Fabulous dog-stuff, great quality items and they stand by their brand with full integrity. I recently decided to return our dogs slate car cargo protector. Our dog loved it and as she is often dirty from hiking, we regularly hosed it off, as directed. However, gradually, the cover had faded from its deep slate-blue to a pale faded blue from being left outside to dry in the sun. Orvis honored my return with a full refund and whilst I will likely buy a similar product in this hose-off protector but we will likely go with a hammock-style design. This us in the hope that we can help to alleviate our huskys fear of being thrown forward in the car, as she is a fearful and tense passenger! However, I will need to be extra vigelent and be sure to keep it out of the direct sun to prevent it from fading. I do wish they had more design-options in the hose-off protectors as having a mesh windowed hammock similar to the grip-tight version would be ideal! As our husky is often overheated from running and hiking with us, she loves to shake inside our car and having the addition of a mesh window would allow her to benefit from the direct middle passenger AC air-vents to more-quickly cool her down. It would also be nice to be able to keep a eye on her on long car-rides...so keeping her mucky and wet dog messiness contained on one cover and within one area would be ideal.

Nice store, good selection of flyfishing material and equipment. Bought a guide nippers hope it works out. I have a Simms guide nippers with replaceable jaws but they no longer do replacement jaws. I am hoping Orvis doesnt do the same thing. Friendly staff, very helpful.

I have been in this store a handful of times now and each time it was a great experience. I usually hate stores that bombard you as soon as you walk through the door. The staff here have a nice balance of being helpful but not pushy. Everyone I spoke with really knew their stuff and they were able to give great advice and were very friendly. I would highly recommend going to this store.

I spent this past Sunday taking the Fly fishing 301 class and Im so glad I did. What a day! Half the day floating with Brown and the other half wading with Mark. Both of these guys are top notch. I took Fly fishing 101 a few months ago and it was great, but this was even better. Having these guys right with you to help put you right on the fish, then to land them was awesome. They just know how to teach without making you feel embarrassed. And the conversation is great as well. I highly recommend visiting these guys - youll get hooked!

Called to ask if they had an item in stock, after checking, Carol came back to the line and said they did not but if Id like to come in and order, or order through her on the phone there would not be a charge for direct shipping to my home. Within 4 minutes my order was complete. Wonderful experience

Called around town looking for a specific wader/water gear repair kit. All of the other outfitters were friendly and helpful in checking their stock, however none of the nearby shops had what I needed. The only retail sales person who was rather short with me on the phone was the gentleman at Orvis. I told him I was looking for a specific repair kit, which he immediately replied Yes to. The problem however was that I hadnt even had the opportunity to tell him the specific kit I was looking for. It was off putting, but I kept trying to get a valid answer. I told him I specifically needed an Aquaseal with Cotol-240 kit, and asked if he could verify he had it in stock. He told me he did in fact have it. I drove the 30 minutes it takes me to get to their shop, in freezing rain, only to find out they did not have it in stock. Crappy attitudes and crappy service. Ive been an avid fly tier and angler for 26 years, having guided for a couple of Orvis outfits in my younger years. I can assure you I wont spend a single dime at this location, or ever recommend anyone else to support them either.

So I went into this store on 1-5-19 to get a pair of waders. The fishing manager Mark was super helpful, and had great customer service. They didnt quite have the right size so we ordered a pair. I recieved them the following Wednesday and they were a little to big so I went back to the store and felt with a different sales rep to exchange them, and ended up deciding to get a refund because they didnt have a size that I was going to order to try on. I paid with cash when I bought the first pair, and they refused to refund in cash. At first they tried to say they would have to send a check in the mail, and I refused so they gave money back on my debit card, wasnt impressed with this policy so I wont be back in this store.

I took the Orvis 301 class with Orvis Greenville and Brown Trout Fly Fishing and had the time of my life! 4 Hours of Wading instruction from Mark White (Orvis Greenville) and 4 hours of floating instruction from Brown Hobson (Brown Trout Fly Fishing). Caught 10 beautiful Rainbow trout on the wading portion and 8 rainbow & 2 brown on the float (maybe more, I lost count). I cant emphasize enough how much fun I had and what great instructors each of these guys are! At $150 for the class, they provide lunch and an incredible experience! You cant get a better deal than this class at that price! Ill definitely take advantage of this again if theyll let me. Do yourself a favor and sign up for the 301 course through Orvis and Brown. You wont regret it!

While my husband and I have previously very pleased with this store and previous personnel interaction, I had a negative experience yesterday. I went in to purchase a pair of waders that my husband has been eyeing because he simply wouldnt go splurge on himself so I wanted to do so for him. I knew specifically what size he wanted and when I got the salesmans attention I was immediatly asked my husbands anthropometrics for sizing of the waders I had selected. I politely responded to the salesmans questions with my husbands height and shoe size to which the salesman insisted on a certain size, although larger than what my husband had requested. When I hesitated and reiterated my intentions to buy the smaller size that my husband wanted I was met comments by the salesman regarding another customer who fit the build of my husband (only per my description as he was not present) that went with the larger size and with my continued hesitance I was met with other comments along the lines of, we do know what we are talking about here; trust me he will be displeased with your selection and need the larger size. The salesman then even offered to waive an expedited shipping cost with a push to order the size he recommended as the previous customer with the same build as my husband had bought the last in that size (because I did manage to mention that we leave for vacation next week during which we will be fly fishing together in California). In hindsight I should have been more pushy in hopes to just leave the store with my intended purchase in hand, but I never even got to the part of asking if the size I initially wanted for my husband was in stock. Fortunately, my husband is impressed with the quality of Orvis products and craftsmanship for all that he needs for his favorite hobby, but unfortunately we will likely try to avoid patronizing this specific Orvis location, although incredibly close to our home, due to this type of customer service. I do not doubt this salesmen brings much expertise to his position, but a sale was lost today due to his attitude and lack of tact in his communication with me personally. I have to say, I was in that certain consumer mood where I could have just splurged and purchased the 86 4-weight Recon to really outfit my husband for our trip with all the goodies he has been wanting, but such purchase, or any purchase, just wasnt the outcome with yesterdays experience.
