I originally gave this company a 1 due to the experience we had when we bought a used boat that wasn’t water ready. The regional manager called us after the owner read the review of our experience. The regional manager Mark was very nice when I informed him of our experience. He offered to come and get our boat which is 2 1/2 hours away and fix the problem at no charge. I couldn’t believe how generous the offer was and when I asked him you would do that for us? His response Was they are honest and run there business in a honest manner. They were true to there word and fixed our boat and took us out on a test run. If I could have give 6 stars I would. I respect the owner and staff not only do they give great customer service. They are very trustworthy. We love our boat and will definitely go back when it’s time for an upgrade. I highly recommend young Harris and will tell everyone I know. If your looking for any type of water sport equipment they have a large selection and superb customer service. We thank the owner so much for being so professional and understanding. We rented two consecutive days with Young Harris; a Tritoon one day and a runabout the next. The entire process of renting, signing the waivers (for all passengers) and watching the required safety videos was all easily accomplished via IPhone. Both boats were in good shape, ran well and allowed us to have a blast on the lake. The customer service we experienced was first rate both days. Professional, friendly and efficient. When we had an issue the second day, they took care of it without us having to do more than inform them of what happened. Very impressive in this day and age of declining customer service. As a result, we highly recommend Young Harris and will use them again the next time we’re in town.

Rented a ski boat for tubing. Boat was new and equipment was in excellent shape. Very professional staff that explained everything well and were very accommodating. It wasn’t a busy day and our family was having such a good time on the water that we called in to extend the rental time.

We had an easy rental experience. Safety training was clear and thorough. We had to dock the jet ski for 15 minutes of the 2 hour rental because they sent us out with no oil in the vehicle. They fixed the problem quickly.

Our family recently vacationed in Georgia and decided to have a day on the water. Young Harris Watersports, Hiawassee, GA location, proved to be a perfect choice for us. The family experienced a fun-filled day, having rented a couple of jet skis and the double-decked slide pontoon boat. The staff --every single one of them-- were extremely professional, courteous, accommodating, friendly and hospitable. The watercraft vehicles were operational and clean, with the pontoon boat very comfortable. Our group ages ranged from infant to 80+ and all were very pleased with our day on the water! What an amazing experience - and an amazing crew! We were given a great review before launch and some ice cold waters and plenty of towels - and a tube for the kids. My kids told me it was the best vacation ever and the boat ride was the best part!

We have rented from YHWS for a couple of years now. The staff is always friendly and polite. The fleet has been updated and the new crafts are amazing! We rented a pontoon with slide and jet ski on day one and a ski boat on day two. Wish we had more days to spend in Georgia on the lake.

We rented a tri-toon boat from Young Harris and had a great experience. The boat was a 2021 and was in prefect condition. The on line rental process was easy and the boat was waiting and it ready for us on the day of our rental. I highly recommend Young Harris and will be back next summer.

Wonderful half day on the lake. Check in and check out was easy. AJ gave us great tips and cautions that kept us out of trouble. The boat was spotless and performed perfectly. Dont let the online sign up put you off. There are a lot of sign-offs and waivers due to the inherent liabilities of boat rental. That said it wasnt all that bad. The folks in the office we nice and conversational. I will return. For sure.

Easy location, pleasant staff, good instruction, really nice boat (Tritoon), easy return. Only comment would be about the reservation process. The website wasn’t the easiest to use, and the young women who answered the phones were not quite as professional as they could have been, but no one specific complaint.

Loved the wake boat!! Had plenty of space for my husband and me plus 6 high school teens. Fun times on the water wake boarding, wake surfing, skiing and tubing. The staff at Young Harris were very helpful setting us up with everything we needed and answered our questions. Gas fill-ups and equipment exchanges were a breeze. We really wish they had t-shirts we could have bought for the kids to remember their fun summer trip!!

Great experience! The pontoon was perfect and the fact that we could watch a video and sign wavers ahead of time made he process simple and quick, getting us in the water and allowing maximum time in the boat. AJ was awesome, gave us some quick navigational tips and we were off. He on site refueling made it easy for drop off.

