Went in to buy shoes. Brandy was fabulous. Extremely helpful and attentive. They didn’t have my size but I ordered from the website. I will definitely shop there more often.

I was deciding between trail runners, specifically the Altra Lonepeaks vs. Superiors and the lady in footwear (Baylee, I think?) offered excellent advice for both of them. She answered all my questions and helped find the right size for me (ended up with the superiors). Big fan of REI and it’s employees.

Great store. Libby was super helpful in helping me find the right shoes for me. All the staff was friendly and very helpful in answering any questions I had. Ill be returning here for any purchases that I need. Bike shop was also very helpful in answering questions I had and Ill be returning to have my bicycle serviced soon.

In the past I have really liked REI as a company even became a member. It’s nice to actually see gear in person sometimes, you know to actually get your hands on it see if it fits you. Unfortunately they have lost my business for life. I refuse to shop somewhere that have requirements for you to shop that violate personal freedoms. What happened to the customer is always right mindset that drove a better customer experience for our parents and grandparents?

I love REI, but wasnt thrilled about this location. Size wise, its a medium sized single story store, but, has tons of items in it. Pretty large bike area, lots of clothing, boots, shoes, packs. Pretty general to most REI stores. My only issue was I couldnt get any help from the employees which is unlike any REI Ive ever been too before. Just after opening and myself and two other people in the store. No one greeted me or even asked if I needed help.

The staff here is amazing. So attentive, knowledge, and kind. The gear is top notch, you get what you pay for. I am glad I made the trip over to REI to get the much needed gear for this weekend. Thanks yall

FOR MOUNTAIN BIKE BEGINNERS: This spot is where you need to go to for any repairs you can’t do yourself. These guys are very professional as well as knowledgeable with their stuff. Pretty amazing place to take a bike if you need work on.I would suggest getting the membership they have for the 10% off on all repairs. Pretty cheap if you’re feeling lazy and don’t want to do repairs yourself lol overall great place

Texas does not have a mask mandate.This out of state owned corporation is still requiring masks. Hey REI there are better options. You will not be getting any of my money

When they tell you that they want you to be happy with your purchase they are not just saying that. They went out of their way to service my bicycle in an unusual circumstance. They made the bicycle perfect for me and now they have a customer for life. I would and will recommend this bike shop to anyone that needs a new bike or needs to have one serviced. You will not leave disappointed and they will make sure of it!

The staff here is absolutely TOP NOTCH!! Very knowledgeable and helpful. The store has a great selection of everything you need for your adventures. I live closer to the Southlake store but I will always go out of my way to shop at the Fort Worth location because of the employees.

Took my snowboard up to have it hot waxed and edged. They said I didn’t need the edging but I disagreed and said I wanted it anyway. I guess they made an executive decision and did not edge it. My wife picked it up the next day and when I looked at it when I got home there is still rust and a few divots on the edge. I guess I’ll be waiting in line to get it done at the mountain for now on.

I had the best service. Other department stores could learn a thing or two. No one hounded me but someone was around the corner ready to help me. They were all knowledgeable and most of all kind!I will gladly come back! Totally worth the 2.5 hour drive.

First time shopper, and it was a great experience. Andy was very helpful and knowledgeable picking out cots/sleeping bags. Arianna was as well when picking out footwear. Would suggest price comparing some nonessential gear but for items that need to be held in the hand or fitted its hard to beat imo.

The staff are super friendly and willing to help find what youre looking for. If theres something specific youre looking for I highly recommend you call ahead to see if its in stock. Unfortunately everything we wanted to buy was not in stock so weve had to order it online.

My wife and i went in to price gear for hiking. The prices were incredible and service from Michael was excellent... we purchased coats, boots, base layer clothing and some shirts as well. Will definitely go back again.

