One star is more credit than these guys deserve but zero stars isn’t an option. We used these guys years ago and the experience was horrible. I’m only adding the review now as they just ripped off two other friends of ours. My husband had had to leave the week before to start his new job leaving me to handle the movers on my own… First, they showed up over 4 hours late. I had scheduled them for the day to help me finish packing as well as load the truck we were using for our cross country move. There were three of them who did finally show up with no boxes- even though we paid for them and bad attitudes. They threw our stuff around and threw it in the truck with no rhyme or reason. They also parked their own truck right next to the one we were using and proceeded to load the valuable things they wanted into their own truck instead of ours. I was busy with a toddler and newborn at the time so I couldn’t see what was going on until it was too late. They then claimed that “nothing else would fit” and asked if they could just have the remaining items. When I said no, they proceeded to load them into their own truck anyway while I was preoccupied with my babies. Being unaware of what they’d done at that point, I did write them a check as a tip BECAUSE THEY LIED AND SAID I OWED THEM AT LEAST 5% of the total estimated fee. When I wrote the check for exactly that and handed it to the man requesting it; he got angry that it was the minimal amount and threw the trash he was carrying on the ground in my living room and stormed out. I was frantic. A friend’s husband who had watched part of what was happening came over to get the story of why they were loading so much stuff into their own truck. That was what I hadn’t realized yet. He then opened the truck trailer to find how they’d just thrown everything in it without boxes. He and another neighbor friend stayed up until 2 a.m. repacking everything for us. When I called to complain, the owner screamed at me that I got what I paid for and told me to f&@$ off. Not only that, but when I found out that the tip was not required; I cancelled the check through my bank. Three days later; one of them took it to a check cashing place to circumvent the bank’s stop payment. Had I not taken photos of what they’d done and the damage it caused; the dispute through the Better Business Bureau would have failed. After the Better Business Bureau lowered their rating based on my report; the business company proceeded to call and harass me for months. It was truly a nightmare. The two friends who used them went through similar experiences. Avoid this company like the plague!
