RIPOFF ALERT!!!!! Had car towed in on Saturday. Told they would be able to fix either Saturday late or Monday. App said ready by 4 PM Monday. I called at 2 PM Monday to check status and work was not even started. To make matters worse, tech was telling me that car did not just need what I knew was wrong but that the axle had seized making the car undrivable (false as it freely rolled coming into shop) and that a broken belt caused the idle arm and pulleys to break and they, along with a new axle, was required, costing mort than $1300 than the original repair needed. I have pictures showing the cars condition before arriving at shop and what I have is not what is now being told to me. I come from a family of mechanics and have worked on cars myself for decades. Just because I take it to the shop does not mean I dont know what is wrong and how to fix. I just dont have the proper tools in the city and my familys shop is over four hours away. These crooks should be in jail!!

Anthony is worst person to serve as the face of the service department. He is condescending and uncaring. I had an appointment for 1:30 today (Monday) and he said he didnt care what the paper said, he would not have my vehicle serviced until Friday. I re-arranged my schedule for this, only to make other arrangements for Friday - O THINK NOT!!!! I remember Pep Boys poor customer service many years ago in Philadelphia and I guess some thing never change - espcially when you hire folls like Anthony to represent uour company. Pep Boys will never see me again.

Came in off the random for an oil change. Used my service warranty so paid no money oit of pocket. I waited about 30 minutes and it took them about 30 to complete the service. All in all, had a great experience. Martin took good care of my baby, even filled my tires with me having to ask because he saw the sensor was on. 💯💯💯

Just terrible! They will tell you something else needs to be replaced! I only wanted to replace break pads then they told me the calipers needed to be replaced after that they called me telling me the master cylinder was broken . I just called a friend and he fixed the breaks in 20 minutes without replacing a single part. Go somewhere else you can’t trust these people.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this Pep boys location. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and personable. They were able to squeeze me in after Id missed my appointment earlier in the day. They were attentive to detail and got me out the way real quick. The service in the back was also really fast and I was notified as soon as my car was ready for pick up. Thank you all for a great job!

Ive been in the store since the Service Manager let me in at 7:30am - store opening. Its currently 8:19 and nobody has opened the retail side to allow any purchases. The head cashier has since arrived, and other service personnel - but apparently only the manager (who Ive learned should have arrived at 7:00 am) can open the registers allowing me to pay for these 3 qts of oil.

They not only empathized with my service needs, they went the extra mile to ensure my vehicle was suitable and safe to drive on the road tonight. These three women went above and beyond what any mechanic, any manager or any owner would do. Avoid at ALL COSTS. I’ve been here twice and both times, I wish I wouldn’t have.The first time I brought my Audi to be serviced, they couldn’t even explain to me what was on my visual inspection so I can comeback to get more work done, then the 2nd time today, I asked for a simple oil change AGAIN for 11a appointment, my discount didn’t go thru for a hour on my part they assisted in getting that taken care of, but then I expect work to begin, no another 30 mins goes by until I’m pulled into bay. they tell me after waiting 2.5 hours, they can’t fix it cause of a tool they don’t have but a mechanic who is on break has it or knows where it is, just overall poor communication. If I been here this long, why not put a rush order on my service, Or bring all hands on deck? #Frustrated

If youre looking for automotive service by the book, this is not the place. The Forestville location has the most inept supervisor/intake gatekeeper. He falsifies mileage records and as unconcerned as can be. This clown added 20k miles on paper when my vehicle was driven two tenths of a mile from the parking lot to the service bay. Brought the 20k mileage discrepancy to the supervisors attention and instead of correcting the receipt the supervisor made the mileage discrepancy 30k. You cant make this stuff up. Either the supervisor just doesnt care or he should figure out how to record mileage in and mileage out. Ill never return to this location under any circumstances

I came here to get two new tires, customer service is great. However, I would hope for more attention to detail as the associate I made the appointment with on Wednesday pulled the wrong size tires for my car, luckily the associate (a different person) I left my car with on Thursday noticed it and corrected it. I left with a more expensive but better tire with a better warranty. Everyone is friendly, but I will suggest doing something with the wait room, it’s disgusting with fruit flies and god knows what else floating and flying around in there. If I could’ve stood outside I would’ve, but it was raining.

