I bought my first Gibson Les Paul Standard and a fender deluxe tube amp here and it is absolutely amazing. This place used to be a photography store my dad went to a lot when he lived here and now it’s a beautiful guitar store. Josh was a huge help in getting me hooked up with the right amp/guitar combo and everything. Awesome spot, beautiful guitars, and some of the friendliest staff. I will definitely be back! I went here for the first time last night with my Dad, and it was an awesome shop. They were having a bluegrass jam, and I was able to check out their impressive collection of vintage guitars. They have a really impressive inventory of not just electric guitars, but also amps, effects, and acoustics. I cant wait to go back.

Cant speak highly enough. New store looks amazing & is full of high quality gear. However, the people working there are their biggest asset. Went there on Sunday & fiddled around for a little bit. Friendly stuff that is not trying to push you into buying anything. Purchased a used Gibson sg guitar. Took it home & re-strung it, but the setup was off. Went back to the store on Monday and the guitar tech set it up for me on the spot, free of charge! Now I have a new (to me at least) guitar that plays like butter, and a new favorite store in town!

I am just learning to play guitar on a Taylor guitar my dad loaned me. I broke a string (oops!) so I googled to find a guitar shop close by and found Big House. I’m SO glad I went here! The people were so nice and extremely helpful. I walked out in minutes with a new string on the guitar, a guitar actually in tune, and a lot of knowledge I didn’t have walking in. My dad was also very impressed by the quality and care they took with his guitar. Will definitely be going back here from now on!

Went to Big House for son’s 24th birthday present: his first ever guitar. Unfortunately this is not the place for that. If you’re not an experienced guitarist, expect to get dropped like a hot potato.

I had a tight window between my work hours and their closing time to get my vintage Gibson fixed before hitting the studio the next morning, was no problem for them. Nice dudes who do a great job at very reasonable pricing. I was even referred to them by a different shop. Nice selection of used Les Paul Studios at surprisingly reasonable prices upstairs. Downstairs, `70s-`00s Les Pauls in very clean condition. Nice, woody smell to the place. NOTE: Parking is in back! I didnt notice until I left, and parked parallel to the building in the driveway. TIP: Play repetitive blues licks on and on until they offer you a discount! Worked for me! ;-)

Without a doubt the best guitar shop in Atlanta. On entrance into the shop, you immediately feel welcomed, and the guys working there are chill, and down to Earth. I brought in a 1970 Byrdland to have it inspected, set-up and cleaned. I was not planning to trade it, but after a look around the inventory, I was blown away and ready to see what the shop could offer. Not only were the guys up to answering my many (probably silly) questions, but they were friendly and extremely professional. The owner is one of the nicest and most honest guys around. He gave me an excellent trade in value, and I left the shop with two killer guitars in excellent and near-mint condition. I rarely trade with shops, and it was a nice feeling not being low-balled under the ground, which is usually the case. The owner even took time to show me every guitar I had a question about, explaining all the specs in detail. The selection is breath-taking. You can find just about any dream-guitar you want in this shop at a price you fill find fair. These guys are the most honest people I have ever come across, and I’ve been to almost all the music shops in the area. You have to go and experience it yourself, because words cannot do the shop justice. It’s a lovely and cozy setting, with plenty of space to move around and look. If you want a pleasant buying experience of high end gear, this is the place to go.

I cant say that I have been in this place, and most likely will not ever visit, since the owners think its appropriate to use FOUL LANGUAGE in their Craigslist postings. My kids like to peruse the musical instruments ads on Craigslist, and I for one do not appreciate them being exposed to that kind of language on a public and FREE classifieds board. I am currently pursuing the matter with CL.

Ive been here before for some smaller purchases of tubes and some pedals/cables. Russ and everyone else will answer any questions and let you talk their ears off while youre there. They will take care of you, even if youre not buying a high-dollar vintage guitar. I got an Epiphone 335 that was on the lower end of price of what they stock, and they still bent over backwards by replacing the strings with a gauge of my choice and cleaning/polishing everything up free of charge. The guitar would have been a great deal on its own, and I had no idea that theyd restring and clean as part of buying a less expensive guitar.Great folks run the place, and they have amazing things in stock I could never afford. But theyll treat you like someone buying a high-dollar 54 Strat no matter what youre actually getting, and they really care about being a great local store. Im disappointed theyre moving to a farther location from me (though its great news theyre expanding) because I love being a half mile away, but theyre the perfect local guitar shop (and Ill still make sure to stop by there).I will say they dont necessarily have the highest selection of pedals if thats what youre looking for, but the ones they do have are interesting. Theyll let you try anything out (even a $10k+ guitar) on the amps they have (also a very interesting selection) without batting an eye. Their focus seems much more on higher end/vintage guitars and amps than beginner level instruments, but the other stuff in shop is still a good selection.If youre able to get in here, do yourself a favor. Its a great local shop with some awesome stuff and people.

Very cool vintage guitar shop with an impressive selection. When I first walked in I was welcomed by Russ, the owner from his desk. he was very approachable and knowledgeable. Laid back vibe and just good guys you will want to hang out with.I have been back to this place a few times now and the pros downstairs set up an old Yamaha acoustic I had sitting around the house - made it sound/play better then ever before for my son. They did a great job and treated it like gold (these guys take the craft seriously).The entire place is well done.Great experience.

Today was my first time stopping by, mainly just to look and see what the place was about. The people working were super friendly and personable. They invited me to play any guitar hanging on the wall, and to make myself at home. I ended up staying the better half of an hour shooting the bull with some of the people there. If more guitar shops were like this place, guitar center would be out of business.
