I got a cool tuner from Bob and a sweet Orange 20RT amp from Taylor. These guys are super cool. They are very patient and explain the products to you in detail. This store has a fabulous selection of guitars, mandolins and even a banjo! I had fun exploring here and learning from the employees. This is the hippest music shop in DFW and I will continue visiting whenever I’m in town. Thanks Bob and Taylor. Keep up the good work!

Fresco Music Center is by far one of the most impressive establishments in Frisco, actually, Dallas. The staff there is really helpful, knowledgeable, and above all attentive. And my favorite thing is the fact they are not limited to only carrying Fender, Gibson, Ibanez, Martin and Taylor. The extremely diverse and broad selection of less known and often higher preforming instruments such as Godin, Fret King and many many other great brands is amazing and sure to make any musician’s instrument dreams come true. All in the best music store around and I highly recommend it to anyone.

If the sales people hadnt made underhanded comments about specific guitar brands this would be 4 stars. If I hadnt been accosted for my honest review this, I wouldnt have lowered my review to 1 star. Dont go here. Passive aggressive pretentious attitudes from the staff which is sad because its a nice store otherwise if not lacking some things.

Great store! Great staff! Went in looking for a new guitar, which takes a while.... They were patient, conversational and all around good salesmen. They asked what I was looking for, had me try out several of my picks, and gave me advice to try others. I ended up going with an RS420 in maya gold. Beautiful guitar and the build quality is 2nd to none. All and all a great music stop. Skip the big box stores and keep the shops like this around! If you are in the area or not I would make the trip there.

Awesome shop. I bought a Breedlove guitar there for my dad, who is a beginner, and I am looking for every excuse to go back for another guitar for myself. This place is awesome if youre not a youth minister looking for a Taylor or Martin. Breedlove makes the same quality for a fraction of the price, plus my dog loves it.

This store is great. Its small, and it doesnt carry huge brands, but the selection on everything is solid, from new to used. The big reason to visit this store though is the phenomenal customer service. I had probably the greatest retail experience Ive ever had here. Mike, gave us space to walk around on our own and take in the selection but after a bit came in and started telling us about this used guitar we were looking at. He pulled up a chair and started playing it, showcasing all the styles possible, it was a delightful experience. He was full of so much valuable information and had a extremely enthusiastic and friendly attitude the whole time, it seemed like he genuinely enjoyed what he does which is very nice for a change. We were welcomed with open arms not knowing much of anything and I left the store after about 2 hours pointed in the right direction with a much better idea of what style Id like to get into. If youre into guitars in any way you have to visit this store at least once. Changed how I viewed other guitar stores dramatically, and other retail stores in general. Great place!

I’m blown away! I’ve visited this shop almost once a month since I found it. Every time I stop by, I’m greeted with smiling faces from an extremely knowledgeable staff. Each of them can play, extremely well, I know as I’ve had them demonstrate several different guitars and amps. They also encourage my son when I drag him along. Not pressure to take lessons, but they take the time to engage with him and listen to him. They always leave him feeling more positive about his playing. It’s good to see a small business that still takes the time to spend with each of the customers. Thanks to all of you for keeping it real.

Great store, went in and traded in a cheap electric as well as some accessories and gave me a great deal on all of it and put it towards a nice Yamaha they had in stock. Dont remember the larger gentleman with facial hair who is usually in charge of selling and buying gear but hes the best. Patient people great atmosphere cant wait to go back.

This is one of those great places where musicians hang out, network, and catch up. They are well stocked with what you need, and everyone of all ages and backgrounds seem to be welcomed. Well known repairman and blues musician, Steve Anderson, is there to provide instrument maintenance and he also teaches. Mike and Dave are friendly folks behind the counter. If youre a musician in Frisco (or want to be) this is ground zero.

This is the only music store that I will ever go to for work and odds and ends on my acoustic guitars, for several reasons. I only play acoustic right now, and the guys here are extremely knowledgeable, and will talk guitars with you all day, if you are interested in that sort of thing. It is also a very unintimidating place for a beginner or less experienced guitar player to go, and try out guitars, without feeling like youre being judged for not being an extremely proficient guitarist. They dont look at you like a crappy guitar player (even if you are). They look at you as a person who is interested in what they love, and they are very observant as to what you like and dont. They remember this information, because they actually care, and want to help you. Ive never found another music store that makes me feel so welcome, and thats why I keep coming back. I can only speak for their acoustic section and the staff upstairs, but they are second to none and as laid-back as they come. Steve also does a great job at setting up your guitar exactly how YOU want it. If you are not sure what needs to be done, tell him what you like and dont like, and hell use that information to make it feel like it was built specifically for you. Never a bad experience at this place.

My husband and I enjoyed our experience with the staff/owner. The service is extremely personal and the people were very patent. We looked for a gift for our young son and they did not try to sell us the most expensive instrument but were very frank as it relates to what would be valuable for him. I do not think I have ever written a review, but our experience was outstanding and we would recommend the store to anyone who is interested in purchasing new or quality used instruments.

I enjoy paying a visit to the Frisco Music Center every other Month - Normally I just buy strings - How ever Mike always gives good advice and will share valuable information -- At this store I had a Les Paul upgraded with Seymore Duncan Hot Rod Humbuckers(circuitry was upgraded as well) - That went well - Had to get use to the new sound everything is good nowIn my trek of being a guitar player the most important thing that I have learned is that you can have the best sounding amp and guitar in the world how ever at least 50% of the sound quality relies on your playing skills - Thats all for now - Jam On

I dont know if they can perform music, but these guys are total rip off artists. I went on for a guitar tuner and paid $26 for a timer that was only $6 on Amazon. Additionally, when I tried to initially use it, I had to adjust the negative battery pin because it was bent and wasnt going the side of the button cell battery.

I almost never post reviews but this place just keeps growing on me! I’ve gotten a bass, a beautiful Godin guitar, drum hardware and just all the essentials after an unexpected move from nyc where I had to sell everything over night. Steve did superb work setting up the bass I purchased and putting on flat wound strings. Bob & Mike are super helpful, densely knowledgeable, highly experienced and they’re always looking for new ways to expand the stores palette. Something special you almost never find with music stores, these guys actually listen to your needs and stories rather than just bomboarding you with sales pitches to meet sponsored quotas (aka guitar center). Great place to source equip and or pop in for some nerdage!

The owner of the store is hands on and keeps pricing the same or better than the big chains. Unlike the big chains Dave and his staff are knowledgeable about the equipment from guitars, amplifiers and more. Mike the senior salesman is an accomplished professional guitarist and did take the time to right fit me in a guitar and practice amp. When I didnt like the amp at home they let me exchange it to make sure I was satisfied. Lastly Steve Anderson is on site for lessons and is an inexpensive for guitar builds and repairs. I have purchased an american standard stratocaster, classical acoustic and Orange amplifier to date and will be going there in the future.

Ive brought in several of my guitars to retune, restring, or just play around with up there. Ive really enjoyed both guys just talking shop and gear. I would far rather buy anything I really need from them than anywhere else. Ive found myself browsing equipment online or in a Guitar Center or Ash, then going to Frisco Music Center to talk with the guys about what they think.Thats worth a lot to me. As a mediocre musician, I value their input and advice because they dont mind sitting and talking through with me what Im really looking to get.

A real music shop, real guys, unintimidating, nice people - Steve (resident luthier) has been a friend for a long while, all the guys are nice! Great hand picked selections, knowledgeable and helpful. Dont go anywhere else.(recently added) - I recently purchased a somewhat niche Laney Combo Amp (covid scarce) - the guys helped immensely to secure the amp and bring it in to land during tough times!