Mechanics are good here. Problems are everyone else. The lady that runs the service department knows nothing about vehicles. She thinks any car cant take synthetic oil when it CAN. Its your choice whether you want to pay extra for the convenience of synthetic or not. It will not damage your vehicle. Also the lady in the back where parts is just a lazy worker. Had an attitude because I came in the store to pick up my order. But look at the location. The service you get matches where its at. I wont be back.

Laughing in front of a customer face, that is trying to describe what they need done to their vehicle is very disrespectful. I didn’t get the lady names but one looks like a man and they other one has dreadlocks. Please train your employees to be sensitive to customers who are not familiar with vehicles and patients.

I made a appointment at 8am to get tires put on my vehicle. I got there early 7:30. There were three people before me one without an appointment and one without. When I got to the counter I said I had an Appointment he checked, so I did. So by this time its 8:20 so he said every thing is good so I sat down to wait. I am waiting and waiting then a parent comes in with her 3 ratchet kids so I got up walked outside its now 9:06 the guy said to me I just checked we dont have the tires. I was pissed why did he wait so long to see if he had the tire. Never will go back they suck hard. I would give them NEGATIVE 10 stars if I could. They really need to shutdown and get people who care about their job and others. This location going to find themselves in a big lawsuit.

Worst place ever. Scheduled an appointment for 9am by 5:30 still havent even looked at my car. They never called to tell my whats going on. When I called them all they said was the guy was busy and had not gotten to your car yet......by 6 I went to get my car back......I ask you then what the point in letting people make appointment if the dont keep them. This place is not to be trusted they are unprofessional and just after your money. I would tell all he read this be careful with this place.

I just got off the phone with the woman at the front desk who advised me to “just come in” since they don’t do appointments for rentals. She did not specify a time at all and then when I came in she told me that she meant tomorrow lol Thank you for wasting my time! You should’ve clarified over the phone. No apology or nothing. I was stranded and for the 4th time in 2 months, my fuel pump went out. The mechanic known as Doc worked hard and found the problem that mechanics in 3 different states could not find. I was in such a bad situation, the manager knew that he could charge anything he wanted, because I HAD to report for work the next morning, but he did not overcharge me and in fact did everything he could to bring the bill down. In one of my greatest times of need, your staff was there for me, this disabled vet thanks all of you guys so much.

One of three worse places Ive ever attended to get auto work done made a 8am appointment for brakes and here it is 12:30pm and theyre just taking of the back brakes then come to find out I needed a router and they just told me it could be up to a hour before my rotor is in.... I was pleasantly suprized at this shop to be treated pretty well, and not too have too much foolishness happen while I was there. The repair happened pretty fast, but they never had the part I needed, so I would drive over to the Auto Zone down the street to get it. I think the shop may have made a change in the past few months.

This was the worst experience ever with a repair shop. They did not fix the car, they told me they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. Then when I wanted to pick up the car they refused to give it to me they said they would do more diagnosis. I asked for the car back and the hung up on me, 4 times. I talked to the manager and he was more obnoxious than the clerks. He said no and there is nothing you can do about it, call the cops if you want. Finally they agreed, and I had a tow truck go over to pick it up. They told him that they didnt have the car there and didnt know what car he was talking about. Finally I had to get the police to go with the tow truck driver to get the car.STAY AWAY

Save your money. Lost my Amazon ship to store order. FedEx and retail manager confirmed delivery time, but the retail manager did not check the order upon delivery. What kind of business doesn’t check delivery orders upon arrival? Both Retail managers were rude and unhelpful. Customer service was unhelpful and gave me the run around. Never doing business with them again.

I must say that I was very skeptical about going to Pep Boys today. I even prepared myself for the long wait. But today, that wasnt the case! The service I received from beginning to end was AWESOME! Kevin was very polite and had patience with me and my 50 questions. He made me understand the different parts of the car and how it function. Once we came to an agreement, he quickly called in CJ to take my car to the back to have it serviced. I felt like I was there for 30 mins! In and out service! Good work and I AM SATISFIED!

This have to be the absolute worse pepboys I have ever been too. There is no way this customer service is acceptable at any level. It couldnt be a worse place in a 50 mile radius. I dropped my car off at 12 for brakes and I caught a nail in the tire coming up. I drop the car off at 12pm to come back at 7. No one is at the front desk I couldnt find a single technician all while my car sitting in the parking lot with no air in it!