I was told by several employees that I could return/exchange shoes for ANY reason within a years time. I called and told them the reason I was returning. The female representative at the Ft. Worth location said I could return my shoes for the reason I gave over the phone. I got to the store in Ft. Worth (I live in Mansfield) and told 2 of the employees on the way in why I was exchanging, they sent me to the shoe department. I got to the register and was told I could not return for the reason I gave. Employees really need to learn their exchange policies. Will never return to ANY REI establishment....

The store has outdoor clothes, gear, bikes, etc... My favorite department is: shoes. Running, hiking, sandals. The carry the best selections of quality brands at good prices. That said, I love buying when they have sales. Thats how I ended up with these Chacos a few minutes ago!

First time in the store in a while. Good selection of bicycle accessories. I was surprised and disappointed that they no longer carry Vibram 5 Finger shoes in store. You can only get them online. I need to try some on since my foot is rather hard to fit. Great attitudes and helpfulness from every employee I encountered.

Ive been away for a year and got back to find out the store hours have changed due to the precarious situation we all are faced with. I stopped by the day before but realized the store closes early at 6pm. So I returned the next day. Nevertheless, I had ordered two pairs of running shoes 👟 online but needed to return one pair since it was slightly big. There were more employees than customers inside probably because of the time in the day. The return was a smooth process, the restroom was clean.

Came in to buy a hiking backpack and sandals but none of the employees seemed to be interested in helping.

Every trip here is a good one - staff is knowledgeable and friendly across all departments/sections. Appreciate the hand sanitizer and masks at the entrance.

REI is the place to go for adventure gear. Quality brands. So many helpful, knowledgeable employees at this store who are also caring, friendly and just plain fun to be around. I love that REI is about enjoying and preserving nature not killing it to hang it on a wall. Thank you to each of you who has spent so much time helping me get the perfect set up for backpacking, particularly Mary Hannah Banana, LightWeight aka Meagan and Mr Energy (KC). Thanks to Im a Hiker Heath for all your help with hiking gear and info as well as directing me to Altra Lone Peak and Austin for getting me fitted. These are my favorite shoes now! Thanks also to Ashley, Jon, Tony for all the bike knowledge and Cecily for getting me out for the test ride plus helping me get my first Tilley hat. Thank you Wisconsin for all your help with rain gear and ideas for bike-packing. Every time I leave I feel like Ive had an adventure and leave with so much more knowledge.

As an avid trail runner and backpacker REI is my go-to store for gear, shoes and apparel and I’m never disappointed. Love this location but gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because they seem to be a little understaffed. Not a huge issue but worth mentioning. Still the best place to get what you need.

Great customer service and reasonable prices. Went in with my service dog for a pack vest for him and a new pack for myself. I had help right away as well as being courteous and respectful of my dog even though I didnt have his vest on him at that time. I was in an out with exactly what I needed! I know that not every shopping experience is not up to expectations but this REI has always been helpful and respectful! I hope they keep it up!

Overpriced and Overpriced. I was able to go to Acadamy and obtain comprable items for a 1/4 to have the price. Sorry but I guess this place is for rich people or maybe im just frugal. I give it four stars because the quality of their items was great and the employees super friendly.

It started out well and then went south when a day’s turn around turned into six after they broke a part on my bike and needed to wait on the replacement. I called to check in after the third day and between the two bike techs there, Michael and Bob I believe, we had it back in my truck by day six. My first ride after the silver package and tire replacement required me needing to tighten the rear brakes as they were not stopping the bike. A very dangerous oversight, but luckily I was on my street in front of my home so I returned quickly for the adjustment. You’d think that would be checked out...Customer service was also lacking any tact when I called back the second time on day five to check in once more on my bike, which they referred to as old, not worth the repair, and having “more dents in the rims then an Italian car.” Their words... and it’s important to note that I had my bike serviced at Mellow Johnny’s two years ago with great results and no insults. Classic bikes are like classic cars to some people, and I’m one of them. They tried to make things sound nice by not charging me for the part they broke.After that conversation ended I did receive a call back from Michael (bike tech) who sounded like he wanted to fix the business/customer relationship so I’m going to give them credit there and not give the lowest star. However, in addition to the rear brake being loose I was also out my water bottle cage, which they removed but didn’t return. So, I’ll buy another cage and put this experience behind me. I’ll also refrain from sending a corporate complaint since Michael took some time to call me back and look for solutions to our prior negative conversation. I’ll still shop at REI too, but it’s back to Mellow Johnny’s for my bike.

