Had a major issue with a tire on I 70 at 10:30 at night. Another amazing company towed me to their location. there was still someone there and they put the car right into the bay. They did everything in their power to save me some money and get it fixed. Amazing service awesome people.

My water pump went out in the middle of a road trip. Despite being really busy, they were able to find a replacement and get it installed within 2 hours on a Saturday morning! Got us back on the road quickly. Great service!

This place is open later than any tire store I have ever been to! That was really convenient when we got a flat about 50 miles from Effingham, on a friday night. Most tire stores didnt open until Monday, but these guys were not only still open, but managed to get two new tires on my car within about 45 minutes of my being towed there. Our Coach RV was towed .3 mile to their place at midnight on a Saturday night. Paul was on duty when we called them and his help for us was amazing. He told us we could sleep beside his building. On Sunday they had the ignition part and on Monday morning by 8:30 it was fixed good as new! We highly recommend this business!

Our experience here was amazing. Alternator and battery went out 3 hours from home with no rental cars available. These guys were absolutely swamped and still went above and beyond to get the part and repair done for us exceptionally quick and very well!! Price was beyond reasonable and everyone was kind to us! They were open late and had the tires I needed. The price was unbeatable and the service was great. Was on the road late at night on my way through to Arkansas from Ft.Wayne for work had my family with me traveling and this shop saved us a lot of hassle and money. They were polite and professional and got the job done in no time. I would definitely use them again.

Check engine light came on while going cross-country east on I70 about 3:00 PM. Called several auto repair shops in Effingham - all busy but Effingham Tire & Auto said they would make time to do scan but had a back log of 45 repairs and would not have time to fix it. They did the scan and found #2 cylinder was not firing. Paul said probably ignition coil. Dan ordered part and Paul made the time to install it, even in the midst of their heavy back log. Problem solved and back on the road again in about an hour. Charge was what would be for a normal repair. The world could use a lot more people like Dan and Paul.

Gave us prices on two different set of tires they came in on a bid a little less than a local dealership we had the estimate the same day ordered the tires the same day local dealership was not able to order them due to the fact someone was on vacation so we decided to check with Effingham tire sales the tires came in faster than what we were told very pleased with how they ride very very pleased on how fast the job was done no need to go anywhere else to look for tires Effingham tire and auto center is the best!!!

These guys were so kind to my son when his car somehow encountered a semi truck on the highway just before the Effingham exit where this auto center is located. The car was totaled, but my son and his passenger were not injured, thankfully. The car was barely drivable, but my son was able to get it to the auto center, where Steve advised him to contact the insurance company before trying to have them work on the car - which was good advice. Steve allowed my son and his friend to hang around as they waited for my husband to drive 5 1/2 hours to pick them up and bring them home. (They were half-way home from college when the accident happened.) They were also allowed to leave the car there in the parking lot for a few days without charge until the insurance company was able to get it towed. There was more to their kindness than that, but I wont go into the rest of the details. It was a traumatic experience for my son, and Steve and his crew made it much less difficult than it would have been otherwise.When we came back that way a week later after taking our son and his friend back to college (since his car was totaled), on our way home, my husband and I stopped to thank Steve in person. While we were there, we noticed a commendation they had received from the Coast Guard! That was a surprise, considering how far inland Effingham, IL, is, but they had done a quick but solid repair on a Coast Guard vehicle on its way to provide aid to hurricane victims.We live too far from Effingham to make use of this auto centers services, but I would highly recommend them as good, honest people, and there is every indication that they also provide good service.

Kris was a great help after we had a blow out. Even though he was busy with work he did his best to have us back on the road in a timely manner.

Took my car in because it makes a rattling noise when turning right. They told me it needed left front axel shaft and struts and alignment. So I got the work done and paid and was leaving and when I turned to leave the lot it was still making the same noise. Paid $900 and didnt fix the problem. They called me later and said they had to drive 6 miles to hear a noise and that it was my transmission which is a lie. It made noise at every right turn, and transmission wouldnt only make noise when turning right. So I just picked up my car and left. Scammers.👎

A little crazy on a tire repair but I do see their point on which they charge which I was told 30 just for the repair and they where friendly and stuff but I went somewhere else because I forgot my vehicle was still under warranty for my tires

I was on the road coming home from out of town and the front of my pullie to my alternator came off my belt to the alternator split into I heard something fall then my battery light can me on so I drove fort about 2 hours then everything started to shut down I came up of off the very busy highway and made a rite turn my suv cut completely off a guy came by asked me did I need help and helped me then I looked a round me and I seen this business still open on a Sunday after 3:30-4 in the evening my sister drove over there in her vehicle and a man name John came over and got me together I drove to the shop and was greeted wit sure politeness and they called got wat I needs his brother kris went picked up my parts got me together and I couldn’t do nothing but thank them guys they were the best didn’t take long to get me back on the road to get home! I broke down on a cross country trip just outside of Effingham. This place was recommended to me and they gave me A+ service. Most other places close at normal working hours but this garage has someone working until around 11pm. I was towed in there close to 5pm, and got a call around 9 with what the issue was and how much it would be. I elected to come first thing in the morning the next day and it was ready and waiting for me at 7am the next morning. Great service and decent price for an emergency repair.

Steve, the gentleman that assisted me with determining what was causing my BMW to have misfiring issues, and walked me through the repair process, was VERY kind, knowledgeable, and kept me informed step-by-step with the process. They helped put on a new tire and rim quick and efficiently getting my family and I back on the road. Everyone was very friendly and they also allowed our pets to sit and wait with us from the heat since we were 4 hours from home.