My son visited this Pepboys on Saturday, November 17, 2018 to obtain some mechanical work/repair to his vehicle. He took his vehicle in at 8:30am in the morning for an alternator replacement. The vehicle was not available for pickup until 6:30pm. My son drove to work with was only about 16 miles from the Pepboys where he received service for his vehicle. When he got off work (12: 30 am November 18, 2018) he drove back home in which he never made it home. His vehicle started to operate the same as when he bought the vehicle to Pepboys for service/repair. He looked under the hood and notice that both his battery cables were loose on their post, both caps (low and high) for the air conditioning was removed. He called for a tow truck. He towed the vehicle to Pepboys, where the repairs were done. He was the second person in line once Pepboys doors opened on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 9:00am. The person in front of him only needed a battery changed. 3:00pm came around and he has not heard back from Pepboys, so called them. He was told that they have not had a chance to look at his vehicle and they may not be able to get to his vehicle until Monday, November 19, 2018. This was because they had other Service Tickets that was before him. (Shouldnt a returned vehicle that just had repairs performed on the vehicle take president over those who came in after him. Or even if they were left over from the prior day, my son has already waited 15 hours to get an alternator replacement. I thought that was very unprofessional, bad busy practice and total absurd. It has now taken 15 hours to replace an alternator in a 2002 Nissan Altima. I went up to the Pepboys, when I arrived my sons car was being test driven by an employee of Pepboys. I walked into the Pepboys Service/Repair side and no one was at the Service Counter. I walked around back and saw 5 mechanics standing around one vehicle with their hands in their pockets. I said, WOW it takes 5 mechanics to work on one car where there is other vehicles that need service work. So I asked where is the Manager? One of the mechanics walked off the other 4 stayed. One of the mechanics told me he didnt know who the manager was (this employee name is Jaheed (spelling could be incorrect). The Caucasian mechanic told me he is over there pointing towards where my sons mother was standing in the parking lot, where the unknown employee was just returning with test driving my sons vehicle. The unknown employee that was test driving my sons vehicle identified himself as being the Manager. I asked him NUMEROUS of times what was his name. He refused to answer me. He told me in his own words and I quote, This is District Heights, MD and I dont feel comfortable with giving you my name, in fear of my life that you might come back and do something to me. I was appalled and shocked out of my mind when he told me that. For him accusing me, a customer of coming back later to do some type of bodily harm to him based on the City and State he works in. So I then asked him will my sons car be fixed today and why is he being told that the car can’t get fixed until Monday, November 18, 2018. He said that it was fixed and then got upset I was questioning him about why my son was told that his car was not going to be looked at, repaired until Monday, November 19, 2018. He went on telling me that he was the only one at the service desk and none of the other mechanics conveyed to him that the car was fixed. A this pint he was yelling and screaming at me as he walked away and at the same time Tiara, who identified herself as the manager on duty. So she gave me this unidentified employees name, MARCUS!. Marcus started to get so irate, acting unprofessional by yelling and screaming at me and my sons mother, to the point he got all the other mechanics riled up and they started yelling and screaming at me and my sons mother. So I become threated by all of them as they were walking towards me and my sons mother. When mentioned to Tiara that, that is very unprofessional and uncalled for. She totaled agreed.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I went there to get new tires. I made an appointment the day before. I get there exactly at the time of my appointment, drop of my car, and take an Uber home, because they said it should take 2 to 3 hours. By the time my Uber dropped me off, I received a call from then telling me they could not work on my car because the technician was not on site. I took another Uber, picked up my car, and they told me to bring my car in first thing the following morning, which I did. They not only keep my car for the entire day, they did not even have the courtesy to call and tell me my car was ready. Less than a week later I had a flat tire. I went back there to replace it, and they told me I had to pay for them to replace the knots. Again they kept my car for an entire day, and called me towards the end of the day to tell me this. Their customer service was terrible. This was my first and last time with pep boys. I spent $700 here for this rubbish. I believe they sold me used tires. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

