I needed a socket and an extension (makeshift lug wrench) and this was the closest hardware store at the time. It was well worth the side track to visit this store. Tho small, the variety and selection of tools was really quite impressive. A very helpful young man helped me find exactly what I needed in very short order. If Im ever in the area and in need of a hardware store, this is where Im going.

Staff was super helpful and friendly. Also honest and not pushy. Didnt tell me what they thought I needed to hear to make a sale. Prices were much cheaper than expected. They just got a loyal customer in me today!

The Sears Hometown Store in Elk City has a good selection of lawn mowers and a large selection lawn tractors from 30” for a small yard to 54” I found lots of choices.

Bought a Maytag range in Aug 2014. It blew the mother board and oven/cleaning feature dies. Scheduled a warranty repair. Well, the repair guy is out of Amarillo Tx and only shows once a week. So, it was a week before he showed. Another week before he returned with the new board, and its the wrong board. Seems that SEARS, when they input my new range info on their computer, put the info from my OLD range in, and tada...another week...and the REAL part for the RIGHT stove doesnt come in. Another week goes by, and finally the repair guy has the right part, and my oven is fixed.FOUR stinking lousy weeks to have the WONDERFUL Sears company fix my stove.About half way through this prime example of GREAT customer service, I blew my top at the store, because the people at the Elk City store...really dont give a crap about servicing their products or helping the customer after the sale. In response to my complaints about their poor service, one of their better employees stated...Hey, I didnt break your stove. And the owner, she was there, pretty much ignored the problem. And the regional big wig that I called? According to the store owner, he got pissed off and said something along the lines of...owners quote...Dont give my number to these people, Im tired of talking to them.Sears, and especially the Elk City Sears store, is definitely ON my dont ever shop there list. Should have put them on that list LONG before I spent several thousand dollars there over the last few years

My husband and 2 of our children all went along with me to purchase the range we had been eye-balling for a few weeks. It was the 4th of July sale week and not only did we get a better range for about the same amount of money (than the one we had been looking at)...but our son walked out with a mini-fridge/freezer, and we now have a matching refrigerator on layaway. I dont know why anyone would lease, when Sears has Layaway for $.01. Yes, a penny. The employees were helpful, friendly, and made our time there fun. JT was our salesperson and she was Fantastic! Thank you Sears Hometown, my 1st time buying brand new Kitchen appliances and it wasnt a headache! :-)

Horrible service and hateful staff. We walked in and were not greeted by staff. After looking at refrigerators for about 10 min or so we were still never greeted, so I walked up to the only person in the store. She was sitting at a group of computers, with whom I assume were her children, wearing blue jeans and a plain gray T shirt and did not have a name tag. So I asked her if she worked there, as I didnt know for sure since she hadnt acknowledged our existence. Apparently she took offense to this and proceeded to help us as little as possible and answer with short snaps. My spouse finally commented to me on her rudeness after we were heading to the counter to cont with our purchase, despite the lack of sales assistance, and she asked if he had something to say, so I replied that he was just commenting on your rudeness. She proceeded to tell us we can shop elsewhere, which we now are.
