Inconvenience is the best way to describe this dealership.The Service Advisor Eric could care less about his customers concerns. I felt rushed out the door and my issue didnt even get resolved with the resolution is just make another appointment and come back later. This is my first Subaru I have ever owned and my first service experience and I am very disappointed.

I was stopping through town for my wedding and I noticed my car leaking a small bit of oil. I came into the shop after calling ahead to let them know the situation. Erik was extremely unhelpful and as a woman I found his behavior completely unacceptable and a huge red flag to me. DO NOT get your car serviced here if you are a woman. I have worked on my own car for 6 years and although I am not a mechanic I know enough about cars to know that this guy was trying to hustle me.He was so rude to me as I was on my hands and knees in heels and white jeans on the filthy shop floor trying to talk to him about where I saw the leak coming from and what kind of substance was coming out of the car and he couldn’t even pay me the respect of getting down on his hands and knees and letting me show him where it was coming from.The disrespect was appalling to say the least. I am a writer and even though I am not local I was ready to write a fantastic five star review for ANYBODY willing to help me get to my wedding on time.I would not recommend getting your serviced here as Erik was completely dishonest to us and wanted me to pay $120 to say it was residual oil loss and I just wanted someone to double check my car before heading out of town for my big day.I can’t imagine taking my car here as a local. Erik was disgustingly dishonest and did not want to help us out at all. If I could give this place zero stars for how they handled the situation so unprofessionally, I would.

Why would anyone drive 3.5hrs to buy a car when there are 3 dealerships 40 minutes or less away?? Customer Service & a great price.Dean Schmidt the Internet Manager did a great job of getting us all the information we needed to find the car we wanted. He was able to find the exact car the wife wanted before it was even delivered to store.Subaru “Hank” (Never got his last name) closed the deal for us. Had the car checked out & detailed before we arrived. Gave the wife plenty of his time helping her understand the ins & outs of the new car. He made the hand off very smooth. From the minute I walked in until I drove off the lot - fantastic, world class, customer service and a very friendly, capable, patient, and fun staff. I spent a lot of time working with Patrick in sales and Nickie in financing. Both of them were absolutely awesome to work with. I never felt any pressure to buy, they were both very knowledgeable, experienced, and most of all (as my first time purchasing a car from a dealer), they both answered all of my basic questions and addressed every concern I had with patience and respect. I can say with 100% certainty that I never planned on purchasing a car from a dealer, but Im so glad I reached out when I saw my car on their lot. I can say with absolute certainty that I will return here when it comes time to purchase my next Subaru because of how great Patrick and Nickie were to work with. After 3 days with my Outback, Im in love. I guess its true what they say, love, its what makes a Subaru a Subaru

On a road trip vacation with my wife when my 2009 Forest started blowing oil from the rear engine. I knew it had to be a blown rear seal. We took the chance and pulled in to Morehart Murphy Subaru. Greeted quickly and they pinpointed the problem in minutes. Erik Wojcik was fantastic with updates and the problem was corrected within just minutes by their master mechanic on duty. They replace the rear cam seal and all was good. We finished our vacay and back to central Texas with no issues. Thanks to all the service department for their quick and thorough work. 1 hour in and out! AMAZING

WARNING: DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE UNLESS IT IS A *FACTORY* MODEL. I’d give zero stars if I could.I’m gonna be up front with my review: I own a moderately modified 2017 Subaru WRX.I have taken it to multiple dealers all throughout the southwest area for routine service (oil/fluid changes, tire rotations, general maintenance) from Phoenix to Denver and have NEVER been scolded like I have at MMS for owning a Subaru. I’ve had multiple phone calls with Subaru of America about the extremely poor service at this dealership and nothing ever seems to get done.The technicians at this particular department/dealership will not stop complaining about my cars modifications, which “make it extremely difficult to perform routine maintenance,” every single time I come in, yet still accepted my money; until my last visit, which consisted of a simple oil change and tire rotation: to which afterwards the service advisor, Erik, informed me that he, personally, will refuse to service my vehicle any longer. He also informed me that if you have any sort of modification to your Subaru that is NOT a factory addition, don’t even bother bringing it in. They don’t want your business.He noted the technician’s frustration with my front-mount intercooler (a WRX from the factory has a top-mount intercooler) and it’s interference with the oil fill cap, (it’s the yellow cap next to the black oil filter to the left of the red piping on the right side of the engine bay.)I’ll let you be the judge, but as an engineering major, I don’t think it takes a physics degree to figure out how to fill this car with oil with that great big brand-new facility at MMS. To be frank, it seems like every technician in that building only knows how to follow a manual with instructions, instead of truly knowing how the vehicle operates as a whole and how to deal with the nature of the vehicle as such.Beware, only go to this dealer if you need routine maintenance and your car ISN’T modified in the slightest, otherwise you will get side-eye and a BIG attitude from the service advisors, salesmen, and the technicians themselves.

