Love this Ace so much better than a big box store! When you are doing projects around the house you feel like you are talking to a actual person here. Like going to a friends to borrow a tool. Super helpful, and knowledgeable any time something breaks I’mover there.

Love shopping at this place. The employees are so friendly and helpful. Jimmy especially, made me feel like family. It’s not hard to find someone to help you and the employees are all eager to please. The store is clean and organized. I really enjoyed my experience here, will be back again!

Old Fashioned service is alive and well at Hessler Ace Hardware. This is the hardware store most of us grew up. The complete opposite of the big box hardware store experience. This store is packed to the brim with exactly what you need and a helpful staff member that knows where it is and what to do with it. Good prices, name brand stuff, knowledgeable staff, there isnt much more I could ask for. (maybe more parking)I visited to check out a Weber grill. Tried the big box store and also a grill store and was not happy with either. At Hessler, Jimmy showed me my options, offered free assembly and delivery in a few days, and put it all in writing. They exceeded my expectations when it was delivered early, the very next day!This isnt a big store but somehow fits a full Benjamin Moore paint store even with a pro-desk, a decorator center for window coverings, wall coverings, accessories, etc, they just installed a propane tank to offer refills versus swaps, they sell all the hardware store stuff, cut glass, repair screens, carry all major tool lines Yeti coolers, and so much more! They are also an Ace store so you have access to their website full of products not in stock that can be ordered etc.This place is the real deal and I hope they open other Ace locations in the future. Extra thanks to Jimmy, Dawn, and everyone else whom I didnt catch their names!

I love this place! Everyone is always so helpful and ready to assist you the minute you walk in the door. I’d much rather this store than any other big box store! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and right there for you anytime you need anything. It’s great to have a local feel in a hardware store again.

This place has everything! I dont mean they have a few of everything... I mean they have everything! And they can also match paint exactly! Forget Lowes and Home Depot this is where to go!

Great service! The cashier at the front of the store new where the item I was looking for was located. Towards the back of the store another clerk directed me to the product I was looking for.

Very helpful staff. When we couldnt find what we were looking for they gave us suggestions on where to look next. We had already gone to Lowes and HD where you couldnt find ANYONE to help you. This place is small and convenient. Usually they also have what we need but this visit we didnt have luck anywhere we went. Kudos to the staff for trying.

I’ve been to Hessler with excellent results. Recently I went there to find the screws to a hose backer I hadto install. The screws cost $.37 but needed an expensive drill to install properly. Jay offered to bring me his own drill from home instead of buying a new drill which I would rarely use. I borrowed the drill, went home and completed the job s less than two minutes.Jay was great, professional and instructive and friendly.. This is what customer service was back in the day and too often lacking today. Go into a big box store and see if they’ll do anything like this. Bravo to Jay and to Hessler!

Hessler family (owns this store) referred me their interior paint designer. I waited a month for her to come back from vacation, as she asked me. Then played the COVID card upon her return. Funny, she travelled and vacationed with no COVID concerns. What a joke, dont do business with this store or waste your time. Im sure they took that PPP government money though!!!!!

Snotty mean so not helpful people work there and the Hessler paint dept there same snoods. Its Delray people not Boca or Mizner get over it

This is my favorite hardware store. It has convenient hours and is near my home. But its best feature is the staff -- there is a lot of stuff crammed neatly into a small space, and they will help you find anything you need. Always friendly and willing to help. If I tell them what I want to accomplish, they suggest the right supplies to get it done. Their COVID protocols are excellent, too.

Just returned from a shopping experience that was extraordinary. Need wallpaper and was told that Hasslers has it all. How true. My wife and I were guided by Nancy and we discovered why we were recommended to go there. Instead of searching an unlimited number of books in the hunt and hopefully find manner, we showed a picture of the room to Nancy and with her extraordinary knowledge of inventory and an ample measure of good taste she presented multiple possibilities. We left excited by the samples we will soon receive that we would not have been able to find on our own and with the feeling that we have found the right place for getting outstanding wallpaper. We commend them to you.

This was my first experience at hessler paint in Delray I was helped by Dan hessler the store owner. He went above and beyond my requests and I will highly recommend this store to anybody looking for quality and great customer service. He handled the problem. frank his employee spent lots of time to match my color from scratch he got it spot on. Frank is an excellent person.

The customer service is impeccable! I shop there often and the staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. Just last week, I went into the store asking if they could “cut” some plastique vinyl sheeting for use to cover ceiling lighting. One of the workers, Jimmy, immediately offered to help me to see if the plastique sheeting could be cut. Exceptionally helpful, friendly and positive in his demeanor, Jimmy proceeded to “cut” the vinyl sheets without a hitch! I asked what I owed him, and his response was “nothing”! I thanked him very much for his kindness and fir being able to “cut” the vinyl sheeting.This hardware and paint store located on Atlantic Ave in Delray is the only hardware store I will shop! Everyone who works at Hessler Paint and Ace Hardware genuinely cares about their customers and always go the extra mile!Kudos to you!!👍

Just bought a Weber Genesis grill here and because I live across the street, I came back over to get some accessories. Since I live so close, I took my bike and backpack to shop. Apparently the store must be having some theft problems because they don’t trust their customers to have backpacks.I could understand if we were in a bad part of town but we are in west delray, I had a polo shirt and jeans on, and the backpack cost more than the grill. I typically like supporting family businesses as I’m an entrepreneur myself and I don’t mind paying a premium, but no I’m not going to let you keep my backpack while I shop because trust goes both ways.

