Under unforeseen circumstances we needed some new appliances for our newly purchased home. Enter salesman Aaron. Within 30 mins of being in that store we were able to feel comfortable buying not just a washer and dryer, but a dishwasher we didn’t intend to buy yet. Aaron knew everything about the appliance section inside in out. Answered any and all questions we threw at him. I looked at my wife and said “man this dude could sell snow to an Eskimo”. All good things must come to an end. After 30+ years of multi-generational business given to this company, we will never return. What was once a family owned, customer oriented and trustworthy business that our family was proud to partner with, is no longer applicable. Although still family owned, the business in our opinion currently operates under a strong immoral ethic of taking advantage of their customers and employees. The needs of the customer with the products they are purchasing is not their priority nor is the hard work of their employees. Our previous purchase experiences were exemplary, however our past few attempts to purchase have lead us to products that do not meet our needs but instead meet a higher price point. Many long term employees that we have previously worked with, have now departed. Top management appears to care only about padding their own pocketbook, unlike previous family owners. If your ambition is to keep your business local, supporting the community and those that work in it, sidestep this business. Your money and loyalty will be genuinely appreciated elsewhere.

Overpriced. Super sales pushy staff. We were there for 15 min and were approached by 4 people. You cant even look or talk things over with out being bothered constantly

We purchased the LG 4x00 washer & dryer set after using our sons set in VA. Excellent knowledgeable salesman(Tony Stephany) helped us select our replacement washer & dryer. Both items were delivered in 1 week. Installer was awesome and explained any issues we asked about and told us to just call if we needed anything. We were impressed with the professional installation, the quality of the metal mesh hoses for the washer and dryer vent connection and with cleanliness after they completed their work. Very much recommend.

Love this place over the big box stores. They will actually work on the price with you so both are getting a great deal. Plus they know you when you walk through the door. Jake, one of the salesmen, is great! Good selection, good prices, friendly staff.

We recently purchased a new smart TV from Silica and talked to Trevor. We had multiple questions on how to hook up our old equipment to the new TV. Trevor made a courtesy call to our home, looked at all the equipment, and provided a wealth of information to us on our system. He truly helped to make the experience much more enjoyable.

As always Silica did an outstanding job in helping us choose a sectional when so few were available. Delivery was awesome (thanks John and Mitchell). We have side-by-side front doors and one of them had a lose part that was causing a little problem when we tried to open the door. John fixed that for us as well as moved my sectional around to get it just right. I live in Oshkosh but Silica is alway my first stop when shopping for furniture and appliances.

Silica staff especially the installation staff lead by Trevor did an excellent job in meeting our needs for quick and efficient TV selections (three TVs with wall mounts), delivery and installation. These units were installed at two of my relatives senior living apartments, The installation was quick and efficient and the training was geared toward seniors. I live in Florida, so could not witness the job completed, so the assurance that this job was being done well was paramount to our peace of mind. Thanks to Trevor, Tom and the whole team at Silica for a job well done. I could only provide a rating of 5 stars, but would have given them 6 stars!

Silica did a fantastic job with our new oven range. The shopping/purchasing experience was great. Joel & Kevin were awesome!The reason for 4 stars has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with them...nope. They were super in customer service, which is so rare nowadays.The 4 stars? I received the review card with website for SILICA but, it would not work, tried 4 times. The website from TIDE for free laundry coupons, nor gift card entry were valid, it was a closed site!Lastly, what manufacturer in this day and age, does not have a fabric softner dispenser....? Maybe with all those factors above ( except Joel & Kevin), SILICA dumped the new, old washer off on me. Im in an apartment with an obvious contract with the management company.The salesperson, was trying to tell me thats AMANA...funny, the old washer was AMANA, with fewer cycles, but a FABRIC SOFTNER dispenser! Dude, just say you dumped an old, new washer off on me!

Bought a new counter depth whirlpool refrigerator freezer from Aaron in August and am very happy with it. Delivery went very well and were finished in one half hour and took our old. Refrigerator out.

Went to Silica in Fond du lac looking for living room set.Hannah was wonderful. She took the time to show us the selection, the sizes, the construction. Very knowledgeable and patient. Helpful with matching colors and fabrics. We took fabric samples home. Came back the next morning to place our order. Hannah was not there but Jasmin helped finish the order. Just as thorough and helpful. Both were a pleasure to work with.

