Found a beautiful used car. Had it since July 9th. Barely drive it because we have other vehicles. First...defect with rear hatch. Second power passenger seat defective. Called to let dealer know. Im disappointed in my experience. I was expecting more accountability and courtesy with our issues. I feel shuffled over to the warranty company when the car isnt even two weeks old. I also did not like the assumption from the sales manager that we had done something to cause these defects. This is my personal experience and I really wish it had been better. I guess my expectations are too high.July 21 - Update to previous post. Received a call from Mr. Constantine. He asked that the car be dropped off so he can address the defects. I really appreciate the time and effort Mr. Constantine took to make me feel better about our concerns. Will update rating when car has full addressed.

We had trouble finding a 2020 or 2021 Kia Niro in Baltimore, but DARCARS was great! They had many different models in stock to see and test drive as compared to other dealerships. We ended up buying one earlier than we anticipated, as they also had better prices than anywhere else in Maryland. We highly recommend Brian and the team there—they are professional, quick to answer questions, and helpful.

Both were extremely professional and courteous to our needs the whole time we were there. If you are going to look at a car try to get in and see these two, you wont be disappointed. If I am being honest, I was not sure about purchasing a Kia. My car was approaching 10 years old so it was time. I planned on test driving four different cars. Once I test drove the Telluride, that was it. I am now a few weeks in and I love it so much. I’m not a car-type of guy, but this car is so wonderful. It drives smooth, plenty of room, handles well…I could go on and on. I would have test driven more cars but the service at DARCARS Kia of Frederick was just too good to pass up. Donovan was the perfect amount of not pushy yet honest about the deals. I will definitely be back at DARCARS Kia of Frederick for my next car. Sorrento, here I come! 😁

Would not recommend. They tried to double charge for the $995 freight fee. Then told me that previous buyers would sue them if they made an exception for me and removed the second freight charge. I walked away and will look for a honest dealer.Edit June 8th, 2021: On June 1st, I responded and wrote an detailed email with my experience to the email provided. And nothing, not any type of response. So much for the lip service on resolving issues, or investigating my feedback.

Recently I purchased a kia soul since my last car died on me. I am a mother of 3 and having a reliable car is important. I have had so much trouble with the car in the last 2 weeks since Ive had it and I feel like nothing is being done to help the situation. I am very disappointed and hope that we can rectify the situation. It has only been 2 weeks and I am already contemplating returning the car since Ive been having so much trouble. So this past week was my second poor experience at Darcars Kia of Frederick. We went in to buy a Kia Forte for my daughter on Saturday. Monday morning my wife took a check in to put down as a deposit on the car so my daughter could come down Tuesday to purchase the car. Mr. Constantine did not want to take a $2,000 check as a deposit. Then he proceeded to tell my wife that the price was not as it was marked on the car and there was now a $2,000 up charge on the car, and that he didnt think my daughter could afford the car anyways. he was arrogant and condescending to my wife, and BTW, who is he to tell us what my daughter can afford. Also, about a year or so ago, I went there to purchase a new K5. while talking to the manager, Mr. Constantine, he literally started an argument with me about what was faster - the 4 cylinder stinger or my BMW. In what world it is ok for someone in the service industry to start an argument with a customer. and Yes, my BMW is faster. I will never set foot in there again, not would I ever recommend Frederick Darcars Kia to anyone!

If it was possible I would give this dealership a negative star review. My family will NEVER set foot on Darcars lot again. The price that is listed on their website is NOT what you will pay. We went over the weekend to purchase a 2021 Kia Forte, according to their website the manufacture sticker price was $19,895 with a $1,000 cash off. When we showed up there was a sticky note beside the manufacture sticker with dealer mark up of an additional $5,000. The General Manager was extremely rude and stated that each dealer can add any additional fee they see fit, and that since there is a car shortage, they have marked the car up $5,000. Bye - we went to Renn Kirby in Gettysburg and bought the same car for what the manufacture sticker actually stated....

