JBM Building Materials Fort Worth, Texas- This store will try their best to make your visit worth it, they have great prices compared to other building supply companies in the area. You can compare but in the end, you will save more here! The business hours are understandable, surplus hours. Call ahead if your looking for something specific, since this is a surplus supply store, they try their best to have what you need for your building projects, you would be surprised what you will find here! I called to see if they carried self tapping screws. The nice lady who answered said they had some, and to come check them out. When I arrived, I was directed to multiple bins and was told the screws ran $2.00 per pound. I threw a handful in the bag they provide and went back to the front to pay. The lady whom I had spoken to on the phone said, This isnt even a pound. Go ahead and just take them. I insisted on giving something for them, and she would not accept.Folks, this is a prime example why we should all support our local businesses. There are minimal chances this would happen at Home Depot or Lowes.Highly recommend based on this exceptional first experience!

Excellent place to shop if youre a contractor and trying to save money! I love the JBM family. They keep fresh shipments coming in weekly.

Called and rushed there last minute with an urgent project. Was told if there are customers sometimes they will still open to finish helping. We rushed there and got there two minutes before closing. Was told to go on back and then waiting a few minutes for the manager to finish up helping someone. Then we told him we needed 14 pcs of sheetrock. He tried to sell us 12 because he could not be bothered to get two more down for us (we also had a list of a few other items we could have made it worth his while). He said they were closed and when my husband asked did they not want our money he got belligerent. As we started to leave and went back through the front part the manager who was still talking smack to my husband stepped around the counter and bowed up to him in a threatening manner. Knowing this was going to go bad I stepped in between and told my husband come on lets just go somewhere else. As we were leaving he was still shouting at us and being belligerent. Told him as he was being rude to us and we were leaving that we drove almost an hour to get there and he told us no we did not. We have spent a lot of money with these people due to their good prices but we will not return because it is not worth being verbally abused and threatened with body language. We went to Home Depot and paid slightly more but got excellent service. We will not return to JBM. Good prices are not worth the abuse and poor customer service does not even begin to describe it.

Not trying to even give a star but in order to post a review I must. I have been going to this place for 3 years and today I was denied service. I dont understand that! The guy that was there..he RAISED the price on me! I was treated very poorly! The man that was working the yard..he quoted 15 on a sheet of panel and then misquoted on some 2x4s that were glued and segmented. That man literally took the lumber from us and refused us service! How rude!! I dont understand why they refused us service just because w wanted the price that THEY quoted. Unfortunately... I can never go there again because of their rudeness and denial of service. HOW RUDE. DONT GO THERE. I would rather pay more than to be treated that way... 😒
