Friendly, timely, and efficient staff. I picked up a truck without a reservation and was on the road within 5 minutes. Easy and simple. No issues with the truck other than missing windshield wiper blades. Not a problem since it wasn’t raining. I asked about them when I returned the truck and a crew member said that people steal them. That’s unfortunate. Those people are lame but these guys are great! I would rent with them again.

If I could rate this place lower than 1 star I would. Didnt catch the name of who was working, no name tag/no introduction -- so the female was working the closing shift (7PM) on 06/30/21, absolutely terrible. If youre going to work a customer service job, at least provide service. All three people that came out of the building before I went in made comments like good luck or well she was less than helpful. And when we walked in (after driving a full 18 hours from Michigan), at 6:57, she said were closed before we could even say anything. We tried to explain our situation and yet again were closed. After a previous employee from another uhaul tried to call the location (unsuccessfully) and set us up with storage unit herself, the lady at the Colfax uhaul was insistent that we didnt have a unit waiting for us and that she couldnt set us up with one because they were closed.

I had reservations for a U-Haul truck last weekend. It ended up not being available so I reserved another one for this weekend. We get there and we are told the truck didn’t work because the battery was dead. But they could accommodate a larger truck but wanted to charge 40% more for the other truck. I’ve seriously never been treated so unfairly. I felt that we should’ve been charged for the same amount for the truck we had reserved. The other truck was only 2 feet longer it was totally not worth it. They refused to give me the slightly larger truck at the same price as the one I had reserved.

Service cant be worse

They dont accept debit card to rent a pick up truck!! Really? They assume all people use credit cards! I drove to several U-Haul locations and no one of them accepted debit card. Bad policy for such a known company! They only care about protecting themselves not to accommodate customers! Very disappointed!

Well prepared and curtious service. I arrived at 8am for an appointment, I approached the counter and they already had my paperwork ready to sign. Not only that but they picked up a trailer ahead of time from a sister store and had it ready hours ahead of schedule.

Great experience. Had to move some personal effects so I used one of the 10 trucks, some moving blankets and a dolly. Truck, price and service were all solid. James did a great job taking care of us, well definitely be back again.

There’s no one working here at 2:45 on a Tuesday afternoon. Completely unlocked, doors open. Walked around the store and hollered out Hello but no answer. Luckily for you, I’m not dishonest or would’ve just taken what I came in for.

The guy at the counter was rude the 2 time i bent here I rent trucks trailer here all the time I fill propane every week no am going to ace cuz it’s the 2 time this guy it’s rude maybe because am Hispanic

The power was out and the employees where using their own phones, hotspots and personal computers to help customers. Honestly I would have put a sign in the door and left.These people went above and beyond, I saw them maintain their composure with difficult entitled customers. This is a shining example of can do attitude.Thank you and God bless

No controls in place to provide customer service in the event a regular pickup time cant be made. No calls, no emails. Will cancel reservation right off underneath you. Much like Netflix, taxi cabs, and hotels and motels, U-Haul eventually go to the wayside once theres a better option out there and I look forward to the day

We were moving from Seattle to Virginia and needed to pick up my car in Colorado. After driving the truck down from WA, we stopped at this location to get the tow dolly and connect the car. Right off the bat staff was rude and unfriendly. When we hooked up the dolly they gave us, my partner pointed out it was missing a tail light. The staff told us it was no big deal. When he pointed out that driving with a missing tail light is illegal, she rolled her eyes and said fine, then told us we could take their only other dolly instead. I noticed it looked smaller and asked if it would fit my car, as I had been told when I made the reservation that I need a wide dolly for my car. She insisted it would be fine. We had no reason not to believe her, hooked up the dolly, and tried to load my car. It turned out it was in fact not big enough for my car, and because of this, my bumper was torn badly by the dolly. She didnt apologize or even acknowledge this, and finally sent us to another U-Haul location down the road that had a wide dolly. When I asked her what I should do about the damage, she shrugged and walked away. Today I found out from U-Hauls insurance company that she did not make any record of offering us a second dolly, so we cant prove it happened and they wont fix the damage. Absolutely do not ever go here.

Only used this place twice, first time of what I could remember was quick and easy. Second time which was a few weeks ago was great. I just needed a truck and the thing to put your car on to take to my mechanic. Was way cheaper then a tow truck and was so easy to place both items on hold. The young guy who was working was alone and 2 or 3 people were dropping off vehicles and one person was ahead of me on getting their reservations, and one showed up after me. He was very professional even though he was rushed with everything at once. He stayed polite with all of us (customers) and was very nice. Ive used U-Haul so many times, but he still quickly and accurately explained everything to me.

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a company period. I showed up 1 hour from close with the bumper of my car removed after failing at installing my own hitch. I was stuck and had a trip the next day that I needed the hitch for. Instead of turning me away Josh, Aaron, and Angelo all stayed and help me. They where so helpful, nice, and got my car bumper back on. This was above and beyond! If the owner is reading this I would hold onto these three since its hard to find people who go the extra mile. Thank you Josh, Aaron, and Angelo!