I brought my Sorento here in December to the service dept to address a problem. On the highway, the whole car would rattle aggressively, and increased when hitting the breaks. I informed them it only happened at higher speeds, and felt unsafe driving the car. Took it in, they told me it was just worn brake pads and that they replaced them along with rotors. I took the car home, drove it a bit, and the same problem kept happening. They had a tech do a ride along with me so I could point out the issue when it happened (which was the last great bit of customer service I had here). They recommended to bring it back in, check into it further, and go from there. I needed a rental to get back/forth to work while they had my car, so they provided a loaner for me.One caliber was replaced, or so they said. All in all I spent somewhere around $1300 for new pads, rotors, and one front caliber.Fast forward to a month ago, when the same issue started happening again, but the car also started grinding/screeching whenever I touched the brakes. I suspected it could be a bearing, and if that was the issue I did not want to continue driving the car. Called Kia, the receptionist was beyond rude: cutting me off when I tried to explain the problem, telling me they didnt have an opening for another week but I could just leave my car there. When I told her I would need a loaner she told me that they didnt offer that (but.... they did in December?). Since I needed the work completed quickly as it was a safety concern, I decided to take it in to another shop which came highly recommended. The service team at Rice Tire addressed the issue, saying the rotors looked incredibly worn, they should have done both front calibers, and the brake pads were worn down as well. They suggested calling Kia to see if any of the work was under warranty since I JUST paid for all this work to be done, so I called. The woman I spoke to was incredibly rude, again, cutting me off mid-conversation, not allowing me to get a word in to explain what happened, etc. She said I could bring the car in again for an evaluation with them, but I would have to leave it there for a week until they had an opening to take a look at it and they would not offer any type of loaner.I decided to stick with Rice and just pay whatever needed to be done, avoiding prolonging the issue and potentially spending even more money in the process. Rice had my car for a total of 2 hours, had all 4 brake pads and rotors replaced, and I paid only $500 for everything, including an oil change. The car runs beautifully smooth, and I am super happy wth the work. I will not be taking my car back to Kia for any type of service, and am incredibly disappointed that I paid so much for something that had to be re-done by a different shop less than 6 months later. The poor customer service was just the icing on the cake

Saturday we purchased our 2021 Kia from DARCARS Kia of Frederick. At first when I walked in the building, I was expecting to be taken advantage of as in the past at other dealerships. Our experience was totally different and refreshing. With each word that came out of Abe’s mouth along with those that assisted with closing the sale, we were able to breathe. Abe was very informative, responsive and he did all that he possible could to make us feel comfortable to trust that they had our best interest at heart. We were treated with respect coming in and celebrated going out. My conclusion is this is a place with employees of integrity. Only one person would barely talk to us when we came in. Looking for a hybrid- Sorrento or had found out about plug in Niro. She could be bothered to point to the Niro in the showroom. Asked about plug in hybrid-was told they have one and cant sell it. Finally coaxed out that they are waiting for cords. Then told us it was only electric, no gas engine in this hybrid. They really dont seem interested in earning our business. Not one person approached us to ask questions or help in any manner.

Purchased a used vehicle from them in February 2021 and its July 2021...the car no longer works, it doesnt start and I had to buy another car. Buyers be warned not entirely sure their cars are properly inspected or they are just eager to sell and wait for the warranty to run out so its not their problem anymore.

Today was happy day for our family. We got our daughters dream car. It could not happen with out the great customer service of Brian Berkman and his General Manager Constantin Nico. The Frederick location did not have the Kia Forte my daughter wanted but that did not stop Brian. We soon found out that there were only three Kia GT LINE Fortes in the DMV area that fit my daughters profile. Brian went out there and got one for my daughter. Brought my car here for service after recently moving to the area. I was very impressed with the experience. They were able to make repairs, recommended future services, and didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. They were very transparent, and no hidden fees. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and very welcoming. They even offered me a complimentary shuttle service and car wash. Definitely the best dealership service center I’ve encountered. I will be returning for future service needs, and will shop them when I’m ready for my next vehicle.