OK, so we woke up the other day to water on the floor and a freezer full of thawed out food. After a bit of discussion, we decided to replace the 15 year old refrigerator. Friday following, we went shopping. The first place we stopped, where we had purchased a freezer recently, gave us nothing but excuses for why they could not get us what we needed. The second place would deliver one, but only to the door, not inside. My wife looked up other options and came up with Silica. We had purchased a mattress and box spring set from them. To get right to the point, we were treated with professionalism and courtesy by Jack . He did everything we asked and rechecked availability several times to help us make a choice. Next, he checked on delivery and we told the fridge would be delivered that day or the next. It ended up being the next day. Again, we were pleasantly greeted by Mark and Kevin. They were very professional as well and did what was required to get the new fridge into our old house, including removing and replacing the doors and drawer front. To top it off, they were very friendly. Kevin had quick humor which made me very comfortable with this process. All in all, an extremely pleasant way to buy a new appliance. Thank you all!

If they didnt know the answer, they said so, found out and got back to me within the hour. The delivery was seamless. The crew knew what they were doing and took incredible care of my home as they moved large appliances into place. We were blown away by the amazing service! My mom is in Hospice Care & her lift chair broke. My sister & I went to a furniture store downtown Fond du lac, the sales person pointed us to the lift chairs and disappeared. We left and headed to Silica. From the moment we walked in the door we received a warm welcome. We were told where the lift chairs were and that some one would be with us in a few minutes. Kathy Voelker was happy to assist us, answered all of our questions and we found a lift chair for our mom. As we were checking out Kathy told us we should expect delivery the next day. However, she was going to check on the delivery schedule and give us a call. We talked about our mom, broken chair and Hospice Care. Less than a half hour later a Silica delivery truck pulled up in front of our mom’s apartment. When the man knocked on the door, we couldn’t believe they were already delivering our mom’s new chair. As I stated earlier, we were blown away by the outstanding in store and delivery service! Our new family go to store, Silica! Thank you very much!

While looking at dishwashers my sales associate was so friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful, showing and explaining the differences between various models of the brand I was interested in. After making my decision, I changed my mind after a few days and decided on a different model. I had no trouble at all and the change was handled quickly and efficiently. My dishwasher was installed by a very professional installer who explained the operation of my new appliance. I was assured that if I had any more questions to call or stop by and I would get the help that I needed. We have bought most all of our appliances throughout the years at Silica and will continue to do so.

I received a call explaining that the one I chose would have taken several weeks to get and they helped me find a similar one that was in stock. The delivery guys were great! I was working from home, and happened to be in a meeting when they got here, but they did everything, even swept behind the old fridge!

My wife and I really like buying from silica, we have purchased several things from them throughout the years and we will always go back as their employees are fabulous to work with and their delivery and installers are second to none.Due to the amount of appliances we purchased a little customer loyalty discount would have been appreciated.We recently purchased a replacement dish washer from them, the sales person thought it might be several days up to a week due to Covid 19 before we could get it delivered but the installers heard ours was out of commission and fit us into their schedule the next day . Tom K and Denny (one of the owners mind you) were cautious when removing and installing the new dish washer. Even though they had a full day not once did I feel they were rushing the install and seen how they paid attention to detail with the removal and the install. As well as going over the appliance. He is well educated in all brands of appliances and gets to know you on a personal basis in order to properly fit your needs. He helped us narrow in on a brand, color and quality of appliances for our newly constructed home. He worked with us via email to purchase a new grill and cover for our deck. Additionally, he went above and beyond to set us up with a repair man for a 6 year stand freezer that had seal issues after moving. I have to say that I was EXTREMELY disappointed in Silica this afternoon(11-11-2020) We went in to look for a stove, refrigerator and freezer. We stood around for a good 20 minutes in the appliances watching them greet other customers and then we moved closer to the furniture area and stood there and had no luck there either . It wasnt until another good 20 + more minutes went by and we started walking out and letting them know they just lost a sale. Then we had a man behind the counter say I can help you now. Yes Sir @ Silica you lost our business and made Rays appliance our new place to do business. Plus we have been buying all of our appliances from you for our adult life and generations before.

There were some furniture items that we were interested in viewing and they did not have them in the store. They said they could show us the furniture pictures on line for us to choose from. Its difficult to choose from by looking at a picture. They should have more in the store to help us make a good choice.

A recent SZ and Wolf appliance delivery and set up was completed in record time by Josh and Ben. These fellas are not only very experienced but have the requisite soft skills to match. They are outstanding reps of Silica.Hope they are handing the furniture delivery as well.
