Ive used Caliber Auto Care since before the name change from Service First. Ill start by saying they are not the lowest cost option, but are the value leaders when it comes to service. Their Oil Change protocol and communication is the heartbeat of their service and can be very useful in identifying opportunities for maintenance and service when you may not have known.This recent visit was specific to a product they offer for Engine performance restoration during oil changes, and a related fuel system cleaner. Ive used their house brand maintenance fluid almost exclusively for the last 125k miles or so. And my Subaru runs very, very well regardless of mileage.I spoke with Nate on the phone first to ensure I would be able to purchase the product, he says no problem with that, come on by. I stopped in a few minutes later and Keaton (sp?) helped me out with the fluid products themselves. The gentlemen were kind and engaging. Thank you both!Stop in for an oil change, or any other car maintenance/service and experience for yourself.
Thank God this place was literally a quarter of a mile away from where I heard a pop in my tire. I was worried and Julieta was so sweet and nice and reassuring. They took care of my tire so fast, I was in and out within 30 mins. I will definitely recommend this place.
Shaun and his team were amazing and repaired the water pump in our truck within 24 hours when the dealership quoted a time of 4-5 weeks. We needed a follow up part and he went out of the way to get it replaced within a half-day. The facility is immaculate and everyone is so professional. We will definitely be using this location again and I would highly recommend to anyone!
This was my second time visiting; first being a state inspection. This visit I dropped by to see if they were able to reinstall my license plate bracket that had fallen off my Tahoe. Mr. Nathaniel Lewis did an amazing job getting my car in to be looked at, repaired, and returned. We were there for less than 30 minutes which I was SO thankful for as I had a 6 year old and infant with me. We love the location and the people - so nice and helpful! And the oldest kiddo loves the playground. Thank you for helping me out today!!

Using Caliber was a great experience. I will continue to take all my vehicles there for service, our mechanic Daniel Hughes was awesome. Last service done was my brakes and an oil change. They are always professional and get the job done when promised.
The people here are awesome. they have outstanding work and service. the waiting area is very nice and super clean. not like your other mechanical shops. its a pleasure to do business with them. Very honest and explain in detail what they recommend.
Went in about a month ago to get an oil change and state inspection and it was fine... Other than taking a long time to do an oil change, charging premium rates for oil, and forgetting to apply my coupon so I had to walk back in to get a refund of that coupon value. I also had them do a tire rotation which was $20 (rip off) and the reason why Im making a review now is that they never told me that there are two tires with nails in it and theres an alignment issue with one of the tires BALD on the side. At this point Im questioning if they even changed rotated my tires as I ordered and paid for. I would not recommend this place, their cleanliness and nice waiting room doesnt matter if I get a blown out tire on the side of the highway.

Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The mechanics are tremendously knowledgeable and don’t push you to get something you don’t need. I travel from Burleson to this location because of the exemplary service I get every time I go.
We went in there today after our tire was extremely flat and shredded severely! Walked in and immediately got helped! The guys put the spare on for us and it took all of 5-10 minutes even as a walk in with a full lobby! When they told us they were done we asked how much we owe them and they said not to worry about it! HOW COOL! Literally saved our lives today! Thank you so much to the whole team! 👍🏻
The work they do here is great. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. And my kids are a huge fan of the giant playground in the lobby. They also have a Starbucks coffee machine and comfortable seating for me when I go. It definitely takes the drudgery out of car maintenance!
I’m truly amazed. I needed to get my car inspected, and we all know that it’s never fun. When I pulled up I saw they were packed with people coming and going, which made me a bit worried. I came in, was greeted with a kind welcome, and getting checked in was a breeze. Their bathrooms were immaculate, and smelled wonderful. They had a fully stocked Starbucks machine that made drinks like I had just gone into a real Starbucks. They had a 5 shelved fully stocked water fridge, with individual full sized (16.9 oz) bottles. The waiting area had chairs that are so large and comfy I want one for my house. They have 3 TVs, 1 of which was showing a car makeover show, no sound. And to my surprise they also had a small multi-leveled playground. I was quoted 50 minutes to 1 hour, it ended up taking 1 hour and 30 minutes .The inspection was $ 25.50, which I think is reasonable. The staff was great and I plan on coming back for my next car need.
The difference between this shop and other shops is that they care about their customers! They explain the problem very well. I highly recommend going there! James the guy that helped me showed nothing but genuine love
I went to get my airbag light checked on and my A/C. They ran an A/C diagnostic and were able to check my airbag along through the same diagnostic which I’m grateful for because it was all under one charge. However, my A/C is is worse condition than before. It used to blow subtle cold air and now it only blows warm air. Additionally, my A/C is now making an odd noise when turned on. It sounds like they misconnected something. While I only went to get my airbag and A/C checked on - they did provide a full report on other repairs they recommended which is great. However, personally, I would not follow through with those recommendations due to the projected costs. The costs for the issues I originally went for were already greater than what I had anticipated. The prices to get a new airbag clockspring were over $600 with labor costs of over $400. I decided not to get my services here because I know I can find better prices elsewhere.
Awesome company and seriously the best people in the industry. They care about their customers and have a very comfortable environment for waiting. They also have a play place for the kids which is very helpful. This is the only place I ever take my car and I have never had a bad experience.

