Stopped in here and met Pam, who was truly fantastic. She gave us an amazing amount of info about the store, the village, and shops around the area. It was a treat coming here and there is such an amazing selection of books that we will be back again many times. Knowing the store mission makes us even more excited to buy there. I was walking around downtown Crystal Lake with my wife and daughter when we saw this used bookstore I hadnt ever noticed before. We decided to walk in since I have been looking for some more business / marketing books to read.I was extremely impressed with how clean everything was (used bookstores can carry a stigma), and I was pleased with the amount of books in the store. The volunteer was extremely kind, we enjoyed some conversation. My wife and daughter played in the kids section in the back, which I thought was awesome they even had.The prices were acceptable, and I feel good paying what they are asking knowing that used books were being put to good use. My only bummer is that they have a huge section devoted to fiction. I would like to have seen more in other areas but I understand they are working with what they are donated.

The place feels so welcoming and has a lot of titles that I wouldnt expect to see at a smaller bookstore. The people there are friendly, and the whole place is a benefit to the community its in.

This is a used book store plus. It raises money for the environment. Its very nicely setup. We will go back.

The owner was super kind and super helpful. I was looking for a book for my boyfriend and she asked about his interests and pulled all sorts of books out to help me pick. Love that the store is sustainable too.

Wonderful, environmentally friendly and people friendly place. Located in historic downtown Crystal Lake. 2 city parking lots nearby, plus on-street parking. I bought some gifts there in December. Story time too! Whats not to love?

This is a great place to find interesting books especially if youre looking for a gift.

Store had already closed but the volunteer working still let me pop in and buy a book. Everything is resale but I didn’t know that until I was checking out because the books look so brand new. I was shocked when she told me the price was $3.50.