The food had no taste my ribs were tough my stew was terrible the only good thing was the view of the lake.

This was my second time visiting and I had an amazing time! The staff is super friendly & were very accommodating with pushing my reservation time back due to me having car trouble. Ive been on quarantine for 10 weeks and this was my first time outdoors! The day was perfect & I would recommend this place to everyone . The prices are reasonable and you will have a fun time no matter which watercraft you rent. It’s well worth the drive coming from Atlanta area.

Overall we were quite pleased with Young Harris for our 5-day boat rental for our family. The boat was clean and updated, and ran perfectly for the duration of our trip. The staff was kind and courteous as well. Overall a lovely experience. Our only reason for a 4-star rating was the price. At more than $550/day, it was a substantial amount for a rental. Lack of competition clearly impacts their pricing.

I gladly recommend Young Harris Water Sports.The location is right across the bridge which makes it extremely accessible. The lady who met us first was very kind and showed us what we needed. Next, was our instructor. Not only did he take his time with us explaining, he also waited for us taking our precious time. Sorry!!My advice? TAKE PICTURES BEFORE YOU BOARD. The watercraft was well maintained and had a few cosmetic issues which was almost a problem with leaving. The instructor stated I could take pictures of the damage before hand so I would not be charged the deposit if there was damage. I could not reach the other side to take a picture. We never docked or hit anything in the water, but when we got back, of course the only side we didnt take a picture of was in question. Finally, after three people looking at it, he asked if we had docked it and we said no, he let it go....but still, if he had said it hadnt been there, I dont know what we would have done...We only rented one jet ski this time because the last few times at other locations the experience has not been pleasant. We rented both jet skis and a wake boat from Young Harris. All equipment was very clean and we appreciated the staff was wearing masks to protect their customers and they were also diligent in ensuring all life vests and boat/ski surfaces we’re disinfected. We had a great time on the water!!

I would like to offer a warning to others who are renting from Young Harris Water Sports on Lake Oconee. Before renting anything, I would encourage you to have the equipment pulled from the water, so you will be able to inspect the parts that are under the water. Also I would encourage you to not rent a boat unless the depth finder is working. We found out that even if you follow the guidelines given and operate the boat in the center of the lake, if something happens to the boat, you are charged the full amount of the damage deposit. I agree there definitely is a risk when you rent something, but it is their word against yours - you are unable to prove that you didnt hit anything and they are unable to prove that the boat wasnt damaged before it was rented to you.My husband, Kevin, was the driver of the boat, when the boat stopped. He was looking straight ahead and there was no indication of anything on the surface of the water as we were traveling in the middle of the lake. There was absolutely no indication in the steering wheel that we had hit something and noone on board felt any vibration indicating we hit something. There was no sign of any debris in the water. Kevin has been a business owner for 22 years plus, and whenever he has been in the situation where a customer would have to incur costs in business transactions, he would negotiate with them. You said the only thing that would please [us] would be for [you] to eat all the damage costs incurred - we never suggested that. We are asking for you to be fair and to work with us. We understand there is risk involved and that is why you have to protect yourself as a business owner and we respect that. Ourintention is not to defame or attack you or your business name, we are trying to explain clearly and honestly what happened in our situation. If we are both honest, neither side can prove what caused this to happen. Was there an undetectable object below the surface at the exact depth of the prop? Was there some unknown defect to the prop and shaft unbeknownst to either of us before we rented the boat? These are both possibilities, but may never be able to be proven. This is an unusual and regrettable situation for both sides. We want to encourage others to inspect the bottom of the boat, which appears to be the most vulnerable part of the boat, before you leave the dock.