Worst u haul ever staff extremely unprofessional and rude never coming here again

I was moving and I thought I would need a truck and a car dolly. Which would cost me about 1500 for my move. I was also sure a hitch would not fit on my Focus ST. The people here pointed out that it would be fine and with a small trailer I would be all set. Saved me at least 800 on my move. Here are the names of the people you want to deal with here because they are cool and KNOW what they are doing. Kareem Davidson, Robert Hannah, Jonathon Banks, Victor Gonzalez. I drove here from St Louis to buy a camper and needed a better hitch than I had. These folks went above and beyond to get me taken care of. Done deal. They are awesome!

Love their location, but its always a chore to work with these guys... More often than not credit card machines dont work. There is usually maybe one person there, and they are in no hurry to help you out when you arrive.Ive always gotten the equipment I want, and its a convenient location, but they need to get their act together.

Wonderful service and so friendly! They gave me a create deal on a trailer. I will definitely come back here.

Manager Dustin was amazingly helpful. We ended up having to rent a uhaul truck a bit longer and he was super helpful on making sure we didnt get screwed over.. Great customer service. Super bad ass dude :) appreciate you man!!

Came here and was waiting on my mobile validation playing music in my car. Robert comes out and tells me he cancelled my reservation because of my music. I went to another U-Haul store and read the reason they canceled and he lied. I had this booked for 2 weeks.

Its a u-haul alright! Guys who checked me out and in were super friendly and straightforward and the truck was in fine working condition.

Staffed by smart alecs who seemed delighted to inform us how they couldnt/wouldnt be able to assist us Stay away, far away!

Very poor customer service experience. U-Haul installed a hitch for us on our 2013 Subura Outback incorrectly. After they spent a few hours making the problem worse, we were told they needed to order parts and they would contact us in three days when they received the parts. After over a week we still have not received any phone call after numerous attempts on our end to contact the facility. Buyer beware! Do not have U-Haul install your hitch!

These people will scam you. Dont go to this store. I wish I would have read more reviews ahead of time, saying the same thing. I called ahead and scheduled a trailer hitch installation, and reserved their smallest trailer. As I explained a few times on the initial phone call, I needed this for a long trip, and wanted to be able to drive my small SUV, and wanted the trailer hitch on. Despite giving all of my personal and credit card info 3 times, it was still entered into the system incorrectly, so I never received the original agreement/contract. When I arrived in the morning for my appointment to get the trailer hitch and the trailer, they had my appointment scheduled, but they did not have the trailer hitch. They told me it would probably arrive in a couple hours, and to come back, and that they would be able to install it then. The assistant manager told me he would call me if they didnt receive it before then. I returned at the time they told me to, but they had not received it, and had not called to tell me that. I ended up making three trips to their store that day. The last one was late in the afternoon. Finally, since I was leaving the next morning for my trip, when they still didnt have the hitch by evening, I had to choose between either missing a trip that I had already spent LOTS of money and countless hours preparing for, or I had to take a much more expensive cargo van from them to get me and my companion to our destination. I chose to take the cargo van, since I was told they wouldnt charge my card until I returned the van, and at that time, they would make sure I was taken care of on the price. Long story short, I ended up paying several hundred dollars more to be highly inconvenienced, and very uncomfortable, on a very long trip. AND we spent more on gas than we would have otherwise. The Assistant Manager had told me, before I left on the trip, that he would give me a large discount before charging me, because it was their mistake; but when I got back, the Manager said he wouldnt. Granted: they did discount a lot of miles off of what they would have charged me for mileage - however, I still ended up paying about $300 more than I would have for the services I requested - and I ended up with much higher additional expenses - and I didnt get the trailer hitch for future use! If they had had the hitch and trailer, I wouldnt have been paying ANY mileage, and I would have spent less on gas. We also had to stop one night more than we planned to, to stay in a hotel, when we could have kept driving, if we had been in my car and been able to sleep in the vehicle. The store manager wouldnt give me a price that was more comparable to the original, contract price, but he gave me the name and number of someone who he said could help me - but that person never returned my calls. Since I trusted that they would work out something reasonable with me, since I was trying to be nice and not make them have to lose too much money on the deal - and since they took my contact information down wrong and did not e-mail me the documentation from the original reservation, as they were supposed to - I didnt cover my ass and dispute the charges with my credit card company right away - and now I cant do it. I would have only disputed part of it originally, because I didnt want them to be screwed out of the deal, but now I wish I had just disputed the whole thing, right away. Use these people at your own risk. I had another mechanic who would have installed the trailer hitch for me earlier, but I chose to go to U-Haul. I eventually found out that all of this was due to an error in how they shipped the hitch to the store - but they made a LOT of errors and mis-leading statements that contributed to this whole scenario.

Total rip off. They gave me a truck with the gas tank 1/4 full and said the fuel amount was noted. After I returned the truck (1/2 full mind you) I was still charged a $70 fuel fee since it was not full. Ive reached out numerous times, with photographic evidence of the fuel level upon pickup, and they still have not responded

I have used these folks for 20 years. Service is great, even when they are swamped. Installed a hitch on my Jeep Liberty and after several months, there was a glitch with the wiring. Brought it in, they looked at it immediately, found the glitch. fixed it and I was on my way.

Short handed. One men for all transactions. I waited like and hour for reservations that was booked already.

Helpful and Friendly staff. Not the best area though.

I scheduled a hitch install online. Even though they were surprised when the computer system didnt let them know about it in advance, they installed it without complaint in less time than the instructions predicted.
