Outstanding. Very chic and suave. From the appetizers to desserts it was a wonderful experience. The main courses and dinks were fantastic. Groovy music to go along with the tv screens showing a variety of shows including a fireplace was neat. Attentive service but not annoying by the waitstaff was appreciated. Ample parking. Will go again.

One of the best restaurants in Danbury. Can not even be compared to any of the other Italian restaurants in the area. We have tried cheeses, appetizers, and a few main courses. Everything was great. We are very happy to find this place and will certainly be coming back many more times!

A gem in the rough. I certainly didnt expect anything nearly as great as this place was. Everything was prepared perfectly. Right down to the penne served with my veal parm. A very nice wine list, reasonably priced. Staff was small, seating limited due to Covid, but staff was attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely go back.

We love the service at Mazzos. The pizza we got was spectacular! We did have an issue twice with the stromboli. The dough inside was completely raw. I spoke with the owner, he gave us a seconds stromboli for free. That had raw dough also. The reason I am giving 5 stars is because this is a local business that CARES!!! Not everything is perfect all of the time. I am so impressed with the response I received from the owner. This is a pizza place you definitely want to try!! They care about their customers!!! Thank you.

Excellent food. Tapas are wonderful. Attentive staff. Was there again last Sunday. We shared 5 Tapas including 4 baby rib lamb chops and a good bottle of Chardonnay. Since it was Sunday, the wine was half price. Total check was only $69 including tax. A great meal at an unbelievable price.

Food was delicious tonight. The only thing they always do is charge for a double gin & tonic $12.00!!! When all my husband asked for was a tall glass and told the waiter he didn’t want a double just more tonic. He told the waiter about it when the bill came, didn’t matter. This is the 3rd time this happened 🤔

Went for brunch. Bottomless mimosas and they bring bread to your table! They had a dj and the ambience is modernly superb. I loved this place

We usually come for brunch so thats why I put 4 stars being that the brunch menu isnt super exciting at all. We usually order off of the regular menu which is yummy! Alejandro always remembers our crew, by name and we appreciate him! Its your choice of bottomless mimosas, bellinis or bloody Marys and you can interchange however you please!

This place was incredible!!!! The food was amazing and the drinks were even better! Its like a club and brunch all in one! This place is beautiful and the staff is very nice. The Bellini with the sparkler was such a cool experience and probably was my favorite part.

As stated in the previous comment, this was the most stressful brunch we have ever been to. It’s unfortunate because we had a pretty good experience here previously but this past time was just completely awful from every aspect ! We ordered food which took forever so we asked about it and an HOUR later the waiter says “oh I’m sorry we don’t have your food anymore, also you guys are cut off bottomless until you order food” so not only did we sit there with no food for over an hour because apparently the waiter didn’t have the common sense to tell us our food was not available within a reasonable time frame for us to order something else, but we were also being cut off because it’s a liability for us to continue drinking. The owner was a complete failure at his job after we asked to speak to him. The bill came all together when we had about 15 people and refused to split it. Just awful ! Do not waste your time.

Probably the most stressful brunch I was ever invited too! It was a birthday brunch reservation for 22 people and when 20 of us arrived, they didn’t have enough seats for the party. When some of our party sat at an empty NON RESERVED table we were told we can’t sit there and that we needed to figure it out. Offering to stand, the gentlemen that said he was the owner didn’t seem to care and refused to serve me and the 6 friends that were told to”move and figure it out”. I’ve been here for about an hour now and the seats where we got comfortable are still available. Unreal how the situation was handled. I do not recommend coming here unless your party of 22 will fit in a corner booth and small table. Won’t be returning.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this place really impressed our party. We walked in Saturday night with a party of 7. No reservation and we’re expecting to wait. They told us about 25-30 minutes but seated us at a beautiful table in 10 minutes! The decor is really nice, upscale yet casual.. we were greeted in a timely manner by our server Sara, who was fantastic all night. The ladies in our group enjoyed their craft cocktails while we loved their beer line up. These guys know how to do Italian food. We started off with 2 pizzas and “The Meatball” for the table which was large and in charge. I had the double cut NY Strip and shared the penne Demico with my partner. I know the sign says mozzarella and wine bar but the steak was one of if not the best I’ve had in this area! Management made sure to check on every table in the restaurant which we think is fantastic, dealing with people and their food I believe feedback is important. Will positively be back with new friends!