I have taken my car here multiple times now and I am never disappointed. Their professionalism and quality of service is fantastic. I was walking from my car into the lobby and was almost hit by a car being driven by one of their employees. He backed out a car very suddenly at super high speed to drive it into a spot in the shop, didnt even bother to look for pedestrians. Shame on this guy. Im almost 7 MONTHS PREGNANT - this business narrowly avoided a tragedy. If he had hit me, considering I was walking, especially at the speed he was going, I would have been dead and I dont think my baby would have made it either. I told the guy at the front desk and he told his manager, so they should know how to get into contact with me if they want to discuss it further. But, I think the public should know how reckless their staff is, and it completely negates anything positive about this business.
My son took in his 2007 Mustang to have new spark plugs put in. Less three weeks later he was having the same issue with miss firing so we took it to another mechanic shop. We found out that the spark plugs were not changed after paying a total of $560.27. I have pictures of the spark plugs that were said to have been changed. Two other mechanics said there was no way they could’ve been changed that recently as they were old and extremely dirty. I called Service First and at first they said they couldn’t even find that they had ever serviced the vehicle. When I found the receipt, I called back. Then they claimed that the work was done and that was that. Do not trust them!
These guys were fantastic!! I was in and out within 15 minutes. The place was VERY clean. Smelled fresh, and had a playscape for kids. I will be back for other services too!I really appreciate when auto care places are kind and courteous to women!!!
Shaun Clark was amazing. I bought a car for my sister in law that is having a tough time. It was a gift for her to get her back on her feet. It wouldn’t pass inspection so I took it in. The price to fix everything was high. But after talking to Shaun and telling him the car might only be for her for a year he recommended what needs to be fix to pass inspection. I like that honesty and will continue to do all my car needs here.
Went to get another print out of the safety inspection that I have lost, and the staff member was very friendly and polite and was able to do another safety inspection at their discretion...Thank you for the help and understanding.....I appreciate the service very much...God bless

This is a courteous, professional business. I was looking for a new auto care/repair service. Caliber Auto Care definitely fits my needs. The services are all encompassing including oil changes, tire checks, tune-ups, and state inspections, to major repairs such as auto glass repairs, engine problems, accident damage, etc. I consider the Basswood location to be honest and straight forward.

My Jetta needed an oil change badly. I had my wife take it up there due to I being at work. Brian Daniel took it upon himself to make sure we were provided the highest level of service. Oil change, air filter, fluids topped off and tires rotated. Service was speedy and precise. They didn’t try to sell us everything under the sun like dealerships do. I have used branded dealerships, quick oil change places, and everything in between. Service and respect was the best it’s ever been. Service First has my business from here on out.

I went to Caliber Auto to get state inspection done for my car. They were very professional. I was in and out in 20 minutes! The waiting area is very comfortable with WiFi. I will definitely come back for other car servicing needs nd repairs in the future

Pretty nice place with great prices and service. I got a set of 4 brand name 18 inch SUV tires for about 300 cheaper than Costco. The folks were friendly and Im super happy with the tires but for some reason they didnt put any caps on the tire valves :( thats the only negative thing I have to say.
Never go Back they are so expensive and did wrong recommendation and unhappy services for my car. I was regular costimer from long time but and they recommended to change Break on my car i did next day My car get Gear stuck i leave car there but on last our they called me and said bad news for you we can not fix today we get super bussy come next week..
We have had good experiences previous times that is why I was disappointed at this last experience. We had the battery changed a Few months ago had alternator and the system checked out. The battery gage was running under 1/2 charge so I asked them to check it since they had just changed it a few months back. The gentleman dealing with me began arguing with me until I had to tell him to just do the oil change and forget about checking the battery.It is unfortunate that such a simple request becomes such a problem.Unfortunate to turn many good experiences now into a bad one.Guess time to go somewhere else.I received a call from the general manger yesterday and he was very professional he addressed the situation properly and ensured we would never have an experience like we just had. He definitely warrants proper great service on his part.

