The young man who made keys for me was courteous and professional. He knew exactly what he was doing. In fact he enlightened me to some aspects of key making that I wasnt aware of. As far as service I want to add that Ace hardware is great for personalized service. It seems like theres always somebody there near at hand to help you with anything that you may need. Thats the major difference between them and the Big Box boys.

I have frequented Ace Downtown for many years. I appreciate that they often have staff members visible and ready to help with your shopping or question needs (much better than the big box stores). They carry a broad range of items especially when it comes to fittings, hardware, tubing, etc. I find their prices competitive especially when I can use their customer loyalty discounts that they send out regularly. So glad to have you in downtown Fort Collins.

Ace Hardware stores are known for helpful service and this particular Ace is one of the best Ive ever experienced. They have solved for me more complex and unique hardware issues than I can count. On stuff where they compete with big box stores, this Ace is competitive in price and for me their things are just more reliable. Just as an example, after buying multiple big box hose sprayers which leaked and broke after a season or two, my Ace hose sprayers have now worked for over 6 years with no leaks. Similar with some Christmas lights, and a wheelbarrow.

Everything about this store is amazing. Every time we go in, we are greeted and asked if we need help. This weekend we bought a grill and patio furniture and the young lady that helped us went out of her way to spend time answering questions, giving suggestions, etc. it was all delivered today and the delivery guys called before they came, were so very nice as they had to carry everything through our house to the back deck. All around fabulous experience as usual with Downtown Ace Hardware.

A few employees wore masks, many did not. Asked an unmasked female employee standing 3 ft. from myself if she had been vaxxed and she refused to answer. The management of this store is exceptionally poor. Put a policy in place (no vax, no job) or loose business. Such a simple solution. This store is the poster child of why the pandemic is not going away.

I do believe the downtown Ace Hardware is the best Hardware Store in Fort Collins or Loveland. There always seems to be someone that wants to help you without being pushy about it. Also they have a great kitchen section and it’s possible to find unusual hooks and pulls for cabinets. Sometimes parking can be a challenge because of their location but there is parking in the rear of the building. They have very good coupons sometimes so it does pay to keep an eye out.

Everyone is so friendly, and they have everything you need. I keep breaking the beaker for my french press and they are the only place I can find a replacement!

Wow, the personalized service I received with a recent snowblower I had purchased, in advance of a winter storm, was phenomenal! They even assembled the product and got it up and running for me; they also provided instruction on its features and use which saved time and effort on my part and well-prepared me for the storm to come. I am very grateful to the entire staff who provided excellent, friendly. customer service throughout, and highly recommend this team and store!

I went to Ace hardware for simple things like getting a key made... and since I was there, I shopped for things like shelving and fasteners for different applications. They are always friendly and knowledgeable, and willing to teach. Highly HIGHLY recommended.

One of my favorite ever hardware and variety stores. There is so much to explore in this old town establishment (tip: dont miss the outdoor yard furniture and gear in the basement!), and the kids always love getting their baggie of popcorn when we visit as well. We often bring our well-behaved Great Dane to old town with us, and the few times we have needed to bring him into the store with us, staff has always been very welcoming. Dont miss this throw-back to the good old days of a full hardware and variety store, and DONT miss out on the kitchen section!

Poorly trained staff. Two associates were friendly but they couldn’t answer my question, so they called in an associate named Ricky who was incredibly rude. Either he didn’t know the answer to my question and was trying to save face, or he was terrible at explaining the answer and refused to explain himself. Either way, his manner of treating customers was entirely unacceptable, and this is enough for me to stop going to Ace for good after all of the bad experiences I’ve had here

Not one person asked if I needed or wanted help which is usually unheard of at any ace stores in CO DISSAPOINTED BUT should shop closer to home at the mom and pop stores I guess

Wish it was more stars but it was overstocked on shelves, prices werent easy for me to find.Also, they do not allow anyone wearing oxygen in the store or ANY exemptions to the masks. The current law DOES have exemptions so store policy is discriminatory. Face shields are NOT allowed.???I understand precautions but the law is the law. Store policy could follow suit.Overall it was frustrating, though the discriminatory actions toward others made me decide not to buy what I had.

This Ace has never failed to have what I need - be it kitchen gadgets, painters tape, chair feet, or awesome yard art. They fit an astounding amount of merchandise into a downtown space, and yet it is well organized and doesnt feel crowded. Staff is friendly an helpful, and always seem to know where to find what I am looking for (organized!).This isnt just a hardware store, its a fun place to wander through and shop for deco and other fun things. Dont forget all of the outdoor furniture in the basement level.Theres also off-street parking accessable from Mason.