First off let me tell you people that Im a chef and the only reason I raised them with a 1-star is because of a couple situations one I sat there waiting almost half an hour after my appetizer for her to come back and even take out full course meal then ask for steak rare now thats not hard to make I had it well done sent it back when I finally got the steak back about 15 minutes later after complaining I had a dead fly on my plate now thats to me not proper. I sent that back now I have to wait another 10 minutes now we finally get the stake situation taken care of my fiance or is a couple topless when she finally gets the topless she had the muscles now usually is the muscle stay closed theyre no good everyone knows that so we had about 30 to 40 muscles on her plate and are kappas was half the muscles with no meat no muscle in it and the other has was closed how would you still have the nerve to serve that to someone let alone not fix anything on the bill I asked to speak to the owner she said hes too busy to talk to you right now let me know and Ill make sure to let him know wow talking about customer service I had the lobster ravioli and half of them were almost Frozen come on this is ridiculous

Went for a going away gathering for co-workers during happy hour. Apps were 5 dollars each and tasted very good. We had wings (each was large), pizza and loaded nachos. Drinks nicely priced as well and the bartender did a decent job of keeping up with everyone.

What a great atmosphere. Clean, with a modern but yet old school twist. Staff is friendly, and happy to serve you. The owners are very diligent on keeping up with good service and the customers experience. It doesnt matter if you are coming for brunch, lunch or dinner, there is something you can have that will make you leave with a full belly and a smile on your face. Cannot say enough good things about this place.

I had my sweet 16 at their banquet upstairs and their food is definitely great. However, the party was supposed to end at 10:30 and they started cleaning up between 9 and 9:30. My guests started to leave early because of this.

Excellent spot for Italian food. The mozzarella varieties are incredible. Love that they offer the option to sub zucchini noodles in any pasta dish.

We came here for our kids wrestling banquet for New Fairfield. Place is brand new and looks beautiful. The banquet was a buffet and normally the food is average at most buffets but the food was actually quite delicious. Fresh and tasty. Would definitely come back for dinner!

Definition of bottomless: having no bottomThat is the definition taken from Merriam-Webster. Now imagine ordering something that had no bottom but, you found the bottom. That was our experience at Mazzo.We were then argued with and told, they came to our table and filled our drink many times. Nope, just once. That one time, was the first time..when it was ordered. They didnt even fill our water or come by to ask how our food was. The food was good, actually great, but guess what...you didnt ask us once so we couldnt tell you because the waiter was no where to be found.Now if he happened to come over to us and say Hey, I am sorry, I got really busy with the other table and couldnt come over -- SURE. Well take it you were honest. But nope. The waiter walked over and told us that we were asked for help many times, by him. Nope not once. He took our order. Brought our food. Then brought our check (and argued with us) then left so we saw him again. He came back to argue with us.Yikes.

Had brunch today and it was horrible. Steak was ordered med rare and came out well done and eggs were over cooked. Ordered bottle and was supposed to be bottomless but after 1 you have to pay more its a scam. Never again save your money

Service was really slow.. food tasted bland. Most recommend needing chef Ramsey’s help!According to the waiter the kitchen can’t handle cooking for the restaurant and the hall at same time, causing us to wait about hour and a half to get our meals but we’re quick to give the bill.. terrible service and deeply do not recommend coming here..

My girlfriend and I have been to Mazzo multiple times and we always had a pleasant experience. The food, selection of wine and service is always outstanding. Gabriel has been our server for the last couple times and he went above and beyond to provide us an excellent service, and the cannoli dessert was amazing! We love this place and highly recommend it.

I have eaten here many many times. Its also been good with decent service. I went this past Saturday at 11:30 for brunch. There were 4 other tables. One large.2 servers. IT WAS NOT THAT BUSY! 35 minutes to get an avocado with eggs and a cheese quesadilla. Asked 3x for a high chair. Got up twice on the hunt for the waiter. It was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had any where. The take out bag was tossed down on the table at me when returned it. He never said a word to us. But when I was given the check he was back in 3 minutes to see if it was ready. No it was not!! No thank yous, nothing. The other server (not ours) would inquire to us. I have never in my life left less than a 15% tip. I did Saturday!

Disappointing experience to say the least. I have dined here many times before and unfortunately will not be returning. I have been working in the service industry for 10 years and can confidently say Mazzo’s has lost my business. The quality of the food was dissatisfying, lacking flavor, and the presentation of the dishes were inadequate. We were brought dead and broken mussels, which looked like they were just splattered on the plate and very sloppy. Only 3 mussels eaten. When we had asked to speak to a manager, no one ever came to the table. Working many different positions in a restaurant, this is highly unacceptable. Our server said “thanks for the feedback” and did not even take the plate away! Just left a disgusting dish in front of us to just stare and not even offer to get of something else off the menu, which we may have enjoyed more. I understand that Sunday Bruch is very busy, but the fact we stated we didn’t like the dish and still had to pay for it really left a sour taste in our mouth. Not only that, all of our food was auctioned off, the food runners had no idea where they were going and multiple times brought wrong food. We watched it go to other tables, back into the kitchen and probably left there to die and brought to some other table. Yuck! We were brought bread initially, and charged $10 for “garlic bread”. We didn’t ask for the bread, happily ate it but did not expect to pay $20 for two loaves of bread which maybe were considered garlic bread or mis-rang. Highly unsatisfying experience!