These guys are super heros. My wife and I along with our two dogs left our home in Crystal Lake Il. And headed for Destin Fl. Three hours into our trip we stopped for lunch, and needed to tank up the Tahoe. When we pulledout of the station I heard a wierd noise in the front end, we found a truck lube joint and they pointed toward Effingham Tire and auto where Steve and his guys performed magic and had us back on the road in 1 hour and 45 minutes. We were planning to spend the night in Effingham (driving from NH to CO) and arrived about 7PM with a very loud wheel bearing. Effingham Tire & Auto was open until 11PM, so we drove over. Ken was able to confirm the issue that evening and suggested that they could probably fix it in the AM. They called me at 7:30 with an estimate and by 11AM the work was completed. We are completely satisfied.

They were life savers had the tires we needed and were open late. Professional and polite.

After our truck broke down on highway we were towed there. They didnt even touch it till after 5 pm so ended up having to pay for another night in hotel. They charged us 105.00 for a used tire that they didnt put on and gave us our old tire back. They never did an alignment.

I had a flat tire on a drive across country, these guys saved me! My tire was fixed so quickly I cancelled the hotel reservation I booked at 5:30p in Effingham and made it to St Louis for the night. Everything said and done was $25, less than two hours wait with no appointment, and accommodating to my dog!

Great service, no nonsense, did exactly the service I asked. They did a standard look over the vehicle and let me know some maintenance things that will be coming up but they didnt try and sell me anything or push anything on me. Will go again.

Called to quote prices of tires and the person I talked to was very rude and dismissive. I ended up going and buying a tire and it took them two hours to mount and balance the tire. Called a second time months later for help with a flat and again they were rude and hung up on me. I took my business to Wabash who were professional and was able to mount and balance my tire in a timely manner.

Effignham sounds like profanity but was a town in the right place. We had to make a trip across country and on our way back home every light on the dashboard came on. We searched quick for an auto repair shop and found this one. They were able to get us in and fix our car. We worked with a gentleman name Steve who was excellent very friendly and honest! Thank you guys for getting us in and getting the work done so quickly!

We had a great experience with Effingham Tire & Auto. Our tired popped on the highway about an hour away, in the middle of a very long road trip, with two little kids on a Sunday in the middle of the summer. They were the only place open that day that we could find, and I had called ahead to make sure they had the tire we needed. Bret was incredibly helpful, and understanding our rush to get in out. They took care of us right away, and were very compassionate, nice, and professional. If were in the area again, I will most definitely go back, and recommend it to everyone we know! Thank you Fellas!!! Got me in to do a quick safety check of my car. My family matters to me so much, with my 2 daughters and a friend of mine in the car. Had to at least check it out when it started pulling to the right. With the weather and wind and 250 miles left to go wanted to know if were going to make it. They got us in, got us on a lift, found no real threat other then a couple lbs of missing air. Still with a full bay of vehicles, Thank Yall I really appreciate it.

The brakes went out on my motorhome and these guys saved my bacon. Just driving through on a Sunday and had a wheel bearing lock up on my trailer, it was like I was towing a campfire. A State Trooper (5 stars as well) pointed me to this place and followed me despite the smoke screen I was leaving. Great service, they got on it Monday morning and Im ready to go Monday evening. New spindle welded on, bearing, drum and brakes for half of what I was expecting. Seriously impressed with these guys and their effort to get me on my way. Coming to Effingham for the Mid America Corvette Funfest and we hit a tire in the road some 250 miles from their shop. When I arrived to have the front end re-aligned, my Corvette was too low to get on their lift. They went above and beyond to help, even by taking ramps from a trailer to get my car serviced. We had bought a camper we were pulling it from Missouri to Pennsylvania. We had it checked out before our long trip and were told the tires were safe and good to travel. Only 3 hours into our trip in St. Louis our tires started to go flat. We stopped at two places to get tires, but they had no more than one tire available. Finally in Effingham IL I called this company, as we were not even that far into our journey and we couldnt risk being stuck on the side of the road. The staff was amazing from the gentleman who answered the phone to the gentleman who did the 3 remaining tires on our camper, taking one tire off at a time to do them. They were all dry rotted and we never would have made the journey home, but thanks to them we did make it home safely. We did not have to wait long, thank you so much for your caring and compassionate service. We will forever be grateful.

Watch out on the quotes, especially if you are from out of town. We were given a labor quote in person after they knew the issue and they charged us higher after they were done. When I addressed it nobody knew anything about it.

I was on my way driving to Vegas with my children and stopped few exits back for help with a tire. This man would do nothing but diagnose the problem as a wheel bearing . No hotels, 6:05p closed at 6!! We tried getting back on the freeway but the wheel wobbled so bad couldnt make it off the ramp. Our tow man recommended Effingham Tire. Saved our lives and trip. Do not understand what happened to Mike but our experience there is always exceptional. They always pick up and deliver our vehicle and also find the problem. They are not like other service shops that find a multitude of problems that are all resonating from one big problem and charge you a large amount to fix all of them and with their marked up parts. Effingham Auto Center tries to do the right thing and fix what needs the fixing and will even show you the part that was bad and why it went bad or why you were hearing the noise you were. Best in Effingham by far and best I know in a 5 county radius.
