If you still remember the old time hardware store with employees who know where everything is, this is the place. All I needed was a thumbscrew for hurricane shutters. (A contractor busted one of ours.) The gentleman at the store helped me find exactly what I needed. Absolutely great service! And this was for a little $2 item.

They have a decent selection of goods, but they really lack in the service departemnt.

Had to go here to get copies of a key! The girl at the front desk was super nice and met two of their beautiful bulldogs! So cute! I was surprised the variety of tools and equipment/supplies they have available! I definitely will consider this place in the future for my supply needs and will share this location with others, as well!

The folks at Southport Hardware are knowledgeable, friendly, and available. They will patiently explain how to do your DIY project and make sure you have the right parts to do the job. You will not believe all the merchandise that can fit in this little store. They have everything the big box stores have and then some. Theyre locally owned and have been in business for years. Give them a shot. Quick in and out unlike the big stores. The locksmith is an added benefit to shopping here.

I love that this store is run by a family that truly cares about their customers. The hardware store bulldog is my favorite tho. He’s become a fixture at the store. I love to go in and see him.

To start off, I support local family owned businesses. The Hardware Store is small, yet has everything you need. Service was very quick and friendly. The locksmith that owns the Hardware Store has come out to my house many times the past few years. He is very personable, efficient, and reliable. All of his work has come out great and I have never had a problem. I recommend this company to all of my friends and family and would absolutely recommend them to you!

I highly recommend Southport Hardware over stores like Ace, and chain hardware stores. They rarely have what I need for my personal boat. Privately local owned hardware stores know exactly what type of items you will need for this area. Different parts of this Country have different needs, especially near the ocean. The chain stores have items too big, or too small, or not at all. Most are basically a glorified department store. Also most of their staff no very little about hardware. A few times I went to Ace, and I told the Manager you never have what I need, I am going to Southport. I locked myself out of my apartment. I called and they gave me Jims # (one of their service members). He arrived in about 20 minutes and had me in my apartment with new keys in no time! Very friendly and honest. Would definitely recommend!!

Super service, I needed a key copy of my BMW motorcycle (I provided the key blanks) and they made the copies in a snap...also have a great stock of nuts and bolts that I needed...plus hardware items available!