Came for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place was very nice and quiet. Exactly what I wanted for brunch. All of the sudden a DJ comes out and starts blasting EDM. It was so loud that I could not hear the person next to me. Had to cut my brunch very short

Food was good service not so much... Asked the waiter whether the scallops were wet or dry simple question ... Waiter gave me attitude... The mozz sampler was good lacked extra toast points... Ordered a glass of the most expensive cab... Waiter asked me if Id like another ... Failed to bring it to me and brought us the check... Sad when the foods great and the service doesnt do it any justice 2 🌟

I have mixed feelings about this place. It takes a while to get the food but the food is usually pretty good.Never use Doordash to order from here it almost never arrives on time and it is usually cold and wrong. If you really want it go to the restaurant.

Good location, excellent food, very friendly staff. If they trained their staff to clean the table after each dish, so that one doesnt end up having to put the creme brulee on top of the calamari fritti plate because there is no more room on the table, the place would get a shiny 5 stars review.

I dont live in Danbury, but come there for work a few times a year.Have been here a few times over the last 3 years because my local coworkers like it to take out visitors of every level. Affordable enough for us regular Joes and fancy enough for the VPs. Always get the meat and cheese plate for an appetizer and the Gnocchi Bolgnese is my favorite.About $40-50 a person for dinner if you have a drink or two with tip.Recently had to call them because I lost my receipt from a visit two months ago to do an expense report and they dug it up without the slightest bit of annoyance. Stand up staff. Cant wait to go back!.

Came for Sunday brunch with a group for a birthday. Server messed up my order and brought me the wrong food. I ate it still and it was good though. Just not what I ordered. Also no one, and I mean no one was given the yogurt and granola with their brunch order. No complimentary bread either.Id say service is not great but food is good.

Really enjoyed coming to Mazzo. I had the Roasted Salmon and my friend had the Penne Ala Vodka with Chicken. Environment was clean, everything was neat, and staff was friendly. I would say pricing was also a pro. Would most definitely come back and will be sure to recommend to friends and family.

Came here for Sunday brunch and this place is usually great service but today our service was not great, our waitress Tara never came over to our table once to asked if everything was ok nor did she asked if I wanted refills on the bottomless drinks, the only time she came to our table was to give us our check. We would definitely go back because food is good, but if she there on my next visit I will ask for a new waitress or waiter!

Variety of rich, fresh desserts; exotic mudslide to tiramisu. Excellent, pricey wine list; good house wine is reasonably priced.Table service, bar, patio, private rooms for groups. You will have s good time.

Met a friend for lunch recently. I ordered their baby lamb ribs with rosemary seasoning. It was amazingly good. Service was excellent and friendly. Will definitely return.

Went to the bar tonight to order food to go. Ordered a pizza for tonight and chicken sandwich for lunch tmo. Waited 40 min for the food, and when I got my pizza it was already cold. The pizza would have been great but it was cold. Thats unacceptable. I would have waited 40 min for a good hot pizza. Not a decent cold pizza. They should probably try and do better

They lost our reservation, so we had to wait for a table to free up. The waitress was not very attentive. It took over an hour for the food to be brought to the table. Most at the table ordered brunch but didnt get the included items. Asked for a small substitution and was shrugged off. Food was good, albeit oddly prepared.

We stopped in Friday for a quick bite. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the filet mignon panini, it was delicious. It had a balsamic reduction and a little gorgonzola cheese. I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back.

Came for brunch and ordered steak and eggs medium rare. It was 45min to get food that came out cold and rare. Also it was NY strip but mostly fat. Only one egg was given too. Not worth the $20 at all. Left hungry and had to eat elsewhere. Waiting staff was good but the kitchen and portions are horrible.

We started with the mozzarella sampler -almost a meal in itself and delicious! we couldnt decide so we split a pizza and veal parm dinner. the veal was so tender it melted in your mouth! The pizza was very tasty too!

A fantastic restaurant with an extensive menu and delicious food and a perfect banquet space to hold an intimate or large event. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and your event guests will be talking about the food long after the event has ended.