I prefer Ace Hardware to Home Depot. Their staff are helpful and knowledgeable - but they dont have as many SKUs. I try going to ACE first. While it is a national company - each store is locally owned. In other words a small family business. They deliver and do curbside too!

What a great hardware store, no more Home Depot and Lowe’s for me. Very knowledgeable friendly staff, very good selection and it’s nice to patronize our smaller individually owned stores as opposed to a large conglomerate. They had disposable face masks and hand sanitizer in stock, something I haven’t seen for probably 2 months elsewhere. I will definitely be a regular customer at this establishment. Keep up the good work, it is refreshing to see.

I was a little disappointed.I went in to buy some hardware for my kitchen cabinets. Everyone was as usual super friendly and greeted me. I told the first guy what I had come in for and he walked me down to where the hardware guy was and explained to him what I needed. The gentlemen ( hardware guy) said ok and walked me down to the isle that the hinges and handles were. He said there you go as he pointed to a large 4 or 5 drawer display. Everything youll need is there and as he walked away he said just make sure youre getting the right size of everything. Really? I expected so much more from you! Well I went ahead and figured it out the best that I could. Ill be installing tomorrow so well have to see how I did! But come on Hessler give me a reason to do business with you! I paid 35.00 for 4 hinges and 2 handles plus some wood putty. As I left I couldnt help wondering if perhaps I would have done better going to home depot!

UPDATE: So Im happy and relieved to say that after this initial issue, I was able to dig through my records at home and figure out on what date I made my original purchase, I went back to the store as a last ditch effort before buying paint that I wasnt sure about and met an amazing employee of Hessler paint, his name is Francisco. Within 15 minutes he was able to pull up my receipt based on the transaction date, an idea of how much the receipt total was and some of the other items I had bought. Thanks to his excellent customer service and knowledge of their system the day was saved. He even printed off the old invoice/receipt so I could save for my records in case anything else from that day needed to be reordered. He made sure our rewards account was set up correctly to avoid any repeat issues in the future. I am a happy customer once again. Thank you Francisco!!!ORIGINAL: We bought paint here for our new house back in January shortly after they opened the second part of the store. Since we were buying a lot of paint I wanted to go grab additional swatches to keep in case I lost track or forgot which color we picked out down the road. The woman who had been assisting us asked me not to grab additional swatches because they would be able to look it up in the computer by our phone number or rewards number if that time came where we needed more. I believed her. She had a lot of difficulty operating the computer so she called someone over for assistance while she went and helped other customers, when everything was figured out we asked to double check that everything was in there and she assured us so. I’m now trying to buy more paint for touch ups, they have no record of our purchase history from 6 months ago, no saved paint swatches in our account, nothing. So now we get to go through several swatches and hope that we will find the right one to do touch ups, or more likely we will need to repaint the room if the color does not match.

Unlike the big two stores, there are actual people to help. Because I use a walker, the size and convenience was refreshing and comfortable. Although some things I needed were not yet available, I consider it a work in positive progress. I will return.

WOW. This may sound strange but I have to say that I have fallen in love with this store. When I visited it today they were a tad slow (perhaps 3-4 seconds) in greeting me and asking how they could help. I told them I was looking for something electrical and they directed me to the aisle -where a staff member miraculously was already waiting for me to help find the exact item I needed. I was in and out of the store and had enough time left for lunch in about the same time period it would have taken me to just find the right aisle in the competitors stores. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars. I started shopping there on opening day and have yet to find anything there that was less than 10 stars.

Dan Hessler, owner, is a person of the highest integrity, a quality we dont often encounter these days. Dan and his wife, Nancy, are courteous, professional, and efficient. Hessler Hardware went the extra mile to help me with my wallpaper order. I couldnt have received better service anywhere else.I cant recommend recommend Hessler Paint and Hardware highly enough. And one more thing - they actually answer the telephone!!

Wow. Wow. Right when I walked in I was asked can I be helped. I’ve been battling plumbing at my house and was so confused. Within FIVE MINUTES of walking in I was walking out with exactly what I needed - thanks to the personal attention of the staff. This is such a great Ace Hardware Im so happy that it open where it is because theres no Ace Hardware for miles it has everything a hardware store needs paint parts machines wires all of that but it has glued is gorilla tape it has gardening supplies pens thats so nice and the prices are pretty reasonable you can order online and send it to the store I would definitely say check it out for anything you need and things you dont think they have trust me its there!
