This book store has been around forever it seems. I used to come in a buy comics all the time. I stopped by the other day and it was just like I remembered. Great place and that lovely book smell. Hope this store stays going for another 20 years.

Poor Service. I bought a book on 31 October and the order was confirmed. Later that day, I received an e mail confirming that this book had indeed been Shipped to me via Alibris. I was very happy. But ! Today, 3 November, I have received an e mail, The Seller, Archives Books Inc, has CANCELLED my order, because the book is no longer in stock. Absolute rubbish service. I have instigated an official complaint with Alibris about this Seller. I guess that the store is either advertising books it has already sold, Or that this store has sold this item for a higher price on another website, Or that this store did not want the inconvenience of having to ship this item internationally to me. I do not recommend Archives Book Inc Oklahoma. Poor Service. My Bank shows that they took payment, which is illegal, if they did not have the actual item to sell. I have not been refunded yet. I require compensation for my inconvenience.

Good place to find rare books and they will work with you to order any books that are not in stock.

Will not be going to another used book store EVER. This place is wonderful with their resale prices. Just left half price book store and I could NOT believe the prices they had their books. $9 for a book I wanted there and $3 at this store. Amazing. Great people too.

Ive been a patron of Archives for years and have yet to be disappointed. Ive found everything from 1883 readers to RA Heinlein classics. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. If youre looking for a whole series, they can track it down for a fair price.I guess could find some of the same things from Amazon, EBay, or 1/2 price books... But I wouldnt be remembered by what I bought last time, and theres no replacing the smell of old knowledge or the feeling that you get when youre on a treasure hunt.Archives delivers the kind of buying experience that you cant replicate with clicks or corporate backing. If you are a reader, they are the only game in town worth the drive.

The owner is the rudest man I have ever dealt with. He told me several of the books I was selling to him werent worth much so he paid me very little yet I found out later they were worth several hundred dollars. When I confronted him, he told me to leave and that I wasnt welcome back in his store.

This place has a crazy amount of old and out of print books. Its disorganized and chaotic and I love it! Its not your typical book store but its pretty great.

I love this store. You can quickly find a book you need, because there are signs and things are organized. If you have time, you can find all kinds of treasures you didnt know you needed. The people who work there are very helpful and knowledgeable.

From the outside it looked like more of a textbook store, but hearing it was actually a used bookstore I decided to check it out.organized kind of haphazardly, with no clear pricing scheme or labels. comics were shoved loosely and unbagged into boxes. seemed like the store might also serve as storage for an owners unused furniture.

They have anything you could think of. It is a bit like a treasure hunt, but if you like old books at a good price they have them. I really thought the prices where much better then the chain used books stores and they have much more interesting books.

I discovered the Archives Book store recently and found just what I had been looking for. The next time I will go when I have more time so I can look through the shelves more carefully. Im sure there are treasures I left behind. It is well worth the drive from Oklahoma City. I would gladly spend an afternoon browsing and plan to do just that very soon.

This bookstore has a very eclectic selection of books; no matter the section or selection you wish to add to your collection or to just plain read, this is the store for you. An unbelievable amount of rare antique and newer books are available, and the owner is extremely nice. He truly cares about his customers and is willing to help in every way possible. I have bought a great deal of books to add to my history archives, and this is a must go to place for whatever you need or want to have. If 10 stars were an option Id give it an 11, but since 5 is the max Id give it a 6. Best bookstore in all of OKC and Edmond! Go check it out; you wont be disappointed!!

Family owned means a lot in the marketplace these days. this family lives and breaths books and knows more than any large retailer. I overheard a customer say Half Priced Books sent him there because they didnt have the books he wanted! great books, great prices, great bookstore. love love love!!

Ive been visiting this bookstore since high school. Im convinced theyve a copy of what Im looking for- whether it is subterranean water storage construction techniques, a dictionary of terms commonly used during the Jacobite rebellion, a nursery book illustrated by Arthur Rackham, a cookbook that focuses on using native yams in every recipe, or a first edition of Arthur C. Clarkes nonfiction. You might have to dig a little bit towards the back of the shelves, and theyve provided those step-stools for searching the top shelves; schedule a bit of time if youre visiting for the first time. Prices very reasonable.

My husband and I refuse to go anywhere else!! I am convinced that the staff of Archives Books can find any book you could possibly want. They found my favorite book, which was no longer in print, in about a week. The copy was almost perfect and they charged me almost nothing. Its obvious the staff not only cares about their customers but can appreciate the value of a good book!
