Customer service not so gracious. Cupcakes are delightful 😋. I got 2 cupcakes that cost $8 bucks. I could have purchased a whole pie from Publix LOL. Pricey but well worth the calories.

Today was our first visit here and we absolutely loved it! I love that there was Christian music playing, and how clean and cute it was in there. There were so many beautiful cupcakes to choose from. My mom and I got the hot fudge sundae cupcakes and they were the best cupcakes we have ever had! We got my husband a lemon drop cupcake and he loved it! Our baby even got raspberry sorbet and was a huge fan, eating the entire cup! The owner was so kind and caring! We will definitely be back! :)

This is the third time I have had cup cakes from here and they have always been amazing. My favorites are the wedding cake and carrot cake. They are moist and flavorful and the frostings are al delish. I highly recommend them.

Giving a 3 star because although the cupcakes are delicious, the frosting to cupcake ratio is off. The cupcakes are super light and airy and then the frosting is thick. I feel like I’m mostly eating frosting when eating these cupcakes.

I work at the Starbucks in the same area and I walk over and get ice cream on payday or if I have extra tips that week. Today I got a pint of chocolate cherry (sooo good!) and I thought I’d be home in about 15 minutes so it wouldn’t melt too much. (Is 93 outside today) my Uber got delayed and my ice cream was liquid by the time I get home (not their fault!) and I was sad because I know re-freezing ice cream isn’t as good. I put it in the freezer anyway and it came out just as creamy and delicious!!! They ladies working there are always so nice to me and they know my favourite is key lime pie. However they rotate their flavour a ton keep variety so no key lime pie this week! I’ll be back!

I love this place!!! The lady who was working there was very sweet! It is super clean and calming. Very up to date and near other great places. The cupcakes look amazing and taste delicious!!! Although they do need a menu that you can see better I still have to say this place is true to its core!:)

I brought my family here who came to visit from out of town. I had 3 kids with me and the place was empty. Ive never been here so we dont know how the ice cream is here. My 1st child asked to try coffee flavor ice cream but he didnt like it. He then asked for a 2nd flavor, at that point the gentleman that was helping proceeded by telling my son that after that 2nd one he needed to decide what he wanted because he couldnt just keep trying them all. I ignored him because who says that to a kid after just the 2nd try? Not only that, it is posted that they offer free samples. Im not expecting to go and try every flavor but after 2 flavors, I may not be ready to pick, especially a child. I said something to the gentleman, not with an attitude but he didnt care. He repeated himself again acting like my child was trying to eat the store of all the ice cream they had. I ended up purchasing ice cream for the 3 kids, but will not come again and wont recommend it for anyone that doesnt know specifically what they want because apparantly 2 flavors is the maximum you can try.

I came to Smallcakes kind of on accident, after getting some sushi next door. The first thing that jumped out at me where the prices: theyre high. However, thats not an issue if the stuff for sale taste good and not myself, nor anyone with me where dissapointed. I had gotten a Smash, which is for lack of a better term like a cake and ice cream combo in a cup. I picked the pink vanilla cupcake, and French vanilla ice cream. My friends also got a smash and we all got an individual cup cake as well. My extra cake was a lemon drop. We where floored by how good the food was. Moist cake, actual texture in the ice cream (its difficult to explain but imagine ice cream but with more cream than ice), and strong bold flavors.The customer service was good, but not overly excited which I think when you see any reviews knocking the customer experience I think this is what they are experiencing. The gentleman and woman behind the counter where helpful but not busting out of their skin to help, and thats okay! I find over eager (think Chick-Fil-A) clerks to be kind of annoying. I dont need a parade every time I walk into a store just a smile.The store was very clean, also. I really dont have anything bad to say, first impressions at least where very good and I really appreciate this little shop.TLDR: Good, although pricy deserts delivered in a clean store with good uncomplicated customer service. 5 stars.