The store was bigger than I expected but at the same time there was little available solutions to my particular problem. Unluckily for me their expert left 30 minutes ago and they werent sure when his next shift would be.

Much less than pathetic. purchased 2 tubes of construction adhesive, made my way home only to discover that the contents were solid and refused to leave the tube. returned the merchandise only to be informed that paperwork needed to be completed. not one individual in this store had the sense to examine or remove from the shelves the remaining defective material. i left without my money, a replacement or the defective product. never again. you are clueless in all departments. downtown fort collins will be better served when this space becomes a dollar store.i always feel bent over walking out of this store. it is a destination of last resort. im lucky if the wildly overpriced parts fit, dont leak or break. this is a store for senseless people who look for a hot-melt glue gun when the house needs a fixing.

Their return policy is a joke. We had bought a orbital sander for an upcoming job that didnt need a sander after all. It was still in the box unopened and even with the receipt they wouldnt even give us store credit. And this was the very next day after our purchase. They use to have this big poster mounted on the window of the store claiming what a great return policy they had. Money refunded cheerfully. Of course I pointed this out to no avail. But we did notice the poster came down. They do carry alot of items that are hard to find but its usually overpriced. And the clerks have a tendency to hover over you. Just make sure your purchase is what you need because there is no return policy

This morning Brad mixed so much paint for us! Three artist from Fort Collins Mural Project walked in and Brad took on the challenge of close to 20 different colors, handing out advice, and keeping track of our 3 separate orders. He even called ya each individually as our orders cane up which allowed us to not be trapped waiting at the store. Thank you so much for going above and beyond.

This store has always filled my needs! Today I found a great deal on some carbide tipped hole saws.

I went into the Downtown Ace Hardware this past weekend looking for some new patio furniture. I was amazed with the selection and the customer service! The sales person that was helping me showed me one of the newer lines that theyre carrying (Three Birds) and I ended up going go with that. Couldnt be happier with my purchase or my experience there. Would definitely recommend this Ace to anyone looking for a great selection of patio furniture!

The store itself is great. The front desk staff are amazing as well, they have excellent customer service and are very helpful in directing you to the right place or to another team member. However, this is the 2nd time Ive been in where Ive been asked over and over if I need help by an older male floor employee and then steamrolled. I told him my needs and he ignored them, literally handing me the more expensive products. When I told him (again) that I just needed the basics, he gave it to me and walked off without another word. I continued to browse and ran into him again, where he asked me if I needed help again. I said no, Im ok, and he gave me an annoyed look and said all right... really doubtfully. Just because Im a young woman doesnt mean I cant browse a hardware store and find what I need.

This is one of the few stores that I go into even when I dont have a particular purchase in mind. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and if you need to repair a lamp or another household item, they have someone who can do it.

I absolutely love Ace Hardware in general. They don’t have everything (they aren’t competing with Home Depot), but the things they do carry they are absolute experts in. And their employees truly make them exceptional. There are always plenty of people working, and there is always someone available to talk you through a plumbing or electrical repair. Odd as it sounds, I just love their fastener (nuts, bolts, washers, etc) selection. This is an area that can help me save hundreds of dollars by having such a vast selection to solve random car problems without having to replace a dealership part.

Always a good experience at Ace! Had a young man there help me figure out how to do some re wiring to a component on my washing machine which was totally out of his wheelhouse of job duties. Always such nice helpful people and I get my tools I need and problems solved.

I was greeted by a lady with a smile and asked me how I was. I asked about raccoon traps and she helped me choose one and she didnt even hesitate from running for the ladder and getting it off the top shelf!! She was so nice and seemed so happy to help me!! The store is so clean and organized and oh my gosh the have so may things for home repair and decor and protection. I would deffinatly recommend going even if its to just look around you will definitely find something you have to have 😂

This is my favorite hardware shop. Its right in downtown close to a couple ice cream shops and the staff is very helpful. In addition to standard hardware and paint and tools and gardening equipment, theyve got a nice section with fancy tea pots and other household items suitable for gifts.

Walked in like usual, said hi to the manager on duty. I then went and found my items I needed. On the way out of thanked him and the other two managers for the $10.00 gift certificate they had sent me. It was in appreciation of me being a good customer. They have great service. Thats why I shop there.

Its nice Ace has their own parking lot so you dont have to try to find a parking spot on College. Well stocked store and helpful staff, the younger cashiers could be a little friendlier though. Most prices are in line, but some things are quite a bit cheaper at the big stores.