5 years ago Brian sold me my first car and then I come back and luck of the draw I got him again to purchase a newer car. He and his manager were able to put me in a 2021 Kia Forte! The first car that I picked out had to be inspected after I picked it out on a Saturday evening. On Monday when it was inspected I called the dealer around 3pm because I hadnt heard from them all day to check on the inspection. They informed me that I needed to come in and pick a new car because the one I picked was damaged.When I arrived I saw that there were dents on the car that werent there when I picked the car out. So I had to choose a different car since they didnt have the one I originally picked in my price range. I felt like more could have been done to help with the inconvenience of everything because we already put money down towards the first car and I traded in my old car, so I felt like I had to go through with buying a car from them.Their customer service isnt the best and I ultimately didnt feel taken care of.I wasnt going to leave a review but got an email from Google asking me to leave one, so thats why I posted this.

If I could give them zero stars I would! Talk about Bait and Switch! Went to look at one car which wasn’t available so they showed us a more expensive one because it was a better car for our daughter. Then once we decided to purchase the GM wouldn’t honor the price from the Sales Manager. Plus they wanted us to cover the cost of the inspection which was never done and our sales person completely walked out on us leaving us at the table. I called Kia Consumer Affairs to complain and they contacted the dealership. The Sales Manager called us back and told us that he would see what he could do to help us. Then nothing. I called him back days later and told me he would call me back in 10 minutes and then nothing again. I would never purchase anything from this dealership. So unprofessional. Definitely get your Kia somewhere else because they do not care about their customers at all. This car was supposed to be for our daughter’s birthday. What a complete let down!

I purchased my Kia Soul from them the day Darcars took over Bill Baisey Kia. Everything went smoothly I had financed the vehicle through my own bank. The service department is great never had any issues with service being done there. Unfortunately 6 months ago I was in an accident and the car was totaled I was never offered Gap insurance but I did purchase the warranty they offered with Ally for $2,500. I never received any paperwork from ALLY about the warranty and no one could answer any questions. When I talked to Daniel I filled out paperwork to cancel the warranty after he asked me to come in to fill it out but clearly I was an inconvenience to him and was told to take the paperwork with me and return it. I did this but 5months later have still heard nothing back about the warranty being canceled or the money refunded for it. I’m beginning to believe I paid for absolutely nothing at this point and would NOT recommend them for purchasing a vehicle.Update the GM called me threatening a lawsuit if I didn’t take down my review. I’m now contacting an attorney because he didn’t mention anything about my actual original issue. Don’t worry I saved the voicemail.

I had to trade my car due to a recently diagnosed health problem that required something easier to get in and out of. I dreaded (!) visiting my local dealers because buying a car has always been such an ordeal. I always feel like I need a shower afterward. But, Jackie and Molly made it so pleasant!!! I have been coming to this dealership for years, back when they were known as Bill Baisley KIA. In fact I bought my current car from this dealership. Ive had a hard time finding another one thats like this place. Now that Im back in the area, Ive started coming to the dealership again and thankfully not a lot has changed. The staff is still there, the place is how I remember it. And theyve always given me great service. Ive been recommending this dealership to people for a while and I recently purchased another car there with my fiance. The service guys are good and they follow up with you and let you know important details while youre there. Theres only been one or two times when something I asked for was looked over, but it was nothing critical (windshield washer fluid was topped off when I specifically asked it not to be). The prices are fair, there are coupons available. And they are willing to work with you within reason. Brian is always nice to see, so is Kyle. Unfortunately I dont remember the current managers name but if hes not busy hes willing to chit chat which is awesome. (Im awful with names, sorry!)When you come here and respect the people here you feel like youre welcome. The car selection is also really good and there are some pretty nice used cars too.They do also have good sales in my opinion on cars.When I came back after a few years and saw that a big chain bought them I was a little worried, but I was very pleased to see that it didnt feel like a dealership, it felt like a visit to a friends place.

