This car market right now is tough and despite this, they did work out a deal with us that included some minor work to the car (brakes). We purchased a 2005 Honda Civic LX 4dr Sedan from Sky Auto Sales for my mother. The airbag did not deploy during an accident. She was hit from behind and pushed into the vehicle in front of her. Her airbag did not deploy upon impact. She was wearing her seat belt but needed stitches across her forehead from hitting the steering wheel. In addition, she had a concussion, needed physical therapy, and we were stuck with medical bills, along with a messy insurance claim. We received $0 from any party involved, and she was left without a vehicle. The quality and wiring of the airbag were verified with Honda and previous dealerships. While purchasing the vehicle there were no warning lights, or airbag error lights during the test drive. It is believed the airbag warning light was bypass, indicating everything was fine. If the airbag is missing or bypassed, this should have been transparent during the purchase. This is a critical item and could have been easily fixed had we known. I would never recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, and it is my duty to write this review for my mother.

I question the thoroughness of their inspections, and the sneaky tactics at Sky Auto Sales. I test drove a Dodge Charger from Sky Auto Sales. I took a long test drive at different speeds to check for vibrations and to allow any check engine lights to appear.Sure enough, they did. I had two error codes indicating issues with an O2 sensor and an air intake temp sensor. This was probably cleared out from a simple battery disconnect or another scanner to simply clear the codes. Running the vehicle for a longer period allows the vehicle diagnostic system to check all sensors and output the results to something like a scanner. For a $40 scanner on amazon, I saved myself future issues.Save yourself the time and money and take a scanner or mechanically inclined friend with you if youre going to test drive a vehicle from here.

If I could give these guys 6 stars I would. But let me explain why...When it comes to dealerships, Im extremely skeptical. I live in NC so when I located the car I had searched the internet for (color/gadgets/miles/price point) on their lot, I proceeded with caution as I gathered as much information as I could. I spoke with Joe the first time I called and he was very straightforward, matter of fact, and to the point. This was a plus but not enough to win my confidence. We agreed on a price and I must have called them 3 more times to flesh out questions I had as I thought of them. Each time they patiently answered my questions and helped me problem solve to overcome the challenges of a cross country purchase.When all was said and done, I got the car I wanted for the price we agreed on and not a penny more. The transaction was as straightforward as Joe was the first time we talked. I flew up to Detroit earlier than expected to expedite the purchase so the car was a little dusty when I showed up, but Joe hooked me up with some pocket change to get a nice car wash before hitting the road back to NC. A small gesture but it was consistent with the kind of customer service Id been receiving from them long before they could tell if I was a serious buyer.Although I would advise any consumer to proceed with caution whenever buying a new/used vehicle, my experience with Sky Auto sales was an unexpected and refreshing reminder that legitimate businesses run by honest businessmen still do exist.Great work Joe & Fred, thanks for a great buying experience.

By the time we got to the dealer, the car was sold (we actually saw the other customer, so it was not a bait-and-switch tactic), but within one week, the salesman Fred was in direct contact with my husband letting us know that a similar model had come in, and gave us excellent customer service as we inquired about the vehicle. We havent ended up making a purchase with this dealer, but the customer service alone is enough to be impressed by. My husband is not easily impressed, especially with car dealers, but he has been very vocal about his appreciation for how we were treated here. Highly recommend.

I had financed a truck from them so a year later I went in to upgrade and was told I could not do so if I still had a note with Credit Acceptance and that I would have to have the note paid off first so went to another dealership and was told that’s a lie I could do it I would just have to put money down with it!!! They just lost a customer and my business!!!

I recently purchased a low mileage 2013 Honda CRV from Sky Auto Sales in Detroit, Michigan. Normally I would limit a used Honda search to either a Honda dealer or a private owner. On the Sky Auto website I discovered what I thought might be the perfect used Honda. Low mileage, reportedly in good condition and well, it was Sky Blue. A Sky Blue car at Sky Auto Sales. At Sky my wife and I met Fred, one of the most personable, engaging and helpful sales persons I have ever encountered. Mind you, during my work career I was called upon by many hundreds of eager corporate representatives, so I am probably aware of and immune to every sales pitch, lie and trick known to man. Fred is an incredibly honest individual, who not once attempted to sell us on the car, he seems to view his job as primarily a facilitator. Fred went above and beyond to solve even the smallest of issues as we completed the purchase of our lightly used dream machine. As an added bonus, my wife and I have discovered a new friend in, some would say, the most unlikely of places.

Do NOT buy from this dealer. This dealer is not honest. I bought a Toyota Camry from them, and the car is Salvage-Title Vehicle. I did NOT know the car I bought has already TOTALED. They did not tell me about that. They tried to hide the accident report on the Carfax. I swear to God that is my experience with the Sky Auto Sales. Dont buy from them or printing out the Carfax report by yourself. Do not trust them.

When I purchase my truck I noticed it was covered with some big fender flares, after I took the fender flares off i noticed there was a bad paint job up under the flares, I inquired to the salesman about what was under the flairs, he stated everything was okay, i tried to get it them to fix the bad paint job, they wont fix it, therefore. I will not be buy more cars or trucks from Sky Auto Sales on Joy Roadi. Detroit MI.....ALSOWhen I went to buy my truck from here I wanted to do a test drive but the guy would not let me go on the test drive by myself as we returned to Sky Auto Sales and started doing the paperwork a guy of a dish different race came up and he was able to go on a test drive by his self I hope its not racial profiling, I noticed it a couple times, I AM JUST SAYING....

I saw the Lincoln MKX I was interested in online. Next day went in, took it for a test drive and fell in love! Within 2 hours I was on my way home in my new ride! I drove from Lake Orion to check out 2 Subarus. Both great vehicles reasonably priced. Fred helped me out and was awesome. He let me drive both vehicles and spend as much time as I wanted inspecting and comparing the two. He was very honest about the vehicles and was not pushy at all with the sale. He made me feel comfortable and not under pressure. I wasnt ready to buy just yet but he told me hed call me and give updates if other people made offers. He followed up with me a couple times and let me know when the car was sold. I ended up finding a car at a different lot that I liked more but I would recommend this place to anyone.
