Tim at Caliber Collision was so very helpful. He kept me informed with what was happening with my car and would contact my insurance company. I never had to call to get info. He would call before I had a chance to wonder. I picked up my car 10-30-2021 and it looks great. They were very quick to work with the insurance company to repair the damage to my bumper and get my car back to me promptly. Everyone I talked with was pretty friendly and professional ready to answer my questions and concerns as well as explain to me how to take care of my vehicle to make sure the freshly painted repaired bumper doesnt fade in its lustrous color.

Bait and switch - not transparent with process!I have a brand new car (month old) and it has taken two weeks to get parts (I understand that completely). I called for an estimate, agree to have them do the work, they order parts, I called and follow up with making arrangements to drop off car for repairs. Then they mention they are 3 weeks out and cant get me on the schedule until then (so I guess tough, drive around with a crack up car). Honestly if that were the case why was I not scheduled 2 1/2 weeks ago when I called. Very upsetting. My first instinct should have been with the lady (Angela) who was very short on the phone when I originally called.Customer service not their priority:(

Emily and Jason did a great job communicating with me throughout the entire process. Their GM was very kind and professional as well. The quality here was great, no surprise. My siblings have brought their cars here before and loved it. The rental process was easy and helpful as well. Definitely recommend this shop and will always come back if have to. I have a late model Subaru. They repaired the car from a rear end collision. Caliber was very closely coordinated with my insurance company and made the whole process including car rental, pickup and drop over very simple, easy smooth quick. Emily (the office manager) is just excellent in anticipating whats needed and making it happen. The work was done early, done well and I was constantly aware of what was happening. The new shop (Crystal Lake) is very well laid out and setup.

I never thought Id become a regular at an auto body shop......but here I am! When I was rear ended about a year ago I made the decision to bring my car to Caliber and I was really pleased with how communicative and kind they were. They also did a wonderful job on my car. First of all THANK YOU Caliber Collision for such a great service. My wife got into a accident on Friday @ 3 pm (everyones safe). I called my insurance right away to start the claim. They sent me a big list of shops near me and after 30 min research I decided to go with Caliber. Its 5:30 pm which I called the shop to schedule a drop off appointment; it went to the voice mail which I expected since they close @ 5:30 pm. 15 min later they called me back (surprise!!) and the gentlemen said he was about to leave the shop and go home when he noticed the voice mail. He could have easily ignored the voice mail and call me back on next Monday but instead he went above and beyond and called me after hour on Friday. He schedule us for Monday 9 am drop off. My wife dropped of the car on Monday morning and picked up the loaner. Super easy process and well organized! Based on my previous experience with other well-known body shops I assumed they would need at least 3-4 weeks to get the job done. However, we got our car back in less than 10 days!!During the whole process Caliber staffs have been super nice and update us every other day. On the pick up day we also noticed that they polished/buffered the whole car which was very nice and kind of them.these guys are AWSOME!!I would recommend them with 100% confident.

My experience with Caliber Collison was an excellent one. They kept me informed of my car progress. Everyone was very professional and friendly.

My daughter was in an accident and all they did was the body work! Nothing mechanical! Until one week later her car finally stopped & she ended up in a garage. She was told she had a mess in the engine, many leaks & not drivable! Had it towed to caliber to have them finally get to the inside of the car which they neglected in the first place. They couldn’t find any leak and told my daughter it was fine!!! WHAT?! I myself saw the leak after the accident! It was still leaking!! How does this place stay in business if they can’t even be honest!! We had the car towed to an actual mechanic who found the leak and several issues right away that were caused by the accident! STAY AWAY!!

WHY WOULDNT THEY FOLLOW UP WITH AN EMAIL DURING THIS TIME?. THEY HAD MY EMAIL..ANSWER: FIRE & FORGET CULTURE HERE. THEY JUST DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER.I SUBMITTED ONLINE AGAIN FOR THEM TO REACH OUT ABOUT SCHEDULING. I PUT DOWN ON THEIR FORM THAT PREFERRED CONTACT METHOD IS EMAIL AND SO THEY NEVER EMAILED ME BACK. INSTEAD THEY CALLED AGAIN AND LEFT A MESSAGE. WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT AGAIN? EVENTUALLY I SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER HUBERT. HE RESPONDED THAT CORPORATE DOESNT FORWARD PREFERRED CONTACT METHODS TO THE SHOP AND THAT THERE IS A COMMUNICATION DICONNECT BETWEEN CORPORATE AND SHOPS. HUBERT DID CONFIRM THAT THEY DO HAVE MY EMAIL ON MY PROFILE. ----> IT BEGS TO QUESTION AGAIN: WHY WOULDNT THEY JUST EMAIL ME THEN SINCE THEY HAVE IT?ANSWER: AGAIN....FIRE AND FORGET CULTURE. THEY JUST DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER. THEY JUST CARE ABOUT A CHECKMARK. I..E WE CALLED AND LEFT A VOICEMAIL. Abra (now Caliber Collision) repaired my vehicle as quickly as they said they would. They handled everything with the insurance, so I didn’t have to worry about it. The whole staff was super friendly and went above and beyond with their customer service. I’ll be bringing my business to them from now on!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Caliber collision is a horrible company. AVOID DO NOT GO HERE. I got rear ended and Geico insurance recommended this company. Estimator did not write up half of the damage and then after quickly submitting the estimate (so that it cannot he changed) they blame me for saying the clear damage from the accident was previous damage. They ended up laughing at us and then hung up. They clearly excluded the damage on purpose, in my opinion. Both the estimator and the manager were unhelpful. They obviously work for Geico and not the customer.