This shop has the most cupcake flavors ever imaginable. They also provide gluten free options which they prepare on certain days. I think its Tuesday. I really enjoyed the regular options. I like the rewards card that they offer. It definitely will keep me coming back. I am a big fan of cupcakes. It really allows you to try many flavor options. Yum! I think its a family run business. A dad, mom and their son. They are all very talented at what they do. Now I have a date with a cupcake!🍴

Place is super cute. Cupcakes look awesome, havent tasted them yet. First time here and it gets a 3 for customer service. I walked in and my daughter said we had never been there before. So instead of explaining the flavors or telling us something about the cupcakes, she just stood there. Then when I started to order she was ever dryer. Hope the cupcakes taste better then the service.

Place looked clean, but the cupcakes are not all that great. Yeah, I see the comments below, but they are not cupcake connessuers. These cupcakes are not all that great for these reasons: 1st. TOO MUCH frosting and NONE had the whipped cream type. 2nd. Because of the too much frosting, you couldnt taste the cake. All you can taste is...frosting. 3rd Too expensive, $3.79 for one, after taxes: $4.00. For that price, they better be fantastic. They werent. 4th. When you bite into them, they do not hold their shape, they fall apart and now you are left with frosting mess all over your hands. The ones that do that are the ones with filling in the middle (as if the enormous too much frosting on top was not enough sugar for your kidneys and liver.), 5th the chocolate cupcake ones taste like they are made from a boxed mix, not homemade. But lets just say for arguments sake they are made from scratch, then what they use is artificial products. I make chocolate pound cake all the time and chocolate cupcakes once in awhile. I use REAL cocoa powder. Real cocoa powder is BROWN not BLACK. These cupcakes are black and the texture is JUST LIKE the boxed mix texture provides. I went here because I typed in best desserts in Fayettevile. Their name popped up plus a few others. Trust me, pictures decieve. Stay home and make your own cupcakes .

Im a huge fan of smallcakes. Ive visited multiple times and have always had great experiences. The cupcakes are always fresh. The selection has plenty of variety to offer something for everyone. (Lemon drop is my favorite!) The owners are really sweet and always seems genuinely appreciative of customers.

I ordered a set of 6 for my grandson in Fayetteville (I live in Texas) via Grunhub and they are AMAZING according to my daughter, son in law and of course, my baby boy! Called the shop because my original order was cancelled by Grubhub and they had my new order done in a few minutes. My daughter said I have to visit when Im in town and I sure will make it a point. We have been here A LOT. Haha. It may be a franchise but the staff is outstanding and make it more like of a hometown experience. The ice cream is especially delicious and creamy with very little air mixed in. We will continue to come here. The cupcakes definitely hit the spot if you are craving sweets and dont want to make an entire batch at home.

They use REAL buttercream and cream cheese frostings, vanilla bean, etc. The frosting is creamy, flavorful and decorative. The cake is flavorful and moist. There is a wide variety of flavors. The atmosphere is colorful, inviting, and happy. Makes you feel warm and cozy. The owner is welcoming and friendly. First time there? Each cupcake is signed showing what is in it and the owner will make suggestions. They even make their own ice cream with familiar and unique flavors! We will definitely be back again and again. Prices are reasonable too.

Hands down, best cupcakes in the area, to include Southern Pines! I know because Ive tried them all lol! Best icing, best cake and they have ice cream! All of the icing flavors are delicious, the cake is moist and flavorful and many have fillings which are fun and ridiculously tasty! The owner is incredibly sweet and they offer a very generous punch card for regulars. Im that person that goes into every cupcake shop they see and this is one of my favorite places ever, both in and out of town!

I normally do not eat sweet things but the cupcakes were amazing. Not too sweet and just the right amount of icing. Plus the fact that they make gluten-free cupcakes is perfect.

