I was a stranger in town, and my car broke down unexpectedly. I brought my car to the place which was a large repair shop. The front desk ladies were nice and helpful. The mechanics were friendly. The price was fair, and I was satisfied with the repair. I would recommend this shop to friends and family.

Best guys here. We woke up on the beach with a storm coming and an almost flat tire. Went to a gas station and put air in the tire and looked up these guys. They were very helpful and nice, they found a screw and plugged the hole and we were on our way. Thank goodness for good people on the island.

On our way to Mustang Island, my cars undercarriage cover came loose and started dragging on the road. The closest dealership didnt have any available appointments until the following Tuesday, and I was worried that it might ruin my weekend. Fortunately, Island Auto and Tire was able to help me out. The repair was well priced and completed very quickly. Everyone in the shop was friendly. Thanks so much!

We were visiting Corpus Christi and on our way home, our car overheated do we called this place and they said that they couldnt do anything until the next day, one of the people allowed us to use thier car, they told us that it would then only take about 2ish hours. So we came back around then and saw our car in the front and had to double check if they were for real about how fast they got it done, we asked who worked on our car, and they said John, we really have to give props to John 1000% he did such an amazing job 👏

We are here from Michigan and my car started acting funny. They were super nice and able to get my car in the next morning which was fine cuz we were staying for a week.

We were vacationing in Padre and had a flat tire. I figured one of the Chain stores would be more pricey as would a dealership. I used Yelp to find Island Tire and found them to be professional, honest, and efficient. They communicated well and even told me some things about Subaru I wasnt aware of. They were knowledgable about tires. They had to order the tire (so Im glad I called vaca day 1)and when I came in with my car, they were ready to work on it. Waiting room was spotless, BTW, with really good books.

Subpar tire repair. They only offer plug repair not a patch for to fix a flat. Go to benuelos tires for a better repair . Otherwise, quick service. Customer service was OK

They told me they dont make appointments, so I got there at 7:40 and waited till 10:15. I watched them t move people ahead of me. I was there for them to check work they had already done a few days before.I was told to come back after one to wait some more.the lady got snippy when I asked her about being passed by . To bad I think they are better than that if you are local. Why dont they just tell you they dont want yours business instead of making you wait hours before you just leave. First come first served, not at island tire

I love this business! Sally is excellent at the desk and extremely helpful and friendly. I am new to the Island and they have serviced my car 3x( AC check and fixed) (oil change & fluids filled) and finally new tires. The prices were very reasonable and they informed me of everything ahead of time. They got me in and out in a very timely matter and the service mechanics were very good! I will go here for all my auto needs! Being a single retired woman, it is nice to have somewhere you can trust!

Carmax sent me here due to a potential warranty issue, my warranty was close to expiration so they got me an appointment here with just 1 days notice. Carmax warranty department did not pass along the appointment to Island Tire and Automotive, even without an official appointment they still saw my car about 45 minutes after I arrived and quickly discovered that the problem with the transmission was covered by a dealer service bulletin, therefore I had to take it to a local dealer. I was charged nothing for the time, Island Tire and Automotive was very friendly and helpful!

Had unexpected car trouble as we were leaving the Island. Goggled this place and told them what was going on. One of the owners literally helped me out and replaced our alternator and helped us get back on the road to lubbock. I couldn’t have asked for a more nicer and kind hearted business like this to help us like they did. When they say their is still good ppl out there. They must be talking about this business. Very impressed with this business! My mom, my dog, and myself were visiting and trying to enjoy the beach when the under shield on my car halfway fell off. I drove up to island tire and they not only gave my dog some water to drink, they bolted my under shield back on in no time and sent me on my way. No charge! 10/10 would recommend.

I normally would give a high rating for this place, but not today. I get that yesterday was a holiday (July 4) but I needed an oil change and a tire patched, the website said Island tire and automotive was open today, I show up at 11:00, the sign said Open, and it was locked up. I had to arrange time off to get this done and now I have a wasted day I cannot get back. Need to be more conscientious about making sure the website states they are closed if they are going to be closed. Very unprofessional!

I dont usually write reviews on here but this place is awesome. I brought my car in for an oil change and a tire patch and they also filled my windshield wiper fluid and I think they even tightened a belt that was loose and making a squeaky noise all without me asking. I love a shop that does the little things like this. Also price was very affordable. Highly recommend!

Been here for everything from oil changes to annual vehicle inspection. Honest, dependable, and reasonably priced. Go here instead of dealer for maintenance at about half the price. Have not found anything they could not do. I highly recommend!

