Im confused by all the negative reviews because Ive been using this pharmacy for a few years on and off, but most recently Ive been using this pharmacy for about a year consistently. Ive never been treated badly or had anyone be rude to me at any point. This pharmacy has been the only one Ive visited with decent behaving employees.

I attempted to get a COVID shot for my son, and after checking the CDC website and seeing that walk-ins are accepted, we arrived at CVS in Grand Forks at about 5:50. We waited in line, and when we got to the register, we were told that they don’t do walk-ins after 6:00. It was 5:57 and their “walk-ins welcome” sign was right there next to the register. The person at the register asked the pharmacist, and he repeated the same. I told them that the website said something different, and the pharmacist just walked away and they wouldn’t budge. When I got home I went to the website to see if I misread something. I then discovered that I could schedule an appointment for the same day at 8pm. Unbelievable.

Ok story time i was on hold for an hour yesterday and never got through to them, and had to do other things.. My prescription was running out and was supposed to be filled by now but was put on hold and I was suppose to contact the pharmacy. Since I couldnt go over and talk to them yesterday (Sunday and they closed earlier) I tried again today at 9am, 11 am, and now 5pm and nobody answered, was on hold for an hour. Wanted to get this sorted out today because Im out, and again I cant go over there myself, I dont have time to stand in line just to ask for my prescription to be filled when I can do that over the phone with a quick 2 minute phone call.. I was trying to get it figured out over the phone so I can just go pick it up real quick later, but thats not the case and since I couldnt go over there earlier, I will have to tonight, if I can get over there in time, then most likely wont get prescription until tomorrow, which is 2 days without it so Ill get a fun reaction. Not good, Switching pharmacies. But, my medication is on hold so I cant do that at the moment because CVS s holding it hostage.

If you want to call in your prescriptions by phone you are wasting your time with this Pharmacy. Everytime I call them Im put on hold indefinitely. Usually I give up after 15-20 minutes, once more than an hour. A handful of time Ive tried calling during the hours Google says theyre the least busy and still no answer. Apparently this is a business that believes its acceptable to ignore their customers.

I would have rated this business a 1 star, but they have caring pharmacists. On the other hand their pharmaceutical technicians, or people that work the register are honestly quite rude to everyone and really ruin this pharmacy. This place is mentally exhausting to go to when dealing with some of the technicians. I would recommend brining your business elsewhere even if it costs a few extra dollars because your mental health is more important than a few dollars.

I live 75 miles away from the CVS in Grand Forks. I am pleased that they call me with reminder messages when my prescriptions need to be refilled and that they will call the doctors office to renew, if needed. Then, upon my request, they mail me the filled prescription without charge! Prices are the best I have found. Furthermore, I travel out-of-state in the winter months, and I am able to use the CVS pharmacies in AZ, & NM in person with no problem. A real boon because ND pharmacies can not ship prescriptions out of state. Also, I have found the pharmacists and technicians at the Grand Forks CVS to be courteous and helpful, both in person and on the phone.

We all hate pharmacies. The lines take for ever, the staff doesnt want to help, and not to mention the fiends. Thats just not the case at CVS Grand Forks. The staff is very quick, they go the extra mile, while thats telling you a few extra helpful tips with your medication or just genuinely saying thank you. The rep that I normally deal with is Wyatt White, hes so nice! He even remembered my name when I came back for my medication. More employees need to model after him. I cant express my dislike for this place. I go here for one prescription because they stock the brand I like and because they are open later so I am not screwed if I forget to pick it up from Walls by 6:00. Just now I got through the drive up line well after it was supposed to be done, was told the pharmacist wasnt done counting it yet so I had to go to the back of the line again, and got a text saying it was done before I even got back in line for another 10 minute wait. Its always something. One hour minimum regardless of how busy they are when Walls rarely takes longer than 15 minutes. Often there its 10. Some other places take 30. How does CVS justify that? I feel sorry for their employees because I am sure they do the best they can within a structure that makes it hard for them to provide good service. Yes, I am very slow at typing on my phone and I am still here.

I love other CVS locations but after moving here I think I’m done with CVS and couponing here. It’s always way more frustrating than it needs to be when making a trip here to avoid going to Walmart. The pharmacy takes forever, one of my insurances they never seem to be able to work, but the other pharmacies in town have no issues with using it and the other cvs in Fargo uses it with no issue. They even once made me think my insurance was cancelled and caused me to panic while pregnant trying to get meds just to find out nothing had changed and it was fine.99% of the carts have busted straps for securing children. The cvs coupons and promos are always an issue.Just one of many examples, coupon from coupon center: spend $30 get a free $15 beauty bag. I spend $30, doesn’t work, the manager says oh it must have to be $30 cosmetics but it doesn’t say that, it just says spend $30 even in the fine print.Or sale tags, for example, says advent calendars buy one get one 1/2 off, so you grab 2 different ones with the same sale sticker and then again, the manager says they have to be the same brand even though it’s listed as the same sale. Those are just 2 recent frustrations, every visit there’s a new frustration where there’s a line of people and your 15 minute trip takes an hour and you leave stressed out. Stuff is way overpriced if you’re not shopping sales or store coupons.Save yourself the headache, go to Wall’s pharmacy or Hugo’s and just do your shopping and couponing at Target or the other places in town.

