on them and I needed to fix my motor problem. Now I told AAA to change the coil pack and spark plug. They said for a total of $250 parts and labor diagnostic included. The changed coil pack 1/4 and probably the wrong sparkplug too and I paid the price. Car still has the same hesitation.

I have been using AAA in Hampton for 15 years, but problems have crept up this past year. Today I needed an inspection and oil change. They found what appeared to be a bad bulb in one reverse light, but both lights went out when they swapped it out, so they said I’d need to pay for a diagnostic to check the wiring. I initially approved that, but when I came back to get the car two hours later, it had not been done, so I took the car home. The manager did mention manning problems, so this may be understandable. On the other hand, I was charged for the bulb replacement work that did not fix anything. I also had a drawn out, expensive set of repairs three months ago on my F150, partly because a bolt cracked whole working on it. The manager explained this happens with old F150s, but the process was drawn out over almost two weeks and the communication should have been better.

On the bubble with this one...it seems to be popular with seniors..yet the wait time is a bit much!!!....had some work done on vehicle and they reduced the price due to delays..thats good yet the vehicle is still not up to par...will give it a re-visit to confirm my rating...customer service and quality work far exceeds pricing...they are cheaper than most dealerships..

I was charged 100 dollars for them to tell me the same thing that I told them when I came when I dropped my truck off. I told them that the truck wasnt getting enough fuel and that I changed the fuel pump 2 times already. They told me that my pressure was low. I already said that. If Im getting a diagnostic, id like to know exactly what the problem is.

My car broke down in Hampton I had my car towed to this car Care center. It had over heated while I was driving. They quoted me $1,299$ to fix my car stating it was my radiator and my water pump, and that my alternator was sending bursts of charge. . Well anyone with knowledge of cars knows the two rarely go at the same time. So I picked my car up and brought it to Pure Automotive in VAB. They stated I didn’t have any coolant leaks. Mind you I had believed I didn’t put my coolant pressure cap back on correctly and it had popped off when my car over heated. Anyway pure automotive noted my battery was dead so they replaced my battery, and noted that my car had NO coolant leaks at ALL. So we replaced my alternator for the cost of the part and did the work myself.The fact that AAA is supposed to be so reputable and quoted me for parts that I DIDNT need angers me deeply. I will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. They quoted me for parts I did not need and I question if I had no car knowledge at all If they would have just ripped me off and been okay with it. Poor service all around.

Front desk lady was really nice. I have been going to the AAA center at janaf for years. Went to this one for the first time and wont ever go back. I got a oil change and a inspection done on my truck. Got home and realized that the technician left a open container of oil in my floor board and had gotten oil all over my leather interior then realized my they gouged my aluminum rims. Looked like they just slid it acrossed the floor on its face. My interior and wheel is ruined. I will never go back not will I ever be referring them to anyone else. Beware!

This is my go to shop for all my routine maintenance and repair work. Their mechanics are professional and very knowledgeable on a large variety of problems. They offer discounts for work to AAA members, and every Wednesday is customer appreciation day for our changes. They offer free tire rotation when they change your oil.

Really wanted to extend my gratitude to the staff at AAA hampton. As a healthcare worker during this time we are all stressed out. I brought my car in for a simple rotors and pads which turned out to be tires, calipers, rotors, pads, and wheel bearings. The professionalism of the staff not only made this a stress free experience but Cat is amazing and is a people person. The service is always great here! Ive been getting my car serviced here since they opened and Ive never left disappointed. The service manager Derrick is always kind and helpful! I cant remember the technicians name (Im sorry if you get a chance to read this) is always kind when I do get to speak to him and he always goes the extra mile to ensure my car is in its best condition.

Great service quick and on time. Have used these guys off and on for years only because they are a bit of a drive from my house. They are my go to people for when I have a pressing or involved car issue. Great service team and Carey (SP?) was a great manager to work with. Extremely pleased with value of service.

I have had to return to this place four times in 6 months for them to fix the work they have done. I got a new water pump/timing belt and for some reason they just cant get it right. Then once my car is returned to me it has no antifreeze. They put a huge hole in my AC which seems have been done purposely because everyone who has looked at it says it was banged with a tool and they never seen a hole like that in that spot. Also the last time I picked my car up the stopper I believe its called was removed and my brake lights wouldnt turn off. I would never bring my car here again!

I have had 3 of my vehicles serviced recently at AAA in Hampton. All contacts and conversations with the service managers were polite and professional. The repairs were completed in accordance with stated instructions and estimates, and were finished on time. No complaints. I would recommend AAA for maintenance for anyone who does not want to go to a car dealership, or risk work from a small repair shop.

This centers service staff are crooks and liars! My vehicle was towed in at midnight after breaking down on the highway and after speaking to them 3 different times about the status, NOT ONE TIME until I came to have it towed home was I informed that I owed a diagnostic fee that I should have telepathically known about and when I challenged this non disclosure I was eventually released with no charge when Steve S. realized I was not backing down. I immediately called to speak to a manager when I returned home but he was not in and I told Meagan about my happiness she said Steve S. told her of the encounter and that he finally just let me leave because I was belligerent which was an absolute LIE that my daughter who was with me could attest to that though I challenged their charging NOT ONCE did any foul language leave my mouth.I will be sure that everyone I know is made aware of the unethical nature of the Hampton Car Care Center and to stay far away!!!