People complain about long wait times here. Have they ever had car repair done ever?They told me upfront it would be a couple hours before they could get to my car. That was fine-other nearby places couldnt get me in for 2-3 days!Unlike that place with the rude, ubrupt mechanic (FORESTVILLE AUTO SERVICES. Never go there. The nasty non customer oriented woman rudely told me we dont take same day appt. and you will have a few hours wait to be taken. After hearing her speak i understand why she works there. This is my first and last time going to Pep Boys. This store has had my car since 1030 am. My car has yet to be seen. There is one person at the front desk talking about he backed up and he cant stop answering the phones. When they barely answering the phone. They should have told me when I got there that there is only one person who can do the diagnostics and that my car will not be seen today. I could have took my car somewhere else. I did not plan on leaving my car overnight. This is the second Pep Boys today. Im done. Yall need to hire more people and train your staff on communication. Wither less than a week we were back cause of a ticking noise they told us to come back and they would fix it for free . I am writing in regarding services that were supposed to be rendered to my vehicle on 03/08/2016.I took my car into the District Heights, 6333 Marlboro Pike, Forestville, MD 20747 on 03/05/2016 @9:17am because my check engine light was on. I currently own a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. I was told that it would take about 3 hours for the services to be rendered. I called back to the store around 12:00pm to check the status to be informed that my car would need a knock sensor and that would have to be ordered because it was not something that Pep Boys carry in stock. I asked how much the part would be, how soon could be in the store and the total amount for labor. I was then placed on hold for 20minutes. I eventually hung the phone up and walked into the store around 1:30pm.I was informed at that time that it was too late to order the part and have it delivered by Sunday or Monday. That it would be in on Tuesday. I asked if we could go ahead and order it and that I pay for the services. Which was done.I dropped my car off at 7:30am prior to the shop opening and called back around 8:30am to make sure that they were in receipt of my car and where to locate the keys.I called around 1:00pm to check the status and was told that car would be ready between 6:00pm-7:00pm. Which I informed them that that was cutting it close as I was due into work by 7:00pm. The young lady responded “okay.”I arrived to the store to retrieve my car around 6:30pm and was met by a young lady who asked me my name and then proceeded to walk around as if she was looking for something for about 5minutes. I asked her what the issue was with me getting my key and she stated she had to find it. She didn’t know where my key was and walked away.When she returned without the key I stated to her that a lock smith needed to be called and a replacement key made because I needed to leave for work.I was then informed that it would take over an hour for a lock smith to get there. I told them I could call a lock smith via my road assurance and they could be there in 15 minutes. And magically the key appeared from behind the desk. I was handed the key and the clerk walked away.I got into my vehicle only to find the check engine light was still on. I walked backed into the shop and was told by a shop tech that my car was not looked at and no one could say why.I then demanded my money back. The manager on duty told me that I would have to come back the next day. Which I informed him that was unacceptable. That you all were paid way in advance for a service to be done, that was not done and no one had the decency to call me and say anything.After about 30 minutes I was refunded my money.As a previous customer of this Pep Boys I can say that this was by far the worse experience ever. The customer service has never been exceptional but this was ridiculous.I will not be returning.

This experience started off horrible until I ran into srvc manager Markel .. I had an issue with my rims and he helped me out a lot .. he kept me updated everyday on the process .. I was very upset with infinity dealership they shipped me 3 rims to the store when I ordered 4 car was at the shop 2 weeks for infinity to tell me that they couldn’t get the 4th rim ... Markel did research and found 4 rims I stock at the infinity of Annapolis and they delivered same day he went above and beyond for me and my wife and I am glade to have ran into a person like him .. my overall experience turnt out to be ok only because he satisfied me and my problem this store is on the right tract and I will always come to this store and see Markel he is excellent at what he do ... she needs to be accommodated for all his hard workA satisfied customer !!!

COME TO THIS STORE ONLY IF YOU WANT TO WASTE A LOT OF TIME AND LIKE INCOMPETENT PEOPLE1. I arrived a little before 10:00 and the store said the initial test would be completed by 11:00 AM. At 11:30 they had not even started2. After they finally started they said it would be done by 2:30. At 3:00 they had not begun any work on my car.3. Once they finally started at 3:45 (almost 6 hours later) they said the job would be completed in 1 - 2 hours4. At 5:00 the store said they were unable to repair my brakes or rotors.5. During my complete waste of over 7 hours I saw several young children going in and out of the shop area, which I know is a Federal safety violation. Not too mention the number of employees that entered and exited the shop without proper safety eye-care.This store had the worst customer service I have ever had not to mention major safety violations (WHICH I TOOK PICTURES OF WHILE THE EMPLOYEES STOOD AROUND AND WATCHED) all of which I plan to report to numerous consumer and governmental advisory boards.STORE #99 IS TERRIBLE . . .

