I was at Lowe’s and almost bought this fan there but my wife says Home Depot has it for $10 cheaper. So I go to Home Depot ( who says there’s 19 in stock) and the guy told me if they’re not on the shelf than we don’t have any as he walked away. I went to customer service and tried to buy one and as she verified 19 in stock she proceeded to tell me “well if he told you we don’t have any than we don’t have any” So what your meaning to tell me is that someone messed up and there’s almost $2700 in missing fans? So I called Home Depot and the phone just rings and rings…I did that twice. I was a die hard Home Depot customer but I’m gonna have to change to start going to Lowe’s. That a risky game Home Depot is playing especially since Loews is only across the street.EDIT…. I sat in the store and ordered it online and guess what!!!! A few short hours later my order was ready for pick up! How nice is that! Instead of just going to check the back you guys made me order it online and pick it up in a few hours! Thanks for wasting my time! Great customer service!

Worst. Service. Ever. We ordered an appliance to be delivered and installed, we were given a 4 hour window and made arrangements to our schedule to be present during that time. When the day came, we were contacted by the delivery personnel that they were delivering 3 hours earlier than scheduled. OK, we figured that could work so we altered our schedule to accommodate. Upon arrival we were informed that they were only dropping off the appliance, and we had to contact the store again to schedule the actual installation! Seriously? So now we have a large box sitting in the middle of our kitchen and will need to yet again schedule another person to come and finish the job. Ridiculous. Save yourself, if you need to buy an appliance DO NOT do so from Home Depot. There are many other retailers out there who will provide you with better service, hard to think how it could be worse!

I will never be purchasing anything from Home Depot again. We ordered a brand new oven, it was installed...a week later when I tried to boil a pot of water, after waiting over a half hour the water was only simmering. Contacted Home Depot, the lady said its no problem but the department was closed and we would have to call the next day to set up an exchange. Called the next day and they said there is a 48 hour return period in which to report damage. WHAT?! 2 days?! This is unacceptable, especially when the person we ordered the oven with did not mention this and the delivery/installers did not mention this. They wanted to send out a repair for the oven, which would have taken over a week, and it was not damaged, this is the design of the oven. There are multiple reviews stating the same thing. They refused to allow us to exchange it with a different oven. Terrible customer service.

I have never gone to that branch of Home Depot, but I have gone to others and they are very good. But I saw workers coming from there, and going to work there, the place always looks very busy. A lot of stocks outside for many out door occasion so I assume inside is more greater, I saw customers always so busy outside. I believe Home Depots are very good businesses. They attend to costumers very good. Hoping for them the best.

I was at CT Danbury HomeDepot to buy some garden materials. They made a mistake and overcharged me more than $800 on my credit card. I went there so many times (weekends, after work time, work time) to solve this issues. I was told the refund had been processed (it showed it was refunded on 10/04/2021 on the HomeDepot computer record) and I should get the credit between three and seven days. However, I didnt get the credit within the promised time frame. Thats why I had to keep going there to speak with customer service representatives. On 10/18/2021, I went there again (actually between 10/04/2021 and 10/18/2021, I already went there many times), the customer service guy told me the manager was not at the store and he left a note and promised me someone will call me the next day morning to help solve the issue. On 10/19/2021, I waited till almost noon but nobody called me. So I called the store, a lady picked up my call and told me that my refund request had been forwarded to the store bookkeeper by the manager. When I asked if I could talk to the manager, I was told the manager was not at the store. Then I asked if I could talk to the bookkeeper, I was told the bookkeeper was not at the store either. Then I asked if I could talk to someone, she said she will try and put me on hold. After being on hold and listening to the music for almost 40-50 minutes on the phone, I got no customer services greeting anymore. I was very upset so I hang up the phone and drove to the Danbury HomeDepot directly. I saw the guy who left the note for me and he caught the manager who just passed by. This time, the manager stayed in front of the computer, made some phone calls, worked for almost 20-30 minutes and gave me the credit back to my credit card (by the way, it is still in process and not back into my credit card at the time I am writing this story. this may take some time, I fully understand). After that, I complained to her (the manager) how I was treated on the phone and I didnt believe there was no manager, no bookkeeper working onsite for such a big store. She said she was one of the four associate managers at the store. She asked me who talked with me on the phone and I said I dont know because I didnt ask the customer service representatives name. Then she said it was my fault because I should ask the representatives name at the very beginning. When I asked why my refund had not been taken care of for such a long time, she said it was taken care of and processed, but the refund went to someone elses credit card not mine. However, I dont believe her explanation based on the answers I got from the customer service each time. Then, I asked for some compensation because I spent too much time and made so many trips to the store for this. We had argument and disagreement regarding how much I should be compensated. She then left a note on the computer about this and promised me that the Danbury HomeDepot manager Scott will call me tomorrow (10/20/2021) because he works from 6 am to 5 pm on 10/20/2021. I said fine then I left. Now it is 10:45 pm 10/20/2021. I didnt receive any phone call from the Danbury HomeDepot. I feel very disappointed for the ways they handle the issue and treat the customer(s). If tomorrow I still do not receive any phone calls from the manager, I will file a complaint to the HomeDepot Headquarter directly.

