I blew a front tire on the elevated portion of 670 outside of Gahanna during morning rush hour, which was terrifying. I was able to limp into town and luckily ended up a block away from Tiltons. The guys there were great. They were fast, efficient, and kind - and took great care of me and my car and made sure I was able to get safely home an hour away. My day could have been a nightmare, but I got very lucky. Highly recommend!

“I will NOT BE BACK”I wanted to do a review on my most recent service:• Appointment: July 7th at 10:00am. (Scheduled July 2nd at 3:42pm)•I called July 6th at 3:50 to verify if I could supply my own part.•I was placed on hold and waited for 4 minutes. I figured they were really busy, so I hung up.•At 9:41 am on the 7th I purchased the wheel bearing for 155.99, just in case. (July 5th A service advisor at Ford told me I needed to replace the wheel bearing. They were unable to service me that day).• Arrived to my appointment and explained I needed the front wheel bearing changed.•A vehicle inspection was performed. I was told I needed a front wheel bearing.• I told him that I had one in the front seat.•He explained they DO NOT take customer supplied parts.•I asked if they had the part on hand. The gentleman explained it will need to be ordered.• He told me the wheel bearing (comes with a 3 year warranty) and service would cost me roughly 544.00•He asked if I needed a loaner or a ride anywhere. I told him I would wait.*My concerns*•While waiting, I checked the website which states, “ 36 months/ 36,000 Coast to Coast Warranty.• I wanted to leave but A different gentleman was already working on removing the wheel bearing.• Upon receiving my receipt: An axle hub was purchased price 280.23 instead of solely a wheel bearing.•The wheel bearing and axle Hub are sold separately at least in auto stores.•If the gentleman at Tilton’s would’ve said here is the price for a wheel bearing, but in my professional opinion I suggest you purchase the axle hub: It includes the wheel bearing and other components.• I could’ve had the opportunity to make an informed decision instead of thinking the markup was extremely high for a wheel bearing. A difference of 124.24.• The warranty specifications are on the receipt. “The warranty does not include towing charges or CUSTOMER SUPPLIED parts. It also states, “Replaced parts may be requested by CUSTOMER”!!!•So I am under the impression that my part could’ve been used. That would’ve saved me time and 315.00. Because I would’ve solely paid for labor.•In the end the tech told me he was able to save me some money!!!!!•I also found a shop rag in my car.*Conclusion*This experience doesn’t promote what they stand for to be a trustworthy Auto Repair Services.*A invoice needs to be printed out and handed to customers to verify they are getting what they requested prior to service*.My first experience still stands as a 5 star experience. A different gentleman took care of me that day and replace the bulb for my back taillight. He put a floor protector down. He was very professional, honest, and had integrity.

I brought my car in thinking brakes needed maintenance. I was pleasantly surprised when they called to tell me the brake pads would be good for awhile longer before needing replaced. Nice to deal with honest people. I will come back in the future for my car maintenance.

Excellent skill, and unbeatable customer service! I scheduled an appointment over the phone in less than three minutes for a brake repair. The efficiency with which their office is run was striking because they had all of my information correct and on file when I arrived the next day. Within less than 5 minutes, a mechanic rode with me to work in order hear what was going on in my car (and give me a ride to work!), then took my car in to the garage and it was ready by the end of the day. They communicated by text and email during the day (at my request) and finished the repairs before the close of business. I was able to pay over the phone and drive home with a fully repaired vehicle. Excellent efficiency, flexibility and skill for repair. Couldnt be happier.

I was just going in for a routine oil change and a major leak was discovered. If it wasnt for Dennis, I would never have known I had a leak until it was too late. I cant say enough good about the crew at Tiltons automotive. My car had been at another mechanic shop and I had been given a extremely large estimate of things that needed fixed. I was given Tiltons on a reference and took my car to them. They did a thorough work up and checked my car. I did NOT need all of the parts and repairs being pushed by the previous mechanic. Dennis and the crew were extremely honest, caring, thorough and went over what was going on with my car. I will not take my car anywhere else. Honesty and integrity are huge in my book at the staff here is top notch. Thank you Dennis for getting me in when the other dealership was quoting more than a week !Kind and courteous - these guys are Aces!

Not a lot of shops like this around anymore. I recently went in for a leaking tire, which they fixed for free. Then I brought my other automobile in for a lingering problem. They drove me to work and took the car an repaired it. Reasonable prices and trustworthy.

Most of the time when you call, the owner is the guy who answers the phone, I really appreciate that a ton. Also they will check out a car you are thinking about buying for free, very useful if you are looking for a used car to buy.

I have only worked with the Gahanna shop but I have to believe the values stem from the owner down to all shops. It is easy to find an automotive shop. We took our car here for a diagnostic because the reviews were good. The employee I dealt with was friendly, but when he started listing all the things wrong with our truck I about passed out. The price I was quoted was even worse. We got a battery put in, which was a ridiculous price, and went on our way. When I told the price to a mechanic friend, he was shocked and said that quote was way too high. We took our truck for a 2nd opinion and was told many of the things Tiltons found wrong were not wrong. By the way, that battery we bought from them is now completely dead....we bought it a month ago. Not the greatest experience.

Came in for a oil change but didnt realize i had oil leak underneath the car. This repair shop continue to change the oil knowing it was leaking. I came back Monday and ask about the leak. The guy at the front counter wss like yelp i remember but failed to disclose this information when i was there. Total rip off. I took my money somewhere else.

Everytime Ive gone they have been honest with what does need to be done on your car. They dont pressure you into getting it done, which they have not given me a list like one review said. They have also given me reasonable prices on parts that needed replaced. I had my wheel replaced because it was cracked and my tire pressure kepted getting low. They gave me a free check and they ordered a new wheel by the next day. It was done within less than an hour. I can tell my car is running a smoother as well.Update: I ended up getting my tire patched up at another shop because it wasnt just the wheel causing the air to come out of my tire. A nail apparently tore into the tire.I also had it at 5 stars but I found out they just want your money. Yesterday, I took my car in to get checked because my dashboard was reading that my back left tire was going flat so I was freaking out, didnt want to go spinning on the road or highway. They gave me too high of a price on tires and were saying it was just the tires that were the problem. So I had asked them if they could get my spare on where it was saying it was flat and that I needed to think about it and probably search around at other places. I get back find out they switched out the wrong tire. It takes much less time for a auto service place to put a spare on. So me and my boyfriend take a good 30+ minutes to move tires around in the right spots. We found out it is my air pressure system this whole time lying about the psi of my back left tire, probably my other tires as well. I probably dont need to get new tires until maybe another year. I am going to look else where for help for now on. Thanks for the honesty Tiltons Auto Shop.
