A to Z Supply is a local treasure. We drive here first to buy any needed hardware or project supplies. The employees here are inspired, intelligent and most helpful. It is a pleasure to not feel ripped off every time one walks through the door. Very pleasant to shop an old fashioned, well stocked hardware store, for a change. No excuses ever given or needed. If item is not in stock, they offer to order it for you. And they will do just that. You can actually count on A to Z!I can not type enough good words to describe how well this store is run, stocked and staffed. A first rate operation in all ways.

A to Z has consistently the best customer service of GV hardware stores, almost every time I go there someone does me a solid and finds the stuff I need. I was doing our first garden drip system and Charlie looked at my drawing and found us EVERYTHING, the system went together like a kit. I’d probably still be looking at one of the other places where you’re on your own to puzzle out the mysteries of plumbing.Competitive prices and good quality on the hardware. Lots of extra hardware, bulkier stuff down in the basement, worth asking if you don’t see what you’re looking for.

Used to have helpful service. Now that theyve hired a bunch of new employees, the helpers are overbearing. I was asked if I needed help 4 different times by 4 different employees in a span of 5-7 minutes, who were clearly looking for something to do. They often run out of commonly used materials, so I have to go to other hardware stores to find them. Not great.

I wanted a Satsuma Plum. I was called that they had found one for me. I expected a 4 or so starter tree. The tree they found was about 8 tall! It was healthy and really beautiful, at a great price! I couldnt be happier about it.

At Z has everything and more that a hardware store could or should have! The garden department is Amazing! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. 5 Stars++!! This is our Go To hardware store for plumbing, hardware, fixtures and outdoors. They have it all and then some. If they dont have it, they will order it. Great place to shop, always. I dont even have to call first to see if they will have it, even I sure plumbing parts or exotic yard plants...they always have it or can get it within a day or 2. Love this place, and the staff is always upbeat and professional without being institutionally impersonal. No hard salesmen to cope with and they love being there, it shows in every display and the vast product selection. The items are all top grade and returns for any reason are always honored regardless of condition or reason. Go! Its worth it!! Always.

Local family owned hardware and plumbing supply. When I was just 25 yrs old and a landscaper they helped me learn to design sprinkler systems. Now Im 60 and they continue to be patient and informative with my home projects. Attended their Ladies Night event this year, so fun, thanks to the garden center for all the cool swag, as well as their professional help through the years. I think you will be pleased with A to Z Supply.

Not the biggest store but they have what you actually need. In addition, the helpful, knowledgeable staff will find you and help you, typically as soon as you walk in the door someone will do anything they can to get you what you need rapidly. (Can you tell Im a happy customer? 21 years and it keeps getting better!)

Extreme markups. While I believe in paying extra to support local businesses, s mark up from $2.30 to $15.30 for a ten pack of pigtail connectors is obscene -- 032076049966 UPC. I didnt even look at the other things I needed; Ill just go to Auburn tomorrow.

I am always more happy walking out the door at A to Z than when I go in. The staff go above and beyond to make my experience there a great one. Today I went in to get the last pieces of a daunting gardening project. I was in and out in 5 min with the right tools and a clear idea of what to do, all because they gladly sorted my plan through with me and helped me find what I needed. They are my #1 place to go!!!

Family has been coming here forever. Very helpful, friendly, plentiful staff. Have never had to hunt for someone to help me, plus its nice seeing many of the same faces year after year. My go-to garden center. Lynn can answer any question I have in this area.

This is the absolutely best hardware store in Nevada County. These guys give incredible service, like the good-ol days before big box stores. Even though they are smaller than B&C and Hills Flat, they have a better selection of most things, especially when it comes to plumbing, bee keeping, gardening, and homesteading. If we dont support places like this, all well have are Home Depots and Lowes.

A to Z has no national chain affiliations and little web presence. The aisles are narrow and crowded with a chaotic collection, spread across two floors and two buildings and an outdoor nursery.My last trip there was for a contactor for my air conditioner. No other retailer in Nevada county (or Auburn) offered these on a Saturday, so that made A to Z the best provider of electrical hardware (on a Saturday, in Nevada County).
