Better auto parts place around in Boone Cty.

My son stopped in here for some help with replacing his transmission. The older gentleman working was very kind and patient with him. Even though my son ended up not buying anything, he guided him through some steps he would need to take during the repair.

High prices long wait.

Went to return parts that are missing hardware. The first sign of trouble is the moment I walked in I wasnt greeted. There were two counter clerks when I walked in. One darted off and the other didnt say a word to me til a minute later. As I am trying to return parts my farther purchased the clerk accused me of returning used parts. Thats ridiculous. The parts were purchased with missing hardware. It was clear the factory sealed bag was open and re-stapled. After we shared some words he decided he would offer refund but I didnt have my fathers debit card on me.In the end I will never come here again nor buy anything from this company, not even a air freshener. I wont recommend anyone to shop at Smyths automotive. There is a reason why Autozone and Advance Auto parts are doing fine.

Rotors and brakes pad are priced reasonable. Checked with other near by store and discovered rotors and brakes pads was ten to twenty dollars higher.

Very dishonest manager and employee at the florence location. Manager first told me I didnt purchase brakes there and promptly sold me another set. I called back later and another employee verified my purchase and was still under warranty. I stopped by the next day and yet another employee began to tell me I didnt purchase them there. After telling him I already talked with someone and verified purchases and warranty he then proceeded to tell me they couldnt be warranty anyways due to uneven wear. After i disagreed he pretends to call another store to verify warranty and states the other store says they are out of warranty. I left and called several smyth stores with my invoice number and they all told me my warranty was still intact. Employee and manager should have stuck with the uneven wear and not flat lied. Beware if you purchase anything with a warranty!!! I wont be back.
