Cant say enough good things about Sal and his team at Fremont Auto Center. In the last 2 months Ive brought in my 2006 Subaru Legacy and both times Ive received great, honest service. Today, I had an issue that turned out to just be my car being low power steering fluid. Sal topped me off with fluid at no charge, and took the time to answer other various questions I had about my vehicle. If youre reading this Sal I really appreciate all the help. Fremont Auto is the only place I trust to take care of my car in the East Bay.

I found Fremont Auto Center on Google with great reviews. I took my car in with a problem with the alternator and a lot of noise speculating it could be an issue with the belts. The previous workshop I got some work done had caused the noise to start but we were not sure what was going on.Fremont Auto Center has great customer service and complete transparency about the timing for diagnosis and repairs.They gave me a list of repairs required on the car and help me decide on the most important repairs.They found an additional problem with the steering housing as the previous workshop had fixed a tubing from the steering wrong which was causing the noise.The car is working in great condition after the repairs and i would definitely go back to them and recommend anyone to go there for their repairs.

I read all of the positive reviews before choosing to take my car to Fremont Auto Center, so I shouldnt be surprised by the great service, but wow what a great place! Before we showed up, Sal called to understand what was going on - he was such a delight! Joey was awesome from the moment we dropped off our car to when we picked it up. He talked us through everything and gave us excellent advice about maintenance going forward. So happy to have found an auto shop we can trust!

Sal, the owner of Fremont Auto Centre is a kind and knowledgeable gentleman. He was clear about his services and expectations from the beginning and unlike several other servicing centers, there was no hidden or surprise cost. Fremont Auto Center is an Awesome business because Sal and his Employees are excellent mechanics they really know what they’re doing. They will do an excellent job on your car for a fair price. And if you don’t know what’s wrong with your car they will find it & fix it! My dad and I have been going there for years so you couldn’t ask for a better place and they work on all kinds of cars so if you have European cars or American cars they will do an awesome job. They’re services are excellent, & great price! With this visit I got my rotors done replace the brakes replaced and everything associated with that area replaced and the car is driving great! In the past my father has had an injury built by Sal and will alignments all kind of things on his Lexus and it always runs like new! Enjoy!

Its been a week now that I have been driving the car after being serviced at Fremont Auto Center. The ride quality is much better than what it was before taking it to the service center. I will have to keep the car in a running condition to make sure that the issues that I brought up with Sal are all resolved.This was my first visit at Fremont Auto Center and I had a great experience. Sal was a perfect gentleman, he accommodated me without going through an appointment and once I brought the car to the service center, he patiently heard all what I had to say about the car that had so many issues. He did an initial thorough inspection and provided me a solid plan of getting my car issues fixed along with the required amounts. I believe he was pretty reasonable and he did a great job indeed. Once the service was completed, he quickly went through all the tasks that were completed on the car and gave me some useful suggestions/tips to handle the car more efficiently. Overall, it was a great experience and I walked out of the service center with a smile on my face!!

Sal seems like a very honest man and his work was done efficiently. He’s not the least expensive around, but I never felt like I was being upsold and my concerns were addressed.My battery was replaced and for a Honda be advised that you need the reset code. If you are not the original owner, you may have to get creative finding that radio reset code or go to a dealer.The other thing I notice is that my car idles a lot louder than it did before. Not sure if that’s a Honda thing or something is wrong. Currently doing more research on it.

Took my car in for a brake pad and brake fluid flush, they were very informative and let me know what I need service with, with my vehicle. They didn’t push me into getting work done at the time and let me know that I can come back if I ever decide to. Went here because my extended warranty company recommended them and set the appointment. They actually got me in two days BEFORE my appointment date.First of all SAL was gracious, informative and didnt treat me like an idiot as most mechanics do when they see your a woman within the first five minutes.Second, they got my car in and up and within five minutes had initially looked at it and that made me feel like they were truly going to figure out what was wrong.I left my car there knowing that it was in good hands.My car was fixed, ALL repairs made and back to me and they actually found a few other repairs needed that I hadnt brought it to them for that were needed (yes I know what you are going to say, they just want more money). However, Ive run a car shop in my career path and its their job to let you know what needs to be done, and find things that can potentially cause you problems down the road. If your Doctor saw that you had a blockage in your heart, and didnt tell you about it now, and you had a heart attack in two weeks, would you go back and blame him? YES, you would. Same with your mechanic. Dont get me started.I will definitely be taking my BMW 328i back to Sal and the shop for all my mechanical needs in the future. Sal is great with cars, and always took care to make sure my car is in good shape. Most importantly, Sal is bar none the most honest mechanic I have ever known, exactly the reverse of most mechanics. Sal was professional and seems honest. I was not sure if I should bring my Porche Macan in at first, but he seems experienced when answering my question. I ended up using him for the whole 20,000 mile services. I would go back again for the 40,000 mile services.

I called to find out what type of work, how much, how long it would take and when he would be able to check a problem I had with my Honda. I was having problems with my car doors, they wouldnt open remotely using my keys. There were also other scenarios when the car doors wouldnt open. It was definitely a safety issue and an annoying problem.The owner, Sal, told me to stop by. If it will turn out to be a really quick fix, he said he will fix it right there. If the problem is bigger, then Id have to make an appointment. I brought the car in. He looked at it for a few minutes. He figured out that it was a very quick fix, so he fixed it. Sal works smart and fixed quickly what was to me a big problem.I highly recommend Fremont Auto Center.

Excellent service. Sal took great care in servicing the AC in my daughters Chevy Cobalt. It turned out to be a simple problem and eventhough he spent time diagnosing the problem, didnt charge anything for it. It is very rare to find an honest automotive repair shop . . . especially one that is busy.

Sal was able to squeeze me in for an oil change without an appointment. Great attention to detail. Will definitely be back to this shop. Update: since my original review Ive taken several vehicles for service including a weekend tow delivery for a dead dead dead vehicle. Sal and his team were able to quickly diagnose and repair, I was without my daily driver for only one day. Very consistent excellent customer service.

I have received nothing but the highest level of service from the Fremont Auto Center. Sal was able to diagnose a problem immediately that the dealer couldnt figure out. I had taken my Toyota Sienna to Fremont Toyota TWICE and they didn’t properly fix/repair/replace my brakes when I asked them to look at them. Brakes can be a life and death situation.Fremont Auto Center not only fixed/replaced them, but also explained very articulately what the problem was. I had been taking my car to Hussain at Fremont Auto Center for long time. Few years back, it was closed down which was disappointing but to my surprise I happened to stop by and found Sal there, running the place again. I chatted with Sal and decided to drop my car for full inspection. I found Sal to be genuine and very helpful who explained the process and things that were needed to be addressed in the car. It was also nice that I recieved a detailed analysis report in my inbox for review. I am glad that this place is opened again and someone like Sal is running it.

Me and my wife were driving back from Santa Cruz to Sacramento when our car hose blew. We were trying to decide what mechanic to take it to since there are so many in that area. My wife and two kids were next door at another shop that was unable to help while I was having the car towed. Sal saw my wife crying and offered her help, he invited us in and said that he would stay late to wait for our car to be towed in. He also agreed to stay and take a look at it. After taking a look at it he was able to fix the problem and send us on our way home. If your looking for an honest mechanic with great knowledge and experience I would say this your guy.