Awesome place! Clean and professional and took care of my cars during my state inspection.
I noticed a small issue with something they had worked on about 6 weeks after service. There was a thousand variables that they could have defaulted blame, it very well may have not been on them. I walked in and talked with Brian Daniel and explained the situation I had, I expected resistance. There was none, he saw my point of view on the matter and immediately jumped into a solution. They fixed the problem, the focus wasnt how can I extract more from the customers misfortune but how can I keep this customer happy and coming back. Blown away with my experience. Thank you Brian and team.
Had my annual vehicle inspection done in less than a half hour. Small but nice waiting area. Offered free bottled water and a Starbucks coffee machine. There is a kids section but not sure if it was open? Staff was formal and courteous. You receive a written report along with an email report as well.

We decided try out this location because its close to our home and regular service center was close do to covid 19. We call ahead to get price quotes for service, they told us the one price, we should up to the service center got quoted different price. Went back and forth debating our prices. I was ready to leave but clerk decided to honor price quote over the phone. That whole experience left bad taste. My wife was highly upset because they haggling over oil change price and coolant flush. We probably just stick with firestone.
Their service is spot on and the labor rate is competitive with others in the area. They keep you updated via text messages. They also dont push you saying your vehicle needs this and this and that after every oil change.

I handed the keys off and before I could sit down, my vehicle was pulled into a bay and the inspection was underway. They are so awesome here! I came in for a state inspection and an oil change. They completed both in an hour while I enjoyed coffee and an unexpected nap in the super relaxing lobby. In addition that they are so conveniently located at basswood near blue mound. To be honest you could even drop your car for a service while you grocery shop or run across the street for a bite at the nearby shops. Their prices are reasonable also.

I brought my vehicle to Service First with an unknown issue that was causing the automatic locks to activate when turning left or hitting a bump. I was told that the issue was being caused by the battery, alternator, and battery cables that all needed to be replaced. They quoted me at $1200 to have it fixed.I ended up taking my vehicle to another business and they found that it was actually related to a faulty door handle and quoted me at about $200 to have it fixed. Needless to say, I had them replace the door handle and the problem was solved.I have taken my vehicles to Service First several times for oil changes and minor repairs and always thought that they were either misdiagnosing the problem or adding unnecessary repairs to what actually needed fixing.I will not be taking my vehicles here for anything other than oil changes in the future as they have now confirmed to me that they either dont know what theyre doing or are intentionally misleading customers. Either way, I am not pleased with their business practices.Having said that, the lobby is very clean and welcoming to customers. There is a playground for the kids and coffee and other drinks available along with a nice sitting area with a TV.

First I just want to say wow!!! As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with a warm hello. Their waiting room is REALLY nice. So nice that if I get bored, I might just go hang out just because its a nice place with friendly people. They are also dog friendly and have a little indoor playground so you can bring your kids and they wont get bored. What a great idea!The employees are friendly, informative and prompt! Its a REALLY nice change from other places that I have been to.Jeff was the one helping me and he was really informative and made sure I knew what everything was. He even made sure to check the oil because the oil light was on. Really felt genuine and like they arent trying to nickel and dime you with everything. (Ive found A LOT of shops to do that)If youre looking for a good place to go, THIS IS IT! The customer service is top notch, and they treat you like an old friend!!Brought 2 of our cars here this morning and I wasnt there all day like you would be at other shops.This team seems to have it all!!!Thanks guys, we will be back and will tell everyone to check this location out!
Best shop I have ever been to, they were so helpful from on the phone when I was asking for pricing, to me pulling up to the bay and them greeting me with a smile. The friendliest man gave me my keys when I was done, and instead of giving me the run around after my oil change ( you need this, this and this fixed as well, it would be $300-$400 ) like most times after an oil change, he let me know what I could do and my options, super friendly. I thought he was just an employee, but in fact he introduced himself to me, and Brian was the General Manager. It was nice to see a manager, on the floor, giving great service.WILL BE BACK!!