Usually pretty good, but my car was diagnosed with an oil leak related to the cam carrier and oil pan. Never saw oil leak, oil light never went on, never smelled oil burning but I usually trust this dealership (and this was over a time frame of six months) Cautiously I want to say I think it went down hill a little bit. I decided to finally schedule the work to be done, but by the time they called me back with a loaner car I traded my car in and bought a new Subaru and not from Durango. I will most likely still take my car here for routine oil changes but not much else.

I kept getting notifications about the airbags in my Subaru on recall. I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance and coordinated a loaner for the day. I showed up at 0830 ready to drop my car off and run all my errands for the day. My dogs were in the back. Got halfway through the process of handing my car over and the technician says no pets are allowed in their loaners. A little ironic since they advertise that they are this dog friendly company... In addition to that, I told him of a recent issue I noticed with my brakes. He told me I would be charged labor to diagnose the problem (don’t know if there actually IS a problem) and charges would be from $115-150/hr of labor! Come on! We have doctors and high level healthcare providers here that don’t get paid that for an hours work. I left. Waste of time and total rip off.

Although having a car break down is never pleasant, I am glad it happened in Durango. Janet in service was able to get us right in. Eric diagnosed the problem quickly. Very professional and helpful place for two out of staters just trying to get home after having a family emergency.

I came to MMS for an airbag recall. I believe I talked to Donna to schedule the appointment. She was through and got me hooked up with a loaner car for the day. She was amazing. Another lady with red hair was frantic, rude and expected me to know how the recall process works when I have no idea. She didn’t have a name tag so I can’t name her directly.

I took my suabru in due to an oil leek. When all was resolved I asked the guy where to pour the oil in case of another. He preceded to yell at me which was totally unnecessary. Never been treated so poorly in a place where Ive spent hundreds of dollars

My husband called the service department of Morehart Murphy Subaru to ask for a price of the front break replacement service for his Outback. The lady promised to check and call back. After an hour past he called again, was told they still working on it (?!) Two hours later still no answer. We are new to this area, but when we called any other auto service/parts in the past they were able to answer this kind of simple question on spot. I’m afraid to ask how long the service would take- a week, month?!

My wife and I recently (last week) purchased a 2020 Subaru Crosstrex form here and were very pleased with the service we received! We dealt with Patrick as our Sales person who was polite, knowledgeable, and not pushy! You will be lucky if you get him as your salesman! Also a thumbs up to Niki who was our finance representative and also very professional to deal with. The whole company is adhering to Covid precautions which is appreciated! Cant go wrong in dealing with these folks!

I went in for an airbag replacement and they disconnected my sound system and they gave me my car back with it disconnected. I came back and asked them to undo what they did, but they couldnt. Since the change took all day I have to take AN ADDITIONAL day off tomorrow to go to Axxis Audio since they closed RIGHT as Subaru found out they couldnt fix their own mistake. I am livid. They need to hire more educated people.

Excellent service and FANTASTIC car buying experience. Patrick, our salesperson was extremely patient and was willing to answer our questions for HOURS (actually a day and a half!)The entire crew was friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. We were broken down 900 miles from home with no option but to rent a car or buy a new one. Service department is a actual joke. A JEEP dealership that won’t work on a JEEP over 10 years old. I would stray far away from this place... they won’t back up their product... even if you are trying to spend money there! Go down the road to Durango Motor Company, they will won’t ok ANY vehicle, even if they didn’t sale it!

My friend took car her for regular service. We got there early and while we were waiting another sales person came and visited with us. His name was Chee. Very nice man. She passed the offer for a rental car but we decided that we wanted one. They didnt have any. A few minutes later the gentleman came to us with a rental. Went to the bead store and to have lunch. While we were out, service called to inform us the car was ready. We asked if we could have lunch first. It only took them 30 minutes for our service. Wow, that never happens. GET JOB EVERYONE THERE.!!!

