As I was driving by Family Size Motors lot I spotted my dream vehicle times 2. (HUMMER H2) I have been looking around for quite a while, so when I seen two on the same lot my eyes dropped and my wife had to clean up my drool. So obviously we did a U-turn and stopped at the lot. Once there we were greeted by Christian. He was so helpful in getting us set up to look at the Hummers and check them out. They were both great looking and low miles. He quickly got us set up so we could take one for a test drive. It was pretty easy to fall in love right away. I think the whole family loved it and of course it had all the features we were looking for. The wife needed a moon roof and seat heaters the kids needed the video players on the back headrest and of course I needed it to be a HUMMER and a big engine. because of the price we thought we might not be able to get it because it was a good chunk of change and our credit is only mediocre. But Christian and the team came through and delivered. We drove off in the Familys new HUMMER H2. The process was quick and to the point no hassles or anything. I would like to change my initial 5 star rating to a 3. Although my initial car buying experience was good. I still haven’t received the title & registration to the vehicle I purchased from them. I’ve called them numerous times and each time they say they’ll check on the status and call me right back, but they never do. It has been 6 months now and I still don’t have the registration or title to my vehicle and I have no idea what the status is.

Shady business not a great place to buy a car. sold us bad car said they pay off our trade in and lied about it never paid the other car dealer for the car.. read the reviews and see for yourself. they are saying that old customers are ex employees that is a bad thing to say about a customer or customers plus I love how you say that some people never been there but you say that they are ex employees. you guys are a joke a few days in now and I am still getting a run around with this place and it is a bit more complicated now

Last Saturday I bought my pt cruiser from them. My parents and I went to look at it and have a test drive, but it had a dead battery. They said sorry several times, they started it up, we took it for a test drive. I bought it. Love this Dealership. Christian came out and delivered the vehicle to us because we have a newborn. We basically did most everything online and over the phone on qualifying for the loan etc.The vehicle has a 6 month warranty- which to us made an impact because we wanted to be insured that we were trading and putting money down on a quality vehicle. So far so good. Also there was a pretty low interest rate, which we were happy with.Anyways, in a nutshell we were impressed by the responsiveness and the quick reply with this car Dealership as a whole. The owner seems to care about his clientele not just into selling cars, that’s cool right?And as far as who to go to, go through Christian - he’s a good guy.

First off, I would like to thank Laura for everything she’s done for me. She was very patient with my concerns, she didn’t pressure me and she kept the car I was interested in until I got my financing into order. Daniel was also very nice to me. When I told him that the car didn’t have a jack, he went and found one for me. He also put in some mats, which I didn’t expect, so I’m thankful to him as well.I do recommend that if you’re going to put a down payment of more than $1000 that you pay with cash or get the approval of your bank ahead of time. One of the things that I had a problem with was getting the price approved when I used my card. Which is no fault of family size motorz but they did forget to mention that they charge 3% in fees when a card is being used. I’m sure it’ll be helpful to know that as well.When I first contacted Laura she told me that they treat their customers like family. Which I believe is true because even after I bought the car she still stays in contact with me to make sure it’s fitting to my needs. If I have a problem she’s willing to help me to get it fixed. It’s really amazing and I’m very appreciative towards Laura and Family Size Motorz.