I waited 3.5 hours elsewhere (which is okay, because that place is great, too and super busy), but Service First was extremely friendly and professional the minute I walked in. They took my car back in a timely fashion, and the service team kept me informed every 20 minute or so what is going on. Furthermore, I received a text with a link to the service report,while I was in lobby. How cool! There were pictures taken of the diagnostics. I felt like I was at a medical office. Very transparent, and fair. They have a kids play area, and a business/office lounge to get work done. *I also went to the Service First on Golden Triangle weeks prior for oil change: same excellent experience!
My car started making a rattling noise and ignored it for a while. But today it would not start. I remembered a friend saying something about Service First so I decided to check it out myself. Come to find out there was a couple minor issue . I was concerned about my car being left at the shop while I was at work. Could these people really be who they claim? Best service, and guests first? The front desk offered a shuttle ride to my house. Not being used to being treated so nicely at shops, I was a bit unnerved. As I got into the shuttle, the Lube Tech B was very friendly and we had great conversation. Come to find out my daughter and her were friends back in high school, small world! She reassured me this may as well be the best place to work at and come into as a guest. Thank you to the Service First team, I will definitely be coming back!!

I rarely write reviews for things - but the service here was just too good not to give them a 5-star review! I had all six of my kids with me and my experience was fabulous! I’m not even exaggerating. Everyone at Service First treated me with patience and cheerfulness. They came into the awesome play area to go over my car with me. They had pictures of problem areas that I could review while keeping an eye on my kids. (And the play area is for kids up to 12yrs old!) I don’t even know how long I was there - it didn’t feel like a long time for sure. And I was offered coffee or water several times. My car was left for me at the front door and someone was even there to open the door for us as we left. Like I said- I had SIX kids with and this was a GREAT experience. They truly lived up to their name.
Randy & Angel were very courteous and professional, service was timely and excellent, facility is very well kept and nice. Cant reccomend enough, will definitely be coming back.They kept me updated in real-time of what was being worked on and provided great recommendations based on my needs without running my wallet, highly appreciated.

The team at Service First is awesome. I had a pulley on a alternator that I needed removed but didnt have the tools for. I asked if they could help me and they totally did. They removed the pulley from the old alternator and put on the new for me in about one minute at no charge. Thank guys you helped me so much.

///UPDATE. Shawn called me and asked me how they can make this right. I really appreciated that they wanted to handle this the right way and told him I’d like them to look at it again because the lights all came back on and cruise control and traction control are not working, which is why I brought it in in the first place. So we dropped it off.They called and said we had another problem. The rack (rack and pinion) is sloppy because the bushings are all rotted out. I came to the shop to see it for myself and sure enough it’s true. Shawn said the bushings aren’t serviceable so we’ll have to replace the whole rack and that’s $900 or so. I can’t remember exactly the amount he said, but he told me the part was several hundred. I looked it up and the bushings are $36 and held in by two bolts. Why aren’t they serviceable? I don’t know.Anyway, I don’t think I’m going back here but I updated my rating because I at least they tried to make it right on the original problem.///I had my truck towed here and Angel handled it and I was very happy. He communicated very well and took care of it quickly.I brought my wife’s Toyota Sienna in when I picked up the truck and they diagnosed a bunch of problems that added up to well over $1000.When I called and told them what I wanted done they agreed and said it would be less than an hour ( not the intake manifold which was the expensive part). That was at 11am. Then they called back and said it’s pointless to do the small repair without doing the big repair (unrelated repairs) so we can pick up the van. They were trying to up sell me. They even argued with me about whether it made sense. Finally they agreed and said it would cost $67. I picked up the van and they charged me $289. The tech was rude when I picked the van up.Oh and when i told them at 11am I needed the car by 4pm they said no problem it’ll take less an hour. I called at 3:45 and Keaton argued with me and asked if his tech should just stop in the middle of the work. I said “no I think if he’s started he probably should finish, but if he hasn’t well just pick it up and bring it in later “.I’ll never come back to this place.Too bad, I thought I found a good mechanic.Update: the tech that was rude told me he didn’t clear the abs and traction control codes because they will come back on as soon as the check engine light does. I told him the check engine light has been on for a couple months and the others weren’t.We drove the car away and the traction control and abs lights came back on less than 5 minutes later, but not the check engine light.That is why I brought the car in, to address the traction control and abs light malfunction.I called and spoke with Angel. He was nice and gave me the name so i can call tomorrow.We’ll see how they handle this. Either overcharging me or misquoting me. Then terrible service.
I asked them to look at one thing, then an hour later they tell me what the problem is and tell me they will be sending pictures via text. They sent me pictures of a bunch of stuff I didnt ask for like the tires and wipers. I call to ask wheres the pic of the problem and they say they didnt take any. Asked me if I could come back to show me! Why didnt they show me the first time! I wont be going back