Purchased 2 cupcakes at the whopping price of $3.50. A bit pricey, but businesses have to survive, so oh well. Ordered with less icing. The Asian lady up front asked me to taste and let her know how it was. I told her I would once I got to my destination. WELL, so disappointed!!! They taste like same box cakes just different colors. Dry, but firm. Icing not very sweet which was a good thing. I called back to let them know, just blew me off like oh well. Cool, not trying to get a refund, just giving my opinion like you asked. But while talking to the English speaking lady she says “red velvet cake mix”... well well well.. is it box or homemade??? Well I won’t be back and don’t bring me any for free!!

I visited Smallcakes for the first time today and it will definitely not be the last time! The decor and atmosphere was very cute and cheerful and definitely made me feel relaxed. I’d gone in there hoping that today was one of the days they had Wedding Cake cupcakes but unfortunately it wasn’t. I ordered Pink Vanilla (I think that was the name) one was and was not disappointed. The cake was so moist! I was hesitant at first because the top of the cupcake was firm and I thought I was about to get a stale or dense cupcake like I’ve gotten in other bakeries. Nope! It was perfection. Super moist cake and a generous amount of sweet but not overly sweet frosting. I will definitely be coming here again (yay for punch cards!), hopefully next time they’ll have the wedding cake cupcakes too! *fingers crossed!* For the record, I haven’t tried the ice cream yet but while I was there a couple were eating ice cream and couldn’t stop talking about it so it must be pretty good too!

Twice i have visited this establishment and each time the customer service has left much to be desired. Although the ice cream is great, decor super cute and the music awesome I told myself to never go back to Smallcakes bakery again! Because a trip to purchase Ice cream and cupcakes should not end with me questioning what was so wrong with my request for a box to put my cupcake in or a request for a different scoop of ice cream 😒.

Im commenting purely on the taste of the cupcake I ordered. My wife went in and ordered for me. I got the Cookies and Cream Cupcake, and was frankly not impressed.The cupcake was overall good, but the cake itself was just your average Betty Crocker mix taste.I thought the cream on top was pretty good, but a little excessive. I guess it balanced out the mediocre cake taste. Now, I am biased because I dont normally like chocolate cake. But Ive had another cupcake bakeries wow me with their chocolate cake.I look forward to trying more items on the menu, but at $3.50 each... Im not sure that its worth it.

I absolutely loved this place to begin with. Things changed for me after I purchased a small 4 wedding cake on Aug 31, 2018 for my sisters wedding scheduled November 03, 2018. I wanted to check final details so I went into small cakes on Oct 27, 2018. The cake decorator no longer worked in the facility, my money was refunded somehow (which means the kept my card on file), however they never called me to inform me of the situation. I can never take away the product of this place because its exceptional, but the customer service is horrible. I would have even taken cupcakes in place of the cake however the owner was very nonchalant about the situation as I stood almost in tears trying to figure out my next plan of action. For that reason I have to give them 1 star.

Oh goodness yall. We came back so my husband and I could try Smallcames Bakery. We ordered a smallcake smash which is a cupcake with ice cream between it. I ordered the stuff cookie cupcake with vanilla ice cream. Both are made in house and SO DELICIOUS. The cupcakes are so soft, not stale. I definitely could not finish this all. We will be coming back here! Also the staff was so sweet and friendly.

(Update since grand opening)A small bright,fresh,simple,and clean desert boutique shoppe.Sampling a few cupcakes resulted in nice fluffy and moist cakes with delicious frosting tops that could brighten any mood and are perfect for a random treat or planned events small or large.Its location is also great being close to shopping,resturants,bus route,neighborhoods,and schools.So to have an excuse to have your cake and it it too(meaning icecream also served here),try out this location and treat yourself.

I went on 6 Dec and the lady upfront was pretty rude. Ive heard good things about that place but I couldnt deal with the ladies attitude. I asked for a scoop of ice cream and asked for a top. She responded rudely you didnt say it was to go. I didnt say my cupcake was to go but she boxed it up so what is the difference? Either way it goes, cupcake shops are all over fayetteville so I will take my money else where.