Enjoyed my trip to this REI location. I went in to purchase some basic camping equipment. The staff was super helpful. It was one of the best experiences I have had with retail staff. I browsed the store first to see what they had. The selection was very nice and the app helped in shopping by letting you quickly find reviews of different items in the store. I was asked many times in a non-threatening way if I was doing okay and if I had questions. I made my way over the the sleeping bags and Jimmy saved the day. I could not find the last of a certain sleeping bag and he climbed high and low looking for it with a smile. He also talked me into becoming a member to save some money on future purchases. He was very nice. There was another person working the floor that talked with us about tents. He made sure we picked out the right model and gave us a ton of suggestions for places to camp and backpack around Texas. Ive never been more happier with a store. REI may seem pricey, but the gear I bought seems like it will last a lifetime and I trust the company and the folks they hired. Come in today and see what I mean. This REI location is stellar.

Great store so many cool things. Only good quality stuff so you dont have to worry if it will last. However you get what you pay for. You can however sometimes find an amazing deal. I got ski pants almost free one time they were so cheap

A very nice atmosphere. The employees are incredibly nice! Everywhere I went I was asked if I needed any assistance. A great place to find hiking and/or camping gear. They have outdoorsy clothing, but I wouldn’t go if you were looking for casual clothing. There is a great amount of space to walk and look for what you need, not crowded at all. I’d definitely recommend going for any outdoor events! 🏕

Outside of a single cashier and a bike repair guy, not sure if any other staff was there. Could have used some floor help but couldnt find any so I went somewhere else.

Love REI, I don’t like this location. I waited in line for 15 minutes and two others were holding the register up. I was next in queue and they didn’t bring up an extra hand to ring people out. I returned all of my items to the shelf.

The level of customer service at REI is the best in retail Ive ever seen. While some of their items seem costly, its all extremely good quality, Ive never had a bad experience in the store, other than them being out of something I needed last minute, but thats what you get for procrastinating. They have tons of camping gear, hiking, cycling, and rafting.

This is definitely one of my favorite REI locations (and yes Ive been to many across the great state of Texas!). The sales associates here are knowledgeable, but what sets them apart is that they are personable as well! Ive been to this store numerous times and the associates will remember what trips Im planning for and ask for pictures of trips Ive recently completed. Ive never received any feeling of being rushed (and I ask a lot of questions) and if the associate Im talking with isnt knowledgeable on the topic theyll bring over someone else.Ive purchased all of my gear for backpacking Europe and New Zealand, MTN biking and Im currently planning for a camping adventure. I never get the feeling that theyre just trying to sell me a top dollar item just because. Ive recommended many of my friends to go to this store, even though they may live in Dallas.Top notch all the way! This store should set the standard for all REIs!! Thank you REI Fort Worth!!

Went in to look at Chaco sandals for men. One guy there. He hovered over me. Took a short bathroom break, came back and there were about 5 people looking at shoes. The rest of the store was quiet. No one came to help the guy and he didnt ask for more help. I waited about 15 minutes and left. This store is smaller than any other REI store I have been in. The people that work here should be more observant.

I love shopping at REI. Always have good quality stuff. I highly recommend becoming a member. The yearly 10% back is worth it. Employees are always very friendly.

What a joke. Not what it used to be. Great place if youre looking for yoga pants, but forget about real outdoor clothing. They dont sell it anymore. Sad.