Purchased 5 shelf storage unit. After opening, we discovered that it must have bwen a prior return as parts were missing and shelving scuffed up and marred. Very frustrating and we had to return the same day for refund. Home Depot should not put damaged/incomplete products back in store for sale.

Clean store, easy to shop at. Even better employees! Shout out to Bobby G. in the wood / lumber department. He came up to us and was so friendly, warm, and inviting. Bobby was so patient with my needs (and many questions/super indecisiveness, etc.)! He was so knowledgeable and gave me suggestions for the project I was doing — which turns out are amazing.... thanks to him!!!! Such a big help and so nice of him to measure and cut my wood for me perfectly. I even told him I liked the “knotty” look, and he sorted through all the boards for the perfect ones! Will be back in hopes to be helped by him for all future wood involved projects.😊😊

Doesn’t take Apple Pay. Which in my book makes it 1 Star. Their plant selection is always dying outside, always golden pothos inside. Lowe’s section is way better for garden. Goodluck finding an employee that isn’t already busy with 3 people.

As a maker, I end up at Home Depot often. I dont know how they manage it, but the staff always seems to know exactly where an item is. They have a decent return policy and a good selection of things I need. Best place to go for a quick fix when I forgot something I needed for a job.

FIVE STARS - Kudos and a HUGE thank you to Ray from the appliance department at the Danbury Home Depot location and thank you to Maria too for following through in helping me in this most frustrating situation. I received EXCELLENT customer service; Ray was wonderful and found the problem and corrected it immediately. Thank you! Thank you!FOR HOME DEPOT CORPORATE: I purchased a GE Laundry Center online from the Home Depot. The appliance was delivered and IMPROPERELY installed by contracted, FGO Logistics ( ZERO STARS for FGO LOGISTICS !) . The two men were rushed, not helpful, and did not ensure that they had installed the appliance correctly. They yanked a shelf off the wall pulling the screws out of the wall with the anchors and all - leaving holes in my laundry room wall. I called the company and they were not apologetic and said theyd send the men out in four days- I DID NOT WANT THE SAME MEN back in my home - no confidence. I then called the Danbury CT Home Depot as noted above and received excellent service correcting an improper install. ADVICE: ditch FGO Logistics - if other consumers have purchases delivered by this company be very careful! However, know that the Danbury Home Depot will be sure to assist. AGAIN, thank you Ray and Maria!

We had a disagreement involving a military discount. The front end clerk was abrupt and refuse to listen or make any changes. After several days I decided to return to the store and asked to speak with a manager. Maud was working the store that evening. After discussing the issue with me, Maud decided to issue the discount. We were please and therefore, the store deserves the rating we gave for going the extra mile to satisfy the Customer. Thank you T.H.D.

