I am so impressed with the customer service, professionalism, knowledge, and skill of both Daniel and Nic Fenti. Daniel was quick to respond to my email inquiry and listened to my long list of problems I was having with my vehicle. Nic called to give me an update and get my approval before moving forward with a more costly repair. They worked around my schedule and completed the repairs. They also informed me of some items on my list that were not needed at this moment, as well as maintenance and replacements I need in the near future. I really appreciate having someone I can trust to take care of my vehicle... and without ripping me off. (And I drive from Fayetteville)

2 Weeks before I was supposed to take my 68 Mustang to an event in Charlotte. One of the bearings in my transmission started going bad. I explained the situation to them and they said they could get it done in time. I dropped off the transmission and after going through it they said I did not need a new 2nd gear which I thought I would. Ordered a rebuild quit and when it got there they realized my transmission was a rare model that only came in one year of mustangs. They quickly overnighted the right kit and got it back to me just in time for me to install it. I drove it all the way to Charlotte and several times since then and it has never shifted so well.

Took in my car and got charged 60 buck to tell me to run supreme fuel in the car for a little while. They may be good for older vehicles but newer vehicles seem to stump them. Any mechanic can run a diagnostic I just thought that a mechanic with transmission in their name would be an expert on even newer vehiclesNo they seem to be an aging business that care more about reviews than finding new ways to actually fix cars. Now that you replied I will make sure to update you on the repair.Well took my car to a Toyota place. The issue is a torque converter. Most shops run the vin number if this shop had done the same with some research it would have seen there was a service call for this fix. The service would have been covered Jan. 2020.

These guys are extremely unprofessional. We paid them thousands of dollars to fix our clutch and when we finally got our car back a week later, we noticed there were multiple scratches along the side that weren’t there before. We contacted the owner the next day and he agreed to pay half the repairs since he “couldn’t determine who’s fault it was,” although it was clearly their fault. After getting an estimate done, we sent it over to them and the owner said he would only pay after the repairs were finished. The owner then went on to accuse us of trying to scam him out of money, saying we probably caused the damage ourselves.Normally you go to a small business to have better customer service, not get accused of extortion. We finally got them to actually pay us, but we’ll never go here again. Save yourself a headache, go with real professionals!p.s. the scratches go forwards, not backwards, so it’s impossible that something on the road would’ve bounced up onto the vehicle.

I was on a road trip for work and my rig got funky. Took it to a couple local places with no luck. Took it in to Daniel and the boys and POOF, the issues disappeared! If these guys cannot fix it, no one can. Fast, friendly and an absolute pleasure to work with. Good to find there are honest people out in the world willing to take care of someone that was obviously a one time client from out of state.

Brought my sons S2000 in with transmission problems. Local Honda dealer quoted $2000 (without an inspection) but with service records as we had gotten it serviced there (at Honda) before. Brought it into NC Transmission, got a quote for much less and with a specific diagnosis. It was fixed on time, as quoted and weve had no problems with the transmission since. Owner is honest and nice. Great mechanic worked on the car. Recommended!

NC Transmission rebuilt my 16 yo daughters Jeep Wrangler transmission. We had just bought the jeep a month earlier and she only got to drive it for a month before we started having problems with it. We have put a lot of money into this thing not including what we bought it for. Daniel was AWESOME to deal with. Super friendly, explained everything, very fair price, and even brought me and my daughter behind the scenes to explain some stuff about her transmission! I was very, very impressed with him and the place. I would definitely use this place again! Highly recommend! This is Cynthia Matthews btw!!! Not Gary.

THE BEST TRANSMISSION AND AUTO REPAIR SHOP - AND THE MOST HONEST!! Daniel (the Owner) and Andy the Transmission Shop Manager are the Best!!!! They really know what they are doing and are professionals of the highest caliber. When I took my 2009 Toyota Tacoma 4 x 4 in needing a transmission rebuild - they took care of it with first rate work and made sure that everything was right and to my satisfaction. The guys at NC Transmission stand behind their work.. Their pricing is reasonable and they are up front about everything during the whole process. I highly recommend NC Transmission - they are now the only place I will take my Tacoma for any kind of service work it needs. Thanks Daniel and Andy - Keep up the Good Work!!!