Update: The morning after I posted this I received a call from Daniel at Family Sized Motors. He offered to continue to work on this, but since I said Id prefer to take care of it myself, he refunded my registration fee via Cash App while we were on the phone. Resolved!Update 2: Daniel called later to ask what he could do to make me change the star rating. I told him I added a positive update (above) once the issue was resolved but the star rating reflected my experience. He insisted there had to be something he could do, and offered me $50 to change it which Im not cool with. But I know online reviews can be huge issues for small businesses, so I agreed to change the star-rating but keep the text. I also said very explicitly multiple times: do not send me $50, I am super uncomfortable with that. But of course, he did anyway. So now Im dealing with that.I actually had a good experience buying a solid used car here at a fair price. However, getting them to finish the work on the due bill (aka it was agreed to before signing the paperwork) was like pulling teeth. Whatever, the work was minor, not a big deal.I paid the dealership to file my title and registration. Three months after purchase, no plates, and I was concerned. I couldnt get help by phone, so I drove down to the dealership and asked them to look into it (plus, I hadnt given up on the aforementioned due bill yet). They assured me everything was fine and the DMV was just really backed up due to the pandemic.Then, six months after purchase, I call the DMV for a status update on my plates. The DMV agent tells me that they never received my registration paperwork & payment. Yikes.After a week of calling the dealership trying to get some info, I asked them to refund my my registration fee, so I could submit it myself. They said absolutely, well cut you a check, whats your mailing address, etc. Anyway, that was three weeks ago, no check.I kind of hate people who post negative reviews, but honestly Im just trying to get in touch with someone there without driving down to Gladstone again.Hi, Family Sized Motors! We purchased a very nice used car yesterday for my wife. We were treated excellent by the entire staff and they made sure we got to check the vehicle out as much as we wanted. I ran scans for codes at no bother to the staff, and was pretty meticulous about the details of the SUV. Ed, Daniel and Adam were very kind and helpful as we got the financing paperwork completed. They appeared laid back and worked hard to get us a great deal. Ed got us into the SUV we wanted and for almost half the interest rate I was expecting. He sat with us and just spoke with us like a regular person, not a salesman. I appreciate that because many small lots get a bad reputation for things that they cannot control. Everything was handled as quickly as possible from start to finish and my wife is thrilled so far with the purchase. All used cars have risks when purchasing and not everyone is going to get financed so I hope people don’t rate a business poorly based on their own personal decisions that led to being denied credit. Im a little late writing my review but I wanted to get out here and still say how.u felt about our experience with family size motors. My husband and I drove up to Gladstone from sweet home its about a 2 hour drive one way, we went up there initially to go to another dealership looking to buy a family size suv. We had a pretty hard bugdet we had to stick to with our payments so that made things tough for us to find just the right vehicle. We went ended up going to a few other bigger dealers in that area and non of them had what we were looking for in our price range. So we went back to the small dealership called family sized motors where we were greated right away with a smiling friendly gal named Laura right away I felt good about this place. The manager Daniel worked with us after I fell in love with a 2014 Ford explorer. He knew we were on a tight bugdet so he did what he could to take extra fees off for us and he also compensated for a bad worn tire on the vehicle by giving us a $400 check to replace the tire. These two really wemt.out if thier way to make this experience good for us. First new car for us. We would go back for another vehicle in the future. Small dealership but lots of nice suvs.

Traded in my car and got a new from them and the entire process was awesome. I worked with Ed, Brad, and Daniel throughout the process and it felt like I was getting my car from a family friend. Good vibes would highly recommend!

This dealership sold a vehicle that they did not have possession of a title for, but they still charged over $400 for a title transfer and new tags as well as provided the copies of filled out title transfer forms and said the new title would come in the mail. Come to find out months later, after I called the DMV, they had filed for a lost title and failed to complete the process. Continued calls to the dealer gets the same response, I will call the DMV and figure it out, waiting for the DMV to get back to us. Its a complete run around by the dealer as I have spoken to the DMV several times and they freely tell me they are just waiting on the dealer to complete the lost title process. This dealer is either completely incompetent or just doesnt care. It is illegal in Oregon for a dealer to sell a vehicle that they do not have possession of a title for!! They sold this vehicle in June and it is now March of the following year. Do not trust this dealer they are shady!

They gave us the car to let our mechanic look it over before we purchased.There were a couple of things we wanted fixed like tire pressure monitor system and condensation in the passenger side headlight.Daniel provided us with a loaner car while these items were taken care of. I couldnt bring the car back for 2 months after we purchased it and he still took care of the headlight and even restored the finish on the other headlight so they would both look new.We have always been greeted by someone when we came on the lot. Adam was always cheerful and introduced us to his young son who was with him that day.Very easy to do business with!

I attempted to buy from the local Power dealership in Newport and was sent home with a really expensive lemon. After getting out of that, I decided to try it here back home when I came to town unexpectedly for an emergency. With mom in the hospital, they worked out every single part of the deal through text, email and phone calls. I went to this place not expecting to much on this lot. When I pulled in and parked, I could clearly see all the vehicles and how clean they were. As we walked around and looked at a couple of suvs the gentleman came up and made us feel like family, from the get-go. We were clear and precise about what we wanted. We are very picky, they produced the perfect vehicle. We were helped and served within an 1 hour or 2. I have never felt so comfortable at a car dealership before.