The experience did not match my expectations. I came in with no expectations either...2 different times came in and 2 different times came out convinced that I should just go with a different brand or at the very least a different dealership.1st time, the sales man told my wife the Sorento did not come in certain color and just dismissed her because she was a smaller younger looking person. So we ended up down the street and bought a Volvo V90.2nd time, my sales person stated that she would be there at certain time (I was looking at the Stinger for myself). I was told that she wasnt there after waiting for 15 minutes. The sales staff werent wearing masks. I just bought my new 2020 Kia Niro from this location. They got me a really great deal that I wouldn’t have gotten at another dealer. On top of the great financing the sale associate who worked with me was super nice and very welcoming. So if you choose this location ask for Chloe, she will make sure you get a car that you love and won’t regret buying. She will show you options that match what you’re looking for and let you browse the lot to see if anything else sparks your attention. That’s what happened to me. I went in their wanting a Kia Soul but drove away with an even better car/deal, their new hybrid, the Niro. I’m so happy with my purchase I can’t thank Chloe and the financing team enough. I went to DARCARS to look at Kia Sorentos. While in the lot Donovan Loudan came out to see if he could help me. I started talking to him and immediately noticed that he was very friendly and easy going. He was not pushy at all like some sales people are. He made me feel comfortable. We went inside and started the paperwork. He explained every step of the process to me and was very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was purchasing. After the purchase was finalized he took me to my new vehicle and showed me all of the features. He asked if I had any questions and told me to call if I thought of anything. I have already texted him 3 or 4 times and he has been very quick to respond to my messages. I highly recommend that you work with Donovan when going to DARCARS Kia of Frederick!

I had such an excellent experience. Brian the sales person was very patient and respectful. He kept in touch until i was able to come in and made sure we felt at home. Constantin and Daniel, the managers are not only great professionals but really friendly. Constantin was extremely knowledgeable and didnt try to sale us unnecessary additional items (which i really appreciate). Daniel treated us like we were old friends. It was such a relaxing and welcoming process. It was easy to see that the team is a family. They all worked together to give us what we needed and wanted. We left very happy customers.

I bought an SUV from this dealership in September and I am still impressed by their high level of customer service and professionalism. I had an appointment to test drive the specific vehicle that I wanted and they had it out front and ready to test drive when I arrived. Brian greeted us as we were walking up to the building and we were able to test drive it right away. He took the time to explain the history of the vehicle and all the features as we were driving. He helped us fill out the paperwork and answered all of our questions. He even called a few weeks later to check on the vehicle and my satisfaction with the purchase. Overall, it was a great experience and I am very satisfied with the vehicle and the customer service!

Everyone at the dealership is nice and helpful. They have the nest customer service and I genuinely enjoyed my car buying experience and regular maintenance appointments. I typically think of car dealerships as a place where they attack you and pressure you into buying. They don’t do this here! I would definitely recommend them to friends and family and will buy from them again.

The WORST place to purchase a car from! All they care about is taking your money. Be careful and know your stuff before you sign anything! They add numbers in, increasing the price- without informing you. They also tell you one thing, then switch up once the deal is ready to be sealed. They have put me in so many situations. Super pushy. And initial price thrown out was way more than their internet price.I had done a lot of research and had narrowed the list of cars I was considering to 4 different vehicles, various makes and models. I was not making a decision until I had test drove all the vehicles I was considering. Despite the fact that this was explained to them, they didnt seem to like that answer and did not seem to want to let us leave. They were very pushy to the point that even if they had a better price I was not buying from them. I went to multiple other dealerships during the process of buying my car, and no one else came anywhere close to being this pushy once I explained how I was making my decision.Also, when I told the salesman what car I was considering, he immediately threw out a price that was $5,000 over their internet price for the same vehicle. This is before I even said what features I wanted, or anything was explained about the vehicle.Suffice it to say, I did not buy my new car from this dealership. This is not a dealership I would even consider in the future when I buy another vehicle.