So far, so good. Took my F-150 in to have some pretty severe shuddering looked at as it was shifting in/out of overdrive. Diagnosis and repair were very fast and well within the quoted time frame. I had called around for several estimates and they were in the ballpark or cheaper than all other estimates I got plus the turnaround time was shorter because they do the work in-house vs. outsourcing it. I have ~400 miles on the transmission now and its shifting better than it ever has since Ive owned it. They also did some other minor work like freeing up a seizing caliper, changing my coolant, and adjusting the parking brake. I think that the parking brake needs a little more tweaking, but thats a minor thing Ill have them look at during my 1,000 mile followup. Im pleased with the experience and would recommend them.

Daniel and his team have been working on our cars for 6 years. A few reasons why we are so happy with the service:1) Daniel never tries to upsell you on something you dont need. He is always conscious that folks are on a budget. This stems from the fact that he is interested in having longterm customers and not just making a quick sale and torching the bridge.2) When he makes a service recommendation, it will also come with a realistic timeframe in which he suggests you get it done. Unless its a really big deal, he rarely says it needs to be done that day (again, he realizes people are on a budget).3) When something comes up, he will fit you into his schedule. The best example I can give of this was about two years ago when I was rear-ended on my way home from work. He fit me in at the end of the business day to check out my car and let me know what the damage was.4) I cant say enough about Daniels honesty. The extent of my knowledge about cars is that they drive forward, and even sometimes in reverse! He could absolutely pull one over on me, but thats not how he operates. If you arent having your vehicle serviced at NC Transmission, you are 100% missing out on one of the best things Fuquay has to offer.

I have been taking my car to NC Transmission for about a year and always thought they were being fair with me....until last week. I took it in for an oil change and to have them investigate a loud noise it was making. I was told, based on the experience of the technician, that my transmission needed to be rebuilt; which would cost $2700-3500. I took the car to someone else for a 2nd opinion and it actually turned out to be an inexpensive fix. The car is fine now. So either NC Transmission purposely tried to take advantage of a woman whom they thought was an easy target or their transmission experts are sadly lacking in skills. How very disappointing!!

There are some good people working here. The transmission builder (Andy) is top notch and with good mechanics backing him up. They use quality parts and can get you back on the road usually within less than a week. The owner is a bit crass and can come off a bit of a pretentious jerk but all in all a good transmission shop. Pricing is within reason and warranty falls in line with most others out there. No financing options onsite can be a hindrance but there are other options available and most do not have onsite financing.

I will not take my vehicle any where else. Daniel and his crew have been my mechanic for the last 3 years and they are amazing. Being a woman, I hate when I go into a shop and get treated like I dont know whats going on or get taken advantage of. This is not the case at NC Transmission. Daniel and his crew treat me like one of the guys. If I dont understand something they break it down for me. Plus their fees are amazing too! I have a simple app that records your calls on my smart phone. I do this for quality purposes. I called the NC transmissions about odd noise coming from drive train on my 2007 Honda Pilot. During my conversation I told manager that I didnt believe it was transmission but something else. He then told me that they could diagnose the issue! Took vehicle in and they kept overnight and called me next day said could find anything wrong and just keep driving it? After charging me 115 dollars for a NPF I told them that this seemed wrong and emailed owner asking for my payment back!I suppose most would be happy to here this but when you feel in your gut that somethings is wrong you sure dont want to break down unexpectedly! I received email back from owner Daniel he went to tell me in some detail of his actual diagnosis of vehicle and said that there was some issues with transmission that he apparently didnt feel the need to tell me? Daniel said that he personally test drove my car and couldnt find anything wrong? Tested on diagnostics and no print out for customer? He also stated that this is how they earn a living! Not doing anything free!I believe they make up stories when called out and are very deceptive in the profession. I have all emails and recordings to support my suspension. NC transmissions cannot do what they advertise and are in my opinion incompetent and unprofessional!Kevin Cissell

I went to NC Transmission with what I thought was a transmission problem. I talked to Daniel about the problem I was having and expressed the lack of funds that I had. Instead of charging me to do a diagnostic, we went for a drive so that he could identify the problem. He told me the problem I had and didnt try to sell me anything that I didnt need. It was extremely nice to go to a mechanic and not be pressure into some service that I probably dont need. The staff was also very kind and I will be going back with any further vehicle problems I may have.