Very disorganized to say the least. We tried to park our boat to pick up jet ski we rented your not aloud to park your boat so you have to wait for a spot to open where the person going to drive it can hurry and jump off the boat onto shore.with several boats floating around waiting and jet skis. we had 16 and 17 year olds wanting to drive nope according to there rules you have to be 18. If you needed a life jacket to ride you had to be fitted but there was so much chaos we decided to use our own life jackets. Finally got my jet ski the young boy who helped us was very nice. when he saw there was no gas in it he quickly give us another one.we did this Saturday and Sunday. Needless to say I will be buying my own it will be worth it.

We rented a nice, almost new pontoon boat from Young Harris Water Sports Lake Oconee Saturday. What a smooth, easy, and wonderful experience! Everyone at the rental location was super nice and accommodating of our every need. We were in the boat and on the water in no time at all, with a very very short walk from parking to the boat. We have rented many a pontoon boat on many lakes over the years, and rate this experience at the top of our list.

Young Harris is always a breeze to do business with. Courtney is consistently cheerful and helpful. The quality and variety of boats is a pleasure.

We had a fabulous time on our double decker pontoon sunset cruise. We are women of a certain age and all had a blast. Five us us even went down the slide (a must have) to enjoy the beautiful lake water.Captain Billy was amazing! He was charming and fun and competent. He managed to keep us safe while keeping the fun going, and also happens to be a great DJ. We would definitely book again!

This was my first time on a jet ski. Im fifty five and I had my fourteen year old son with me as a passenger on the jet ski. The attendant for the rentals on Lake Oconee made everything very easy from signing the paperwork to understanding how to operate the jet ski. In our quick hands on tutorial our attendant was confident and easy going so I never felt nervous or worried. I got a feel for everything in just a few minutes! We had SO much fun that now we want to buy one! Thanks Young Harris Water Sports for providing such a fun time at our stay at the Ritz!

Booked a boat for my family on June 30th. The time got pushed back to the last session of the day because the boat we originally booked had a damaged trim (boy that did the booking said he wasn’t aware because it was not recorded.) Kids were exhausted from swimming all afternoon, so we called that afternoon and moved the 5:30 pm launch to the next morning at 10 am. Showed up at 9:30 am to be told that the price doubled due to holiday hours. Girl at desk said she would explain our situation to the manager and call us back. Never got a call back so went to desk at 11:00 am to check, and she said we could take boat for 1 hour but would be charged for 2 hours on holiday pricing. (We were departing the Ritz Carlton at noon). The customer service at every turn was horrible. We go to Reynolds Plantation all the time but never working with Young Harris again.

Watch a ten minute video on water safety and the next thing you know you are out on the water. Great experience with a solid staff. I highly recommend these guys.

We rented boats and jet skis and the were excellent! As good as the products were the service was top notch! They are the only provider of rental boats for The Ritz-Carlton on the lake for a reason! Speaking to the managers of the Ritz I was told this company was by far the best on this lake and they weren’t lying! Very professional and helpful. The dock hand had great knowledge of the boat we were renting. When we returned to the fuel dock in the pouring rain, about 5 dock hands were right there to help dock us and told us not to worry that they will put it back at the dock. Very pleased and will be renting again in the near future. We rented the 17ft aluminum fishing boat.

Have been looking for a boat and been to many places. Thought we found the one at this location. Jake was very thorough and patient throughout the process. I was introduced to other staff members and made to feel like family. Unfortunately at the last minute I had to back out of the deal due to a personal situation that came up. Jake was very understanding, did not push to make a sale and immediately got my down payment returned in a very friendly, understanding manner. I will buy a boat this year and will not shop anywhere else as I still felt welcomed by the staff as I left their location.

We had never been on Lake Oconee; they answered all questions and had a notebook containing map, etc. for us to take out with us. We thought the tritoon boat was perfect for our family of 6 adults and our young grandson. It was much nicer than pontoon boats we have rented on other lakes! The seating was roomy and comfortable, it was easy to drive, the bluetooth sound system worked great. We will definitely rent from them when we visit this area again!

Great experience. We choose the option to have a captain onboard. Thomas was an experienced captain/driver, friendly and service oriented. He knew the lake well and how to tow the raft so it was an exciting experience. We just couldnt have done that on our own.
