Blue Star was competitive with other local propane carriers for pricing. They coordinated their installation with the electrician and plumber so I could convert from electric to gas for my hot water heater and gas range. The installation was completed over a 2-day period including required inspections. Mike, the regional director for Blue Star, Eugene, made certain the job was completed timely and did much to coordinate the other tradesmen and the city inspector. Great job Mike!

Some of worst customer service Ive ever encountered. Lets see: they never answer the phone, if they do they are from another branch that cant help you, they call updating the payment on your equal bill 3 times saying your good. Then no wait someone else calls says you owe more money. Lame! But hey they gotcha by the pig tails cause whatcha gonna do be cold.

Spoke with 6 propane companies in Albany, Corvallis, Eugene area before finding portable tank inspection/recertification services at Blue Star in Eugene. Of the 3 people I interacted with, each was courteous, kind, quickly attended to my needs and the cost for the service was very reasonable. This level of customer service is extremely rare, but a huge reason why customers remain loyal. These folks do it right.

I filled out a request for new service through the web site and never heard back from anyone, so I called and was told someone would get back to me. No one ever did. I filled out a second request online still never heard from them. My mom is an existing customer so she called for me. Three weeks later I still never received a phone call, or an email. Called Suburban Propane and received excellent service.

Whoever answers their phone is condescending if you arent sure what youre looking for. There are many places in town more willing to help. Id go anywhere else first.

I was entirely ignorant about renewable propane until I spoke with a sales person, Doug Groat, with Blue Star! He was very helpful and informative and I hope Blue Star will be part of my organizations work towards becoming carbon neutral by 2025.

Blue Star Gas service technician, Ewing, was outstanding. He came to my home and figured out how to make my GE Propane range work correctly, I was frustrated with Sears repair, GE repair and no one could figure out what was the problem. Had an emergency with my tank and these guys showed up within an hour and fixed things up. Technician was cool, calm, collected and didnt make me feel like an idiot for knocking the tank off its blocks. Good crew!

My propane tank valve was stuck and Blue Gas fixed it for me for no charge. Customer service was great and fast. Im filling my tank here from now on.

Edited 1/5/18 - While we did have some trouble with them as noted below, they have gone above and beyond to apologize for their mistakes and have insured us it will not happen again.Absolutely the worst. First of all, they wanted to charge 90 bucks to check the lines, the other place in town does that for free. Then, they made an appointment with us to come check our gas line between 8-10am, never showed and when we called turns out they hadnt even told their service guy he was supposed to be here. DONT USE THESE FOLKS.

Bought a new 5 gallon tank from them, Tried to get the tank refilled at other gas station but they were unable to fill it due to a fitting problem.Took it back to Bluestar to get a new tank and they wouldn’t give me a new tank .