This place it the worst auto shop ever! On 9/1/16 I took my car because it would not start. My first clue that they had no idea what they were doing should have been when the representative came to check my battery and wasnt really sure how to test it. Another representative came over and stated that if the car still was having trouble come back the next day. Well the car was still not starting so I brought it back. A new representative came and checked the car and told me I needed a new alternator. Now my car is a 2013 so when it said that there was a slight pause because I have had several older cars that I never had to change the alternator in. Both my brother and father questioned it but I needed my car. I ordered the part because they stated it could only be gotten from the dealership and I would have to go get it because they couldnt order it. Because it was a it was a holiday weekend it took a week to come in. The car was starting good the entire time I waited so I shouldve insisted on a battery first but since Im not an expert I went ahead with the what they told me. I brought the part back to the store on 9/10/16 and they installed it. I also asked them to check the battery again. When I came to pick my car up and turned it on the Battery Light came on and I got a message to check the charging system. I was shocked because that light was never on before I gave them the car! I asked about the light and was told that sometimes it comes on because the battery is being charged and it should go off. I drove it around for the day and the light never went off so I took it back the next day. They were busy and couldnt really work on my car so I brought it back that Wednesday 9/13/16. The representative came to check my battery and told me it was dead and I needed a new one. So clearly they did not check my battery after they installed the alternator which was annoying because I couldve had everything changed at the same time. They installed the battery and the light still wouldnt go off. I was told that everything was charging good and they had no idea why the light would not go off. Frustrated I finally took it to the dealership. Imagine my shock when they told me I had a bad alternator. So Pep Boys is telling me that my initial alternator was bad when I never had a Battery light and the new alternator that was put on caused me to have a Battery Light. They also told me that everything was charging fine when clearly it wasnt. I called the store and was told by the retail manager that he couldnt do anything. That I would have to wait until the service manager came back in 2 days or call corporate. This is ridiculous! They have no idea what they are doing and misdiagnosed my car. I really just needed a new battery and these fools took it the next level just to make more money. They also added a service agreement to my bill without my knowledge which increased the price by $30. These people are lazy, unprofessional and some cheats! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!

So Nothing good came from this. I brought my car in to get an alignment and I purchased the alignment where you get free alignments for a year for like $30 more. Win. 2 months later I needed an alignment so I go in about 5pm after work. The tech, wish I remembered his name tried to charge me a prorated fee for the alignment. He tried to lie and say its not free when I KNOW for sure it is so obviously he was trying to pocket the money. Whatever. I will deal with it when I get back. So I leave and come back at 845 and my car hasnt been touched! The guy who tried to jip me said the mechanic who was assigned my car left. So no call in almost 5hrs to let me know this? Fine bad day for Pep Boys. The next week I bring my car in on Monday at 430 to finally get this alignment. I leave and at 830 I still have not received a call about my vehicle. I return and apparently the machine that does the alignments is broken?!?!? So in 4hrs nobody could call and tell me this? Alright well machine issues happen. I drop my car back the next day at the same time. I see the manager tell the mechanic to make sure he gets to my car before he leaves. Since I have learned they dont call I came back to check on my car. I notice a person who came for service AFTER me had her car on the alignment platform. I inquire and the mechanic who was SUPPOSED to perform the service handed it off to another mechanic and nobody go to my car. Instead of we will make sure we get you up next I got we will try to get to it today. If not first thing tomorrow WTF? Like someone can just leave their car there? How would I get home? Customer service as you see was horrible to say the least! Professionalism - 0. I hope the corporate office sends some people to clean this place up or close it down. Its no wonder certain communities get a bad rap. This is a PRIME example! DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I had an appointment yesterday at 1pm but was told it would be a 3 hour wait so I was rescheduled for today at 9 and was told to be here by 8:45 so I can be the first one. I got here at 8:45 and I’m still waiting to get my tires put on. I wasn’t first and they told me they don’t go by appointments but who’s standing at the door first. Why make appointments at all if your not going to honor them. I’m so disgusted right now.
