Produces not very fresh, market not very clean. But they do sometimes have good fruits on sales

I went to the market to buy meat. The staff there only willing to help people that speak Vietnamese. I waited so long and they finally decided to help me after they helped all the Vietnamese people even though they came last. Feel like discrimination. Worst staffs ever.

Japanese sweet potatos are low priced. Great deal! And this is the only place where they sell black rice in El Monte that I know of.

Small market, is not crowded, price is good, but butcher staff are so very bad, Those are one old men, short, and one men hair is bit long, wear glasses. I have witnessed many times they bully, raise their voices to customer, although there were not many customers at that time, and customer and polite customers also only ask for the piece of meat they choose but these two man butchers are still annoyed with customers. Even I was bullied by them because I wanted them help me get a smaller piece f meat. I have complained to the manager of market but they are still so bad. I think if the management market do not change the customer service attitude of two these men people the they will lose a lot of customers. Because I saw some peoples ask me: why are they so upset with customers? And then they walk away and dont buy anymore. And me too.

Not enough stuff all so not fresh

A good amount of produce and mixed Asian groceries but deducting 2 stars for a lack of cashiers.

My dad and I have lived in the area for a long time and when we first came here when it opened it was in great condition and was our favorite store. Now it’s just dirty and not very well taken care of. Some produce is old and moldy. Some food products are still in stock past their date. It’s just really sad to see what this place has become.

It was thanksgiving evening when I visited this market and surprisingly it wasnt empty. They are on the smaller side but they got most of the things I need for home cooking and snacks. I will definitely come back.

This place is alright. Purchased frozen steam buns, when I opened the package, there was green mold on the buns!! Gross!! Not buying steamed buns from here. Be careful with parking here, always look over your shoulder.

Felt bad for the owner when I was in the market because most of the fruits were not selling and going bad. The owner must be losing money in this business. Just got home and realize the tofu I bought expired for half month!!!! I should’ve checked the expiration date when I bought it but now I can see this supermarket is not doing well for a reason

I love this store the best fresh seafood

This market is great! You can buy fresh fish and they can clean and fry them for you. While waiting you can go shopping. The vegetables are always fresh and I like the tropical fruit selèctions they have. Its great!!

A sub-par Asian market that has all the essentials I need to not be able to drive all the way to San Gabriel.Coming here is always a great experience but just because this is a review and I do have to be constructive, I do have to give this place a 3 stars. I used to most of the criticism that I am giving this specific market because I grew around these factors. I am just adding this in so that people who are not used to the typical Asian supermarket characteristics know what they are getting exactly into.First, lets start with the condition of the store. Like most Asian supermarkets, walking in, you can sort of perceive the place as old, dirty, and bit cramped. Well get used to it, because most of these places are like that. If its not dirty, old, or cramped, youre either in Taiwan or at a chain supermarket.Next, the service is practically non-existent. The cashiers are rude and unhelpful. The butchers are even worse sometimes. And the stockers and pretty much there to ignore you. But once again, this happens at most supermarkets so get used to it.Next is the CUSTOMERS. If you have not seen Fresh Off the Boat yet, then you do not know what I mean. Everyones heard about the Costco in Garden Grove. But imagine that everyday at peak hours. It is not as bad here since this particular market does not get too crowded but I have had this experience here in there.Other than all the negatives, I still love coming here. This market has all the exotic and high quality produce that I can get at any other market in the SGV but at the convenience but being closer by to my house. The sample lady is the sweetest person alive and practically gave me 3 whole dumplings worth of samples.Honestly, you cannot go wrong with this place. Looking past the negatives, I can see a beautiful market with more character than any other store within the area.

Vegetables often look a little beaten up and old. I go theyre because its the only Asian market in El Monte.

Like all Asian markets, its dirty. The meat and seafood selection has great variety. But they dont always have the freshest produce. Also the pantry selection is limited. The checkout lines when I go are short.

Typical Asian grocery store with all the Asian essentials you could need. Its not the nicest and cleanest store around but when you need something its close by. The meat is okay too, not always the best cuts/quality but sometimes you can be surprised. There are usually weekly sales on certain products which is nice and its usually a quick in and out.

Dirty and stinky. OVERPRICED! I walked through the meat department and it smelled like week old meat. There was mouse traps left out by the ice freezer.theres food past the sale by date in the frozen sections. The produce is always bad. They only have beer at a decent price.

Freezers dont work; ice cream melts, then freezes again, then melts, then freezes, etc. I saw some kind of fluid dripping from a pipe onto their meat. They sell products that are way past their expiration dates, like a year past! They buy lots of distressed items in bulk. Vegetables left rotting on the shelves; like whos going to buy them? Other vegetables you bring home and theyre wilted the next day. Expensive.

The place has rats the store smells really bad specially in the meat department. this store has to be one of the worst stors Ive ever seen in my whole life. Its obvious that the manager is not doing her job. Fire the manager and hire me. Ill do a better job than her

My go-to asian grocery store. Great selection of noodles, starches, rice, cooking wine and sauces.

I actually love this store is got mostly Asian food lots of fresh fish every noodle you can think. Caters especially to Vietnamese food but you can pretty much find anything you need to make anyting asian-inspired

They have a few items you cant find elsewhere. Their cash registers are busy, no restroom for customers. Prices higher than Food 4 Less, Georges Produce and Chinese Mkt on most items.

Not the kindest crowd, but hey I go for the veggies,rice,and noodles,spices, not to make friends. But if your the owner or staff reading this, Hispanics make your business grow, just remember that.

They were nice I left an item that I just paid from the cashier and the cashier even chased us in the parking just to give us the item that we bought and forgot. Mice people .

Nicely lit, wiide variety of authentic chinese products. Large area of products for Chinese new year. Live red tilapia and carp for. Sale. All types off noodles, rice, fresh Vegas and fruits. Large variety of frozen foods as well.

Interesting transgression from a spanish market to an asian market a couple years back. The interior has remained the same and does not look any different than before, but what is different is the items stocked on the shelves. The market is decent with sufficient amount of parking. The meat from the butcher does not look too good and may be frozen. Aisles are unorganized and it can be rather difficult to find something you need. If you look hard enough you can find non-asian products in the midst of everything.

Typical Asian market. Quality is ok, freshness suffers a bit, but if you plan to cook immediately and need to save a couple bucks, hard to beat.