Best place to go for repairs. They will go above and beyond to make sure youre happy.

After getting hit on the way to work, I was asked by the other drivers insurance company who I wanted to repair my cars damage. I immediately thought of Abra in Crystal Lake, IL because my brother-in-law, Steve Fordham, and a friend, Michael Huffman, have both had service work done and recommended them! Abra provided great customer service from the moment I called on the phone to set up a time to bring the car in, as well as, a phone call with updates. The repair work was done in a timely manner and prompt. I recommend Abra in Crystal Lake 100%! Thank you, Abra for your excellent customer service and car repair services!

I was in one accident that cost me four trips to ABRA and hundreds of dollars in a rental vehicle.They originally told me the initial repairs would take 3 days, and they ended up taking 3 weeks! Once I got the car back, I noticed a smell in my car caused by a leak from an open hole ABRA left when completing the work. I have also noticed rust on my year-old vehicle because of their low quality work and lack of attention. They do not care about their customers, they care about doing as little work as possible to make money. I would never recommend this ABRA location to anyone; they give a poor name for the company as a whole.

Took the car to this location and was explained that the estimate would take a day and that we should leave the car here and get a rental. So far it was fine.They called a guy from Lyft to take us to the rental car. Our destination ended at a Holiday Inn, with no explanation or info where we were going and who to talk to or ANYTHING.Just assigned us a random Lyft driver to take us to the horizon only to come back and get the keys back with some sass from their female desk worker like were not right to be upset over the lack of communication they had.Turns out they didnt even follow up with our insurance to register a rental or anything at all. They need to pay more attention to their clients and well inform them.I clearly speak English so I have no clue as to why they needed to call over a shop worker to translate, b.s.Oh and the only white towel I left has gone missing, hope they use it to clean whatever the mess is they have with being professional.Share

I like this location better than the algonquin one. staff here is very professional and timely. all the work is very polished. all my items in the car was placed in an abra tote bag. I received my car washed and clean with complimentary mini tire pressure gauge and mints. whether it is through insurance or self pay, service is impeccable.

Stole a Pandora Bracelet out of a small hidden side compartment under vent... My vehicle had rear end damage and Geico insurance recommended this shop. I would never recommend a place that has criminals working for them. No matter how nice you are when you apologise for the inconvience, the fact of the matter is someone in the shop has sticky fingers and is hiding behind the standard contract of not responsible for lost or stolen items. also, this is one of the shameless excuses given to me..ready for it.... That Men dont know what a Pandora Bracelet is, and wouldnt know the value attached to it... Please Take you business elsewhere, or if you are in my position and insurance is suggesting you take your car hear, ask they suggest another. Or be prepared to have your personal items stolen. PS, for any of you MEN out there that dont know what a Pandora Bracelet is, fully loaded charm bracket worth upwards of $800. The one they stole from me happend to be a bracelet with charms that had memories of my only childs first year of life and was given to me when I found out I was pregnant.

I thought I was going to drop my car off and pick it up and people wouldnt really reach out or be nice or anything just from stories Ive heard about other repair places but man, was I wrong. I was in a rear end accident and my insurance brought me over to this repair shop and I couldnt be happier.I dropped off my car and got a call the next day (I dropped my car off after hours) saying they received my car and started working on it right away.Throughout the whole process Hubert Ptak, the general manager, was in constant and detailed communication with me as to what was going on with the car, what they were doing and when they thought the car was going to be finished.Really nice guy, professional and knowledgeable about what was going on and what the next steps were. Actually, everyone I spoke to was friendly, welcoming and made me feel comfortable about leaving my car there.When I got my car back, Hubert went through everything they did and showed me exactly what was changed and what was repaired.I am definitely satisfied with the results and, God forbid, I ever need something like this done again or anyone I know needs repairs, I am absolutely going to recommend them for a job well done.Thank you to the Caliber Collision team!