CVS automatically refilled a prescription that I did not need and refilled on Dec. 26th without so much as a call to me.Every time I have called I have been put through straight to hold and have waited over a half hour each time without speaking with anyone. I have called the regular store to get assistance and they transfer me back to the phone line where I am on hold the entire time. I was told their phone lines are down!! How can they not be fixed its been over two weeks. This is absolutely ridiculous, I work multiple jobs and do not always have the time to go into the store for assistance, especially when I havent used CVS for ANY prescription in over four months.

She said “we can do that if there is a card on file”. I said “I gave it to you last time so I hope so”. She said “we will only know when we ring it through.” I said well how will I know if it doesn’t work?” She said “you won’t get your meds!!.” Nice 🤦🏻‍♀️ I said “so I will just sit and wait for 2-7 days?” No response. ) How about u call me and let me know or actually look it up? I wouldn’t recommend going to this pharmacy unless you have several hours to wait for your prescriptions. The clinic called in the prescription and I went to pick it up an hour later...not filled yet. I thought ok there busy I’ll come back in a bit. Went back 3 hours later...STILL NOT FILLED!! I was curious how much it would be so I asked and found out the prescription was for a name brand that isn’t covered by insurance so I said I’d like to call the doctor and get a generic since it wasn’t filled yet. Went back the next morning. NOT FILLED YET! Waited the whole day and called at about 4pm to check up on it. After being on hold for 14 minutes I gave up and went to the pharmacy. Was told the order was expedited and would be ready in 15 minutes. So I left and came back 30 minutes later. Waited in line for 20 minutes, got to the head of the line. She says “sorry sir we ran out of that medication, it will be back in stock at 3:30 tomorrow.” OMG!! Getting it filled and not going back again!!!

Horrible. I had used CVS for years.Things had starting going WAY downhill a couple years ago.Not the store staff but the pharmacy.I was once almost denied my daughters medication, a controlled substance for ADD, because it was her name on the script and not mine. My daughter was 10. At the time. 10.They very nearly didnt give it to me. After about a half an hour they finally figured out that I am her mother, she is a minor, and I pick up her script EVERY MONTH.I was once literally accused of abusing a different med of hers which is NOT a controlled substance. I needed to fill a day or two early because she was going to visit relatives for 2 weeks, and only had 5 days worth of meds left. I needed to send her with a full supply, there is no legal reason they couldnt fill, I asked. I was flat out refused her medication and the pharmacist told me the thinks Im abusing it so she wont fill it. She agreed that there was no law forbidding her to fill it, she just wouldnt. When it came to my own medications I was always treated like an addict or drug seeking criminal. I have legitimate prescriptions for Ambien, Trazadone, and an antidepressant. These are medications I have discussed with my doctor. These are medications I had been fully informed on and used for years.I eventually had to switch to Medicaid and the service and friendliness of the pharmacy switched like a light.Once they see Medicaid you are basically labeled a low life drug seeking criminal. I put up with their accusations, poor service, and abuse for a few months longer because the hours are just convenient.I recently switched to an Altru pharmacy and am impressed. They are friendly, quick, organized, have things done when they say they will be done.

First and foremost, Id like to say that not ALL the staffs in there are rude and unhelpful, ive met good ones who are really friendly and nice but there is one staff that Ive black listed and her name is Jane. Shes an older lady whos just not professional when it comes to customer service. My bf went there 1st time last month, he had a few prescriptions but one of them has been stopped by the doc, so he told her that shes no longer taking that med. Apparently, she did not understood that, charged my bf 27 bucks for it and of course, my bf was partly at fault for not checking before he left, so he couldnt get his refund the next day.Today, I went back for his refills, LUCKY enough Jane was the cashier. There was a guy before me and she was all nice to him, when it came to me, she started to look like she had to go, not sure where but just had to go(Dinner? Toilet?). She brought me all the refills, while i was checking, one of them again was stopped by the docs, so i informed her. I also brought up that one med was missing from the list too. She had the look on her face, as if shes trying to tell me that im making her work life miserable. She then commented This is gonna take longer than I thought I did not take offence to that at first, until I started making payments for it. I had my bfs card and the machine was asking for a pin, i didnt have it so i started to text my bf, (there was no queue behind me) which she then dropped another annoyed comment Oh, come on My bfs card usually doesnt need one so i was a little lost when it prompted for one, but still, her impatience plus her smart mouth with the comments does not help make this transaction any more pleasant.I am a very neutral and easy going person and Im not someone who complains about every little thing that goes wrong but my experience with her did piss me of a little. Of course, she closed her counter immediately after she was done with me, but the point is, i would rather have her redirect me to another line than to have to put up with her rude service just because she needs to leave. Fingers crossed that I wont see her again.

Im giving this place a one-star rating, not because of the pharmaceutical staff at the store, but for the corporate management to continue to allow this store to run as poorly as it does. The workload:staff ratio at this store is unacceptable and patient safety and care is at risk. Last time I called to have this store reverse a claim they ran (I work in a pharmacy; the physican accidentally sent the script there, they ran it through insurance, and the patient told us they wanted it filled at my pharmacy) and I was on hold for 45 minutes! We had to tell the patient to come back later (go run an errand, etc). The patient was so upset with CVS, and I was upset for being on hold so long. We would have told the patient to just get it at CVS, but our luck would have it that they ran it but never filled it. Our pharmacist also got hung up on by an upset technician at this store. We dont necessarily blame the technican; shes working in an environment that is unsafe, stressful, and shes definitely underpaid.Hire more staff and improve workflow. Let the staff have breaks, too. No wonder theyre crabby.Do not go here, or to any CVS, due to their complete disregard to patient (and work) safety. Theyre a corporation out there eager to pinch pennies at everyones expense.
