Customer service was great especially Greg at the gun counter. He answered all of my questions and got all the paperwork done quickly. He was very nice as well.Location needs to carry items for other sports teams not just local. I am a GA Bulldogs fan. They are currently ranked #1 in the nation and have already cinched their half of the SEC. There was not a single GA item to be had. That is a missed sale.

Always a great selection. I was looking for whiffed balls for baseball practice. The summer recreation section was where I first looked, but prices on the products was much higher than other online options.Next I checked in the actual baseball section and found exactly what I was looking for at the same price as online.Thanks Academy Sports for always having the gear and apparel I need for all my sports and recreation activities.

Tonight I went in to exchange some things for a bigger size I picked up two new items at 14.99 the price should’ve been 29.98 +2.77 tax @ 32.75. Except I paid 34.27 the difference was I returned a pair of shorts that were 4.99. I was trying to explain to the young gentleman that handled my exchange/return but Jessica, another employee jumped in without the slightest clue of what had transpired. It was 8:30 and I had to pick up my MacBook Pro at 8:40. Jessica said it was fine pick it up and she’d be there. When I got back she kept insisting I bought six new items and that I was wrong. I said clearly there’s a disconnect between us and I’d like to talk to the manager. She insisted I was wrong and the manager looked very angry/annoyed to see me after hours. The group of teenage employees said why didn’t you… then stopped as I finished their thought for them “ask me to come back tomorrow?” My thoughts exactly since they shut the registers down and couldn’t do anything anyways! I’m not sure what her train of thought was but she used it to attack me. Saying “I’m going home to my baby I don’t have time for her nonsense”. Well Ms. Jessica I really could’ve waited until the next morning especially because you wouldn’t listen to me at all. It ended with an employee producing $3.75 to get rid of me. It wasn’t the money it’s how the situation was handled. I am a mom of two I’ve spent plenty of nights helping a concerned client way past clock out time. Now granted being a vet tech is a bit different but almost worse when there animals sick and they are stressed. I feel bad for the manager for having to work with such a condescending rude person. FYI the basic math ended up being $1.52 more I was charged had we been able to talk through it I would’ve again not cared it’s just a dollar but it’s how it was handled that left me frustrated by the whole process. The manager explained that returns and exchanges are a nightmare in general. This sounds like corporate needs to make this easier on employees and customers.

Grabbed a small pool and accessories for a great price and had excellent customer service when we had questions.. love all the products this store carries. My daughter enjoyed choosing new tennis shoes and clothes at a very reasonable price as did my husband.

Person at the gun counter brushed me off when I asked to see a handgun that I have been in here looking for all summer. I have spent over $1000 this year at this location for handguns and was going to purchase this $700 handgun today. Bass Pro Shops has them as well. Ill drive to Nashville.

They are a great place to get whatever you need for practically any sport and whatever outdoor adventure you plan to take. They’re great at helping you find whatever it is you may need. They are also one of the few sporting goods stores that are still selling firearms. So if you’re in the market, definitely come check it out.

Even though there is a huge demand for ammunition right now and it is being bought up and horded as soon as it hits the shelves, it does not appear that Academy has raised their prices and tried to price gouge like so many other stores. The clerk told me that they are getting shipments but it is being bought up as soon as it arrives. Hording is shameful! Those of us that like to target shoot for a hobby now cannot due to the hording. I guess they simply store it with all the toilet paper they have horded.Thank you Academy for not trying to price gouge.

Hello friends visitors and neighbors. We all know Academy Sports and for getting supplies for getting some healthy outdoors fun this is a good place to go.Price wise this will not strain your budget. I went for some fishing gear. This Franklin store shelves looked low stocked, but it.turned out it was just not overstocked.Just do not go here for salt water gear. I purchased everything I needed for a day of lite fresh water fishing (except live bait) for under $75. Clean store...I played dumb and the staff was very helpfull. They even suggested local fishing locations .Yes they sell licenses.Give me a like if this helpsDUG

Would not recommend. Service was very poor and they were unwilling to help. My experience at the Mt Juliet location was so much better. Will never return

Got some great deals on Ammo here. They match all bass pro ads so you don’t have to drive to the city. They also give you a larger discount. They are very military friendly and have a large selection of clothing as well. They are much cheaper than the other sporting good store in the area. How to pick up more good items on clearance here in the future.

Was in store today. Went and got in line. The cashier was a nice looking young boy. He smiled and was helpful when we asked questions. In the middle of ringing us out a tall dark hair man ( Stephen, I think) came up and slung a face mask in the cashiers face. He said, Put it on. The cashier looked stunned that he was acting like this in front of customers. Cashier then told the tall skinny guy that they were told they didnt have to wear them and that he couldnt breathe in them. Tall skinny guy made a big scene telling cashier. Put it on or go home! Poor cashier was embarrassed and so were we. I remember seeing other employees with no masks on as well. So whether he should or should not have a mask on is completely irrelevant. The way this man treated another employee was inappropriate and completely uncalled for and this conversation should have taken place in private. I felt very bad for this cashier. I plan to call a Store Manager in the morning, and if he is the store manager, I will then call their headquarters in TX.

They had 9mm ammo when no one else seems to be able to get it. 😁Seriously, Academy has a great selection of everything and prices are usually competitive.

Went in to purchase a pair of hiking boots and noticed when I pulled in that the entire parking lot was full. Went into the store and there were two cashiers and the line was backed up all the way to the rear of the store with over 100 people. It would’ve taken over an hour to check out so I left

Large sporting goods store. Clean and bright. Lots of variety. Surprising number of choices! I was looking for chest waders. They had at least five in stock. Only issue was prices. Seemed too high. Staff member didnt know where the waders were but immediately asked a coworker who did. Thats a plus for the employees.

Wanted to find a tackle box as the one we use is pretty old. They were out of many of them. Only help received was to maybe check online. A tackle box is something you need to see if it is going to work for u. Cant do that online.
