Sister of the bride here! MAOT, specifically Niharika, is the best! Once we realized we could not get our clothes for wedding events from India, we were so disappointed. However, Niharika took such good care of us from the moment we stepped into MAOT until the day of the wedding. She truly cares for her customers and wont let you leave until you are satisfied. She allowed any and all alterations of her clothes and delivered on her promises. My family had no idea there was such great variety in Indian clothes in NJ! MAOT has pieces of every price range for everyone, including many designer pieces and designer trunk shows. She also holds a great variety of jewelry as well, and found earrings that matched with my lehenga to a T. My family bought all our wedding outfits from Niharika for the Sangeet, wedding ceremony, and reception, and got endless compliments on our outfits. We love Niharika and MAOT! My family whole heartedly would recommend this store for all of your Indian outfit needs, thank you MAOT for making my sisters wedding so special!

This review is long overdue. Really overdue. However, time will not change how AMAZING The Mall At Oak Tree (MAOT) is!Looking for a traditional Indian style bridal outfit? Go to MAOT.Looking for a bespoke piece with certain elements?Go to MAOT.Looking for something gorgeous, but within a budget, Go to MAOT.Looking for evening wear? Ha, better believe it, MAOT will have it.They have designs of all kinds for discerning tastes and price ranges to fit any budget (literally). My personal experiences have been mainly with their designer trunkshows. So nicely put together, organized, and even have models in different pieces so you can see the beauty of the clothing (lets face it, sometimes when its on the hanger, you may not see the possibilities, but when its draped beautifully on someone, you think WHOA!! I can attest to this because I once purchased a tunic, that I initially thought, oh its OK. But when I saw the same item on Niharika Batra, it definitely changed my mind (granted, I am not as modelesque as she is, but the top was lovely and glad I did purchase!!)Many of my relatives shop at MAOT and all had seamless and wonderful experiences. My cousins wife even found an evening dress there for a formal event, and it garnered compliments all night long!Chirag, Niharika and their staff are really wonderful. I never felt pressured to purchase on a whim, and the customer attention is so welcome and detailed. I say this wholeheartedly, they will not pressure you to purchase if you are on the fence about something. Customer satisfaction is top of mind for the staff, so the goal is to make all their customers happy with all their purchases. If you are looking for trendy, traditional, bespoke or even something a bit different from the normal run of the mill designs, take a visit to Mall at Oak Tree. You wont be sorry.

If you are looking for the latest styles, contemporary & designer ethnic wear - this is the place! I recently purchased an outfit for the baby shower event. Everyone was very helpful and patient. Alterations were made in time and were flawless. Boatloads of thanks to Niharika, Suseela, and Tailor for the wonderful designer wear. Truly impressed with their service.

I had a bad experience here.I bought an Indian outfit, which was very simple without any sequins whatsoever and it was very overpriced. It needed it to be altered in order to fit me. They told me that alterations cost an extra $60 which I Paid. The women assure me that it would be ready on Monday (it was a Saturday). So I went Monday around 4pm to collect my outfit but was told that Its not ready because the tailor was not there. Their demeanor changed from being nice from when I first went to being very hostile, they were speaking their language among themselves and you could that they didnt care.10 Mins after I left that day, they called me and told me that my Outfit was ready. I was like what? I turned around and went back and they had the outfit ready -__-It was clear that they did a rushed alteration because it was so bad and tacky, the stitching were unsymmetrical.

I went to the mall at oak tree a couple of months ago to shop for outfits for my brothers and cousins weddings coming up this summer. They had a great selection of designers and different kinds of outfits for all the events that are a part of an Indian wedding-for guests and brides themselves. I even ended up buying a sherwani type jacket for my husband to wear to my brothers wedding. Not only was I happy with their selection but their customer service-every person I interacted with wanted to make sure I was happy with my purchases and the final fit of my outfits which Im particular about. I know where Ill be going the next time I need to shop for an Indian outfit!

I would definitely not describe this as a mall. There are a few different stores within the building but they are all probably owned and at least operated by the same woman. When we first went in, we were greeted by the woman in the store and then when we didnt see anything there within our budget, she offered to show us the shop next door which had the clearance items. They did have a large selection of different Indian clothing options, but their prices seemed a little higher than other comparable stores.

I am wondering why the clothing stores are getting 5 stars! Is there any option for negative 5 stars? So they do have a great collection, but mind you, you will only be welcome and treated well if you are going to spend $$$$$$. If you are looking to get a matching blouse for a saree you already have, you are not welcome specially when there are other bigger customers in the store. The manager or the person in charge will ask the salesgirls to pay more attention to people who they think will spend thousands! What kind of customer service is that? Here is what happened; My wife was looking for a matching blouse for a saree she had already purchased. One of the salesgirl offered to help find her one, and there were a couple of them she liked and asked if there were more choices. Meanwhile the manager comes from behind and ask the salesgirl what she is looking for. The salesgirl politely said, that I am looking for a blouse for her for this saree. In the next second it happened that my wife turned around and saw (caught) the manager who was giving signs to the salesgirl that she needs to go and help other customers (who came in the store after us) since they were looking for wedding dresses. No customer is big or small! They have no sense of customer service! I would definitely want to make sure that they see this and act on it. This may have happened to many, but I am someone who will not be quite for not being properly treated. You are in business because of your customers, learn to respect each one!

Buyer beware - if youre not local to Edison and/or immediately planning to spend thousands of dollars, I dont recommend shopping here.I made a trip from DC to the Mall at Oak Tree for potential bridal wear and ended up buying an outfit I liked for a pre-wedding event. So many things went wrong:1) No promised alterations were done on my outfit. Chirag, the owner or someone with authority there, seems to believe alterations were done incorrectly, as though I somehow grew 4 inches in height and lost 40 lbs in 2 weeks...2) This item was less than $1000, so when a family member went to pick it up after it was supposed to be altered to my size, Rekha told her the item was not expensive enough to iron or send in a garment bag (things that were promised to us when we bought the outfit).3) Rekha forgot to send the dupatta that belonged with the outfit. This had to be mailed to me.The Mall tried to fix the alterations on my outfit twice, but they lost my measurements so the outfit they sent back 1) cutoff my circulation and 2) then reverted back to being too big. This was even after I FaceTimed them to give them my measurements. In the end, this whole saga took over a month and I never got a properly tailored outfit.