I had purchased a pre-owned Nissan Altima that immediately started giving me transmission problems. When I called NC Transmission to schedule an appointment, instead of taking the opportunity to make a quick buck, I was advised to call Nissan to see if they would assist with the repairs of the transmission due to Nissan having issues with this transmission in previous Altima models.By taking this advise, Nissan agreed to replace the transmission leaving me to pay only a deductible which was near pennies to the amount it would have cost to replace the transmission!!!I cant remember the name of person I spoke to, however, thank you for your honesty and not taking advantage of the opportunity to make money at any cost. There isnt many people like this in business today that would have done this. I pray that God bless your business 100 fold for your honesty!!!!! Hopefully someone will read this and patronize your business.

Im a bit delayed on posting this review because I wanted to give the second repair some time to confirm it would not fail on me again (explained below). The transmission on my 2001 Honda Civic went out around July of 2013. Daniel was very kind in this frustrating time on day 1. Then I never heard from them again during the repair process. It was several weeks before I would get any return phone calls. I even went down to the garage to get an in-person update because I hadnt heard anything in so long. They dont answer phones. Communication sucks. Finally the repair was done. On day 1 of picking it up, something didnt feel right. I gave it a couple of weeks then I took it in. They had the car for about another week just to test drive it. I was pretty sure it was the transmission still acting up, but Daniel assured me it wasnt. He blamed it on exhaust issues and whatnot, so I took is advice on what maintenance should take place. Finally after about a month or two, the transmission gave out. I had it towed to his shop. He gave me a call later that day and told me it was indeed the transmission and then went on to accuse my wife and I of abusing the car in order to break the transmission and take advantage of him. I was completely dumbfounded. What possible reason could I have for taking advantage of him? I just wanted my car in working order. He told me I shouldve taken it into him a second time for them to look at, but thats beside the point. Eventually after arguing with him for a few minutes he hung up on me. Eventually he said he didnt want to be taken to small claims court over a warranty so he was going to do the transmission rebuild again. Also, I went to a Honda dealership and shared with them everything Daniel had told me that was causing the problem other then his own faulty work that hell never take responsibility for, and Honda told me it was all bogus. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN! Daniel Fenti is a liar.It was by far the worst customer experience of my life. They have no accountability, no communication, no customer service skills, and it seems they may have some iffy mechanics working there. Stay far away from this place if you value any of those things.Daniel is a manipulative bully. Take my word and all of the other 1-2 star reviews words and RUN LIKE HELL! Theyre and evil, selfish business with no actual care about doing the right thing. Theyre more concerned about putting dollars in their pocket than they are with being honest. There are SO many good and honest places out there. Save yourself the headache and frustration. Avoid NC Transmission - yeah, we can try to do that

Well let me start off by saying Im legitimately scared to write a review of this company...especially a bad one. The owner is by far one of the meanest people Ive met. To start off, my clutch was shot in my car, and I wanted everything replaced. I called up to them a few times and got a quote. After getting the same quote 3 times from the shop manager, I agreed and brought my car in. I supplied my own parts, and was going to have them installed for $500. When I got there, I spoke to the shop manager, who was clearly distracted by looking at boots online. I practically begged the manager to write down what I needed done. I told him VERY SPECIFICALLY that my car could not be driven. It was going to have to be pushed into the shop. Despite my better judgement, I left my car. I didnt want one bad apple ruin my opinion of the shop. The next day, I got a call from the shop owner, explaining to me that the manager was out of town. He was a little frustrated at the quote I was given. I explained to him that the manager was working with me and giving me a discount due to my line of work. That seemed to infuriate him, and send him into a detailed attack about how I was trying to steal from his company. After giving me a high ball quote of about $350 more than I agreed on, I told him I couldnt get the work done at that time. I just didnt have the money. The next day I went to pick up my car, and it got even worse. There was only one mechanic working, and nobody else on the property. He handed me my keys, and took me to where my parts were. I found my parts...the parts I spent well over $1500 buying...literally strewn around the whole shop. I gathered them up and went out to my car. As I got in my car to let it warm up, I asked him how hard it was to push my car out of the garage. He then told me that the owner DROVE IT OUT despite the fact that I specifically told them it COULDNT BE DRIVEN.Heres the best part. The best. I got in my car and fired it up. As I went to get out I noticed something funny. I COULDNT GET OUT. Why? THEY SNAPPED MY DOOR HANDLE OFF!!! My guess? Probably the angry, ignorant owner decided to take his rage out on my car. Never going back. You shouldnt either.Whats really nice is that I took my car to Mayhem the next day, and got everything installed for $500 in less than a day. Yep.