I was very disappointed and offended during my last visit to Subaru body shop in Durango. I live 3 hrs from this body shop but it is the closest to where I live. I made an appointment a month in advance and was told my car would be in the shop all day. At this time I asked for a loaner to be available as I do not know many people in town or my way around and would be attempting to run errands. Upon my arrival at 9am, I was told no loaners were available but I could rent a car if I wanted or take the shuttle. The woman who helped me was rude and abrasive when I said I thought I had requested a loaner due to being from out of town and my car being in the shop the WHOLE day. She assured me that would most definitely not be possible. I took the shuttle into town, and NEVER heard from the body shop. At 4:30pm I came back to the body shop to check on the status of my car and was told it would be about 45min-1hr. The same woman as before was condescending and told me that she usually has these things done over the course of two days but was doing me a favor by trying to squeeze it into one day. I told the same woman I would be waiting in the waiting area. Over the next hour I watched as the dealership closed, everyone left and I was the only one sitting in the waiting area. At one point I stood up and my keys were just sitting on their hook. 15min later, the manager saw me standing there, went and got my keys from the hook and told me I was all set. I was appalled, why had that woman made me wait when my car had been finished this whole time? Why was she so rude to me when I was having work done on my car that was due to a poor job by Subaru in the first place? They also did not provide me with any paperwork detailing what they had done to my car. When I asked, I was told it would be mailed to me but the manager did not confirm my address and rushed me out the door. I am now very hesitant to recommend the body shop to anyone and I am frustrated that this is my only option for Subaru care. Fingers crossed I do not need anything else done to my car in the near future.

Morehart Subaru has excellent repairs and service. Staff friendly. Downside is shuttle. Shuttle driver excellent. Morehart has policy of only picking up and delivering customers in 5 mile radius. I am 6 miles out. I am in my 60s. Permanently physically disabled. I had to walk over a mile to Elmores store in morning rush traffic next to state highway 160 to wait along side the highway waiting for the shuttle. I have lived in Durango 30 years. Done business with Morehart for years. The shuttle driver should be allowed leeway in dropping -picking up customers. I would have gladly paid for gas and time. Not happy.

Excellent people and skills here, in both the service and body shop. The body shop is not walk-in for estimates, so call ahead for an appointment. Their paintwork matches the factory one, and my car came back clean. After and extended warranty repair, I was happy to know that the team members keep notes so that I could call to find out status. Thats only when I was curious, because they called weekly. I have had all levels of work done here on several cars. The front end staff of the dealership is equally professional. Love the cars and LOVE Morehart Murphy.

Horrible dealership. Four (4) month backlog (called March 28th, first available appointment July 22nd) for dealership to take care of Tanaka airbag recall. And, this is a recall that if not performed could result in death or permanent injury to the occupant of the car. We are a small dealership, we suggest you go to Grand Junction or Albuquerque. Guess what, next time we buy a car, thats where were going.

I bought a brand new 2017 Subaru Outback. I feel SO SICK in it, especially with the AC on. I hate the car. Also this dealership is not accommodating to people with special needs. Worst dealership EVER. They took 6 weeks to send out my title and no one told me it would not go to my address, instead it is being held at the post office. I truly hate this dealership. Nothing but major problems and hassles. DONT BUY A CAR FROM HERE.

Sitting here now waiting for service to be done. I live in PS and was in Durango for an appt when my check engine light and others, went on. I called here to see if they could diagnose it to make sure it was safe to drive. On top of squeezing me into a tight schedule, they fixed the problem (oil change) free of charge. How thankful I am! Having a new Subaru, I hope not many issues come up, but if they do I will take the two hour journey to take it here. Thank you to the service manager and everyone else! Great service like this doesnt happen anymore. Thank you!!

This is kind of a long review......in a nutshell, Janet (Service Manager) is awesome and and obviously knows the value of providing excellent customer service!!! We are from the SLC, Utah area and we were on a great camping trip at Mesa Verde NP until we woke up one morning to a flat battery in my 2017 Subaru Outback Limited. We got a jump, but then the rear hatch wouldn’t close properly and was beeping all day even though it was closed (and we could not get it open to access our gear) the control panel was eliminated all the next night saying rear hatch open, so the battery went flat again. After trying everything in the manual to no avail we headed to the closest dealer in Durango. Janet, the Service Manager greeted us right away and although we could see she was very busy on this Friday, she immediately told us she would get us in and take a look. We went out to the car to get some things and the hatch opened right up, most likely the long drive had properly charged the battery, but we were not happy and Janet insisted on running diagnostics to make sure we didn’t have any more problems. She arranged for a shuttle into town and we did some sightseeing for few hours until the car was ready. Bottom line it was kind of a mystery as to what happened and I am very unhappy with Subaru in what appears to be poor engineering design for auto rear hatch issues, but Janet provided some of the best customer service ever, especially in this day and age!! Thank you Janet and the staff at Morehart Murphy Subaru for helping us salvage our trip! Mesa Verde is awesome!

Called and got a quote to replace a $15 part that required no tools and the service bulletin estimates at 30 minute. Was quoted $250. What a joke, I dont know why anyone would ever use a dealership service, but this one seems especially bad.