I just moved to the island last year and really dont know anyone. Didnt have a way to take my broken down car up to get fixed. Island Tire was just around the corner. They are Extremely nice! The lady that answered the phone was nice and cared about my situation. She sent two technicians to my house to assess my car and take it back up to their shop. They really know what they are doing. Customer service is a 10! I would recommend them to anyone.

I hate dealing with car issues but this place is somehow tolerable. I give them five stars because they work quickly and have never ripped me off in years of servicing my vehicles. I do wish they had more comfortable chairs. No arm rests and waiting always makes me feel like Im about to fall out of my chair.

Been here several times for all kinds of work. Usually have my car ready the same day or the next. They arent the cheapest shop in town, but you get what you pay for! Quality service and the best thing about this shop is that they communicate with you. They are quick to give an estimate and quick to let you know when its ready to be picked up, which is light years ahead of most other shops. Straight shooters.

Bill is a great guy. Always offer a ride when you need it. You are not just a number. Sally at the counter knows her customers and knows her cars.

We experienced a slow leak on a tire and stopped in to have it checked. Couldn’t find a decent air pump at most of the gas stations on the island. They found a small leak in the sidewall and ordered a new tire. Very reasonable “fair” price. Pumped up the tire and we returned first thing in the morning. 30 minutes later we were out the door! Sally was very efficient and called us when the new tire arrived!

I have used Island tire and automotive around 6 to 8 times for oil changes and/or state inspections. Almost every time I have gone in there has been after work and have arrived 40 - 45 minutes prior to closing time. I have always been made to feel like I was imposing on them and they didnt want to be bothered that late in the day with my business. Around September 2014, I went in for an oil change during which time they punctured an O-ring because they did the job so quickly resulting in quite a bit of oil loss. The owner was very apologetic and corrected the situation and asked me to continue to do business with them. January 2015, I went in for an oil change to give them another chance and was immediately made to feel like I was imposing once again. I let the young lady behind the desk know my feelings and she was apologetic but also made excuses for her behavior. When it became time to pay, the young lady told me that the owner told her not to charge me. I insisted on paying and asked to speak to the owner. He came into the office from the shop and was again apologetic but also made comments as to why its a lot of trouble to change the oil in the Toyota Tundra. I paid the bill and will never go back!

Walked in at 8:02 with a flat tire. I walked out at 8:25 with a patched tire. And the price was a lower than I expected. What more can you ask for?

Came to this place to bring my father in laws truck to check why its over heating. They told me it was a temp sensor. They called me told me its all done ready to go and I asked them if they checked everything and I was told I think so. The truck is still over heating. Then they said it was the thermostat...still overheating now theyre saying its a headgasket. I paid $200 and they did not fix the overheating problem. I think thats something they should of checked for in the beginning when I asked instead of giving me the run around.

I have lived on the island since June 2012 went to use this shop 4 time since being here. Two out of the 4 visits were OK but two were terrible. Both time that were bad involved the dark haired lady that worked at the front desk. I will never go back again and you will be better off to choose service over convenice of this shop. It is hard to deal with someone who knows it all and will not listen to what the customer has to say.. Rolling your eyes and looking like it is a problem to do so dont work for me.I only asked her her mechanic to call me about the repair. The car had same problem in 11 months time to repair it right. This is not kind person I wish to have at my front desk. To bad Bill other customers said you are good at customer service need to fix rest of your shop. Old tires need to be changed !!!!!!!!!!

Went by with a flat tire on my boat trailer I had a spare.. they wouldnt even change with my spare unless I bought a tire from them. Poor customer service in my book. And then yelled at us to hurry up and get out of the driveway. I mean damn.. give time to even get back in my truck!

Gave me 3 wrong diagnosis, tried overcharging me $300 on just a part that didn’t even fix the problem. Overall seemed like they didn’t care about fixing my car.

AMAZING experience here! The linkage bar to our Dodge Rams transfer case had fallen out while in 4 wheel drive on the beach; our grommets had dry rotted. So we were stuck in 4 wheel drive and couldnt shift into 2 wheel drive. We asked some islanders that were walking on the beach, and 3 out of 3 people we talked to recommended this place! (So dont be fooled by its lack of positive reviews online)We got to the shop and told them what was wrong, and they immediately knew what it was as soon as they saw the part. A mechanic had to go get the grommets, so in the meantime they told us we could drive around until the parts came in. But we were stuck in 4WD and didnt want to damage the truck on dry pavement, so the mechanic took my husband out underneath the truck and showed him how to manually shift it.After all was said and done, it was a cheap, timely and easy fix! We would definitely recommend them!