I went into the car care center right when they opened at 7am Monday morning to have them look at my car. I knew that I was leaking coolant and needed that fixed, but the bigger issues was that my car had some electrical issues with starting and randomly cutting off on the road. I purposely got to AAA as early as possible in order to get my car looked at, dealt with, and returned asap. The guy behind the counter seemed like he litrlaly could not have cared any less about what I was telling him and kept trying to cut me off by saying yea well check everything out. I left the facility around 7:15am Monday morning. I did not receive any phone calls or updates all day. Fast forward to Tuesday (the next day). I called at 11am to ask how my car was coming along. The guy who answered the phone said that he had no clue and there were no notes or updates in the system. He said that the technician was eating lunch but would call me back within the hour. The hour came and past and I still got no call. I waited until 2pm and finally called the location and no one answered. I left a message and waited. At 3pm I decided to go to the location in person and see what was going on. I walked in and the guy behind the counter (same guy as Monday and who I talked to on phone) made eye contact with me and immediately looked down at his keyboard. I walked up and asked what the deal with my car was and he said oh I was just about to call you. He said that there were no problems with the electrics and they ran a diagnostic test and found that I needed a new radiator cap. IT TOOK FROM 7AM-6PM, AND 7AM-3PM TO FIND OUT THAT I NEEDED A RADIATOR CAP! Then the man behind the counter said that they would bring the car in and get that done for me and call me when it was ready for pickup. Now, at 5:35pm, 25 minutes before they close I called in because I had not heard anything from them. The same guy answered the phone and said oh yea your car has been sitting here. I was just going to call in the morning and you could get it then. I told him that I wanted my car now if it was done. I had to rush in and got my car at 5:59. A minute before they close. I honestly seriously doubt that they did anything at all with my car and I just wasted 2 whole days and my money. I WILL NEVER USE THE CAR CARE CENTER AGAIN! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANY AND EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

My husband took his car here for service. Upon entering the store, there was no greeting, how can I help you or anything. The representatives (middle age or older males) just looked at him. Then when my husband asked if this was the correct location of the building to have his car worked on, one of the men just shook his head, yes; still no words. They did not say what can we help you with or any inquiry as to what was needed. At this point my husband told them what he believed to be the problems. He was told a diagnostic would be ran and they would proceed from there. It was later in the day so we left the car overnight. The next day we did not hear from them and when my husband called no one answered. The following morning he called and the car was not done yet; they promised to do the diagnostic and call him back. By midday, no call so he went back to the facility and was told they were swamped, so they could not tell him when they would get to it, or even give him an estimate!! He still had to pay for the diagnostic ($109). My husband decided not to leave the car.The customer service and lack of communication were the biggest problems with them! I really would have preferred not to have even paid for the diagnostic; after-all they should not have even done it if they could not foresee a plausible time frame for beginning work on the car! I guess we were at fault for evening leaving the car after the initial encounter (no acknowledgment or attempt to assist without prompting). Poor Poor service!!!

Brought our own tires to put on around 10:30, they didn’t pull the car to the back and begin to put on the tires until 11. We are the ONLY ones sitting in here & there are NO cars in the back so they aren’t busy . Here it is 1:00pm and we’re staying waiting for them to put the tires on ! To say I am pissed is an understatement. We will NEVER come back here again NOR will I recommend anyone to come!!

Waited 3 1/2 hours to patch tire. was told could not patch it. it was not the tire I asked to be fixed. said they checked all tires but that was clearly a lie. general manager and associates never apologized for making the mistake. the whole time I was there they never moved the car to check tire, which could have been done by general manager or associates since general manager and associate cat both use to work at treadquarters. All three of the front associates in the car care section were unfriendly and unresponsive to my and others requests on what was taking so long. Not professional in customer service and not knowledgable in the back where the mechanics work. Duh

BEWARE STAY AWAY! The Hampton store is the worst. Ive only been twice and both times my car has come back with a leak/problem. 1st time they cut a transmission line. Lost all fluid 40 miles away from home. 2nd time they didnt screw the oil filter on and I nearly lost 4qts of oil! Brought it back and they wanted to charge me $160 to fix the problem. NEVER EVER GOING BACK!

Very disappointed brought car in for diagnosis of burning smoke from front of car...When I was told problem and price elected to look around for second opinion and asked for car to b prepared to leave. So wld not add more damage to car had it towed home. The next day tried to move car and it just shook uncontrollably. My complaint is car was not shaking at all. Now I have spend money for another diagnosis ad to why shaking. Thanks AAA. This will b my last visit to this establishment.

They put the wrong radiator in my Mercedes.and all it originally needed was a alternator. Then they said I needed a radiator. Said it was ready.picked it up and the hood latch was broken. And it didnt even last 45 min. Took it back to AAA and the hose popped off the radiator and fluid went everywhere, a week and a half later they said it was ready my husband drove it to work in fort Eustis, on his way home the low coolant light came on the pulled over and the hose is disconnected again. Needless to say we still have no car. had to get it towed to another auto shop definitely not ever going back.

Ive had my cars repaired and maintained here for the last several years... Since November 2006 when they opened. If you are an AAA member you receive a discount off service. Ladies day is Wednesday and oil changes are heavily discounted that day but arrive early. They also host a Girls Garage quarterly to show the ladies how to maintain and understand their vehicle. The waiting area is clean and roomy and I was able to use the complimentary wifi while I waited. There is free coffee/cocoa at this location and TV. It is in walking distance to CVS as well.