Bought flooring and they came to drop of days before and the delivery guy says he won’t bring in off the pallet and just dropped a pallet of wood flooiring at front of my condo. So I have a pallet of flooring outside which is supposed to be inside to get acclimated to my house temp for 48 hours according to the people (Home Depot) who delivered it to outside my condo I’m wrapped up in a pallet that’s unable to move. COMPLETELY UNSATISFACTORY

I do not go here often so I will simply comment on my last visit to the paint department. Everyone there was very friendly and knowledgable about the right paints and varnishes for the projects I was working on. Customers were practicing social distancing and wearing masks. The staff there took all the time needed to explain the ins and outs of the products we were considering and how they might work with certain woods.

The selection and prices you’d expect at a Home Depot. I went here because of their rental department - I needed an orbital sander to refinish my hardwood floors. Robert was GREAT and although I had done lots of research beforehand (this was my first time doing it), he validated what I learned by patiently explaining the differences between the types of sanders, how much sand paper I’d need, and some tips and tricks for what I was about to undertake.He helped me load my car and I was on my way.When I returned it the next morning, he asked how the project went, then proceeded to provide more advice on the next part he knew I was tackling next - staining & sealing.If you’re heading to their rental department, ask for Robert - he’s top shelf.

HD, in Brookfield messed up my delivery. They delivered one third of what the should have. I then wasted two hours trying to get in touch with them. They phone system would put me in a queue and then hang up. So I tried the text system, after 15 minutes it told me to call the store.I ended up driving to the store to fix the issue. Hugely frustrating and a waste of time.

Home Depot has changed their self check out registers necessitating the use of a barcode scanning gun. They have eliminated the hands free scanning platform from these registers. At the very least, they need wipes or hand sanitizer to use these guns.

This is the biggest, most enthusiastic one-star rating I will ever give. YEARS of horrible - just really horrible, incompetent, and rude customer service. I shop online or at Lowes down the road when I can (much better service there, and *they wear masks*), but my home was installed with some HD proprietary products, my contractor uses them, and I occasionally get a gift certificate to use on birthdays and things. Hands down, the least satisfactory service and products I will ever have to experience.

Though they have a few good employees, the company as a whole has no regard for customer service whatsoever. I have gone above and beyond what I should need to do in order to get my money back. The experience was less than pleasant. The store is not complying with covid 19 guide lines. Everyone was forced to stand in line in aisle 6 to make purchases while other people were standing on top of them shopping in aisle 6. Customers are forced to wait in line with people on top of you less than 12 inches away. I attempted to speak to one of the employees but they Ignored me and walked away.

I never got an email for my online order so I didnt have the confirmation number. I was told they have no way of looking up orders by name. The customer service manager was rude and I must have made a mistake and never ordered anything. I called up home depot customer service from the parking lot and was able to confirm my order. Low and behold the item was sitting two feet from the lady who refused to go look for it in the first place. It had my last name in HUGE letters.

Checkout at the Danbury store was ridiculous. Single congested line in aisle 6. To get to the back of the line you have to squeeze through a long crowd. I tried to socially distance while I shopped, but was forced to break all Covid rules if I wanted to get in line. I chose to abandon my items and go to Lowes.

NEVER order window blinds at Home Depot. Its been close to an year now that I ordered blinds for my entire house (its an expensive order) and its only partially done. Home Depot works with a 3rd party vendor to get measurements and installation and you are on your own contacting the third party vendor to get your installation scheduled and follow up. The guy who came to take measurements messed up with some of the measurements, so my installation was done only partially. For the last 9 months, I have been following up with Home Depot to get the blinds for one of my French door and another bed room and finally got replacements delivered only a couple of weeks ago, now Im trying to chase the vendor and their mailbox is full and they dont pick up calls. I cant understand how a major store can work like this. This is so painful. I strongly recommend you should use a local place instead of using Home Depot for these purposes. Again, its been close to an year and Im still waiting for all my valances and blinds for a French door. Pathetic. If Home Depot cant do these by themselves, they should close down that section.
