It took one week to get a small repair done. When I picked up my truck I noticed my gas tank was on empty. It had over half a tank when I dropped it off for the repair. When it went in the mileage was 62,180. I looked at the mileage and it is reading 62,524! Someone put 344 miles on my truck! I am furious and will be calling them in the morning to get to the bottom of this! Never go to this place! I should have gone to Caliber Collision. I have never had an issue like this with them, I am sorry I used Southside Paint & Body!

I stopped to put gas in my car at Stripes and on my way driving out of the parking lot i had to swerve to avoid a car which caused me to go over a median. The drivers side of my back bumper came off and was hanging! I did my best to push it back in place but i was scared it would fall off completely if i tried to continue on to San Antonio to pick up my daughter and grandson. I searched for a body shop near me and called Southside. The lady who answered was very nice and helpful to direct me to the shop. When i arrived she spoke with me and immediately i was assisted by someone who looked at my vehicle and replaced the clips and made sure i was good to go on to San Antonio! I was there for maybe 15-20 minutes! I regret that i did not get the gentlemans name who assisted me (maybe the owner/manager) Either way i also asked for a rough estimate to repair or replace my bumper if needed and i got all this in that amount of time and he did not charge me for anything. I was very grateful to this business for helping me and being so kind when i really needed it! Outstanding service and Thank You so much Southside!

I arrived with very minor damage to my vehicles rear bumper cover and received polite & professional assistance right away. The entire encounter actually took less than 5 minutes for the damage that was done to my vehicle, and a problem with one of my rear light fixtures was found and fixed as well for no additional cost. I was recommended to this service by a major dealership in town and couldnt be happier with the service that was given to someone such as myself that is not vehicle savvy. I will be recommending to my family and friends.

Took my F150 here last year after getting sideswiped. Everyone I dealt with was very polite and helpful. They guys did a great job getting my truck back to the condition it was in before the accident. The insurance adjuster was low on the appraisal however they took care of that hassle for me. They did such a good job when one of our work trucks got damaged I immediately went by for a quote. We just picked the truck up this morning and it looks good as new. Thanks again!

Wow!!! I can’t say enough about the professionalism about this establishment. Other auto body shops need to take note. Southside made an appointment for me, got the work done in the time stipulated, and for the estimated cost. Imagine my surprise, though, when I picked up my car to see that it was all nicely washed and vacuumed! Not only are the techs amazing, but the guys who do the paperwork are friendly, thorough, and have a great reputation with my insurance company. They communicated status on a regular basis and worked me into their very busy December schedule. The shop followed my instructions but went above and beyond with quality and service. I witnessed shop personnel taking personal pride in my car. The owner, Jessie, took me to my residence when I dropped off my car. Joe W, the service advisor, kept my inbox full with pictures of the progress. Over 60 pictures in all. He spoke actively to me in every conversation. The level of protection from over spray and sanding dust was mind boggling. I traveled out of state on business. They stored my car for me for 3 weeks while I was away. My car literally came out perfect. I tried hard and failed to find any defects or blemishes. My car looked brand new when recieved. I’m totally infatuated with my beautiful Qx70 infinity. When time came to have body work done, I insisted the dealership send it to South Side Auto Body Shop. Upon completion, I scrutinized the work; the new paint is seamless, it’s blending perfectly with original paint.I am extremely picky and only allow professionals to work on my car. Anytime I have issues with car body work, Southside is the only establishment I will trust. My husband Called them yesterday at closing time after the wind caught his door on our semi. They said bring it over to see what they could do. I have to say that Southside Paint and Body is awesome. I had my 2016 Hyundai Veloster in to get the front end of my vehicle repaired due to an accident. I cant explain enough how easy the whole process was for me. I have been through many headaches with other places. Andrea made things very easy and less stressful for me. I took my 2013 Suburban in to them several months ago and I am very happy with the service I received. They were able to replace the motorized sunroof that had been destroyed by a stray rock for less than half of what several other places quoted me. After several months everything is still working great. If I find myself in need of future repairs Ill be taking it here again for sure.

Customer service is most definitely BY FAR the biggest issue this place has. I dont know their hiring process, but whoever is actually doing the hiring is choosing these horribly rude women to answer their phones. Every time I call it seems the same woman answers and she just does not know how to DECENTLY speak to people. This has changed my perspective on this body shop and I am moving my business elsewhere. If customer service is a big deal for you, then I HIGHLY recommend taking your business else where.

If you are not driving a Mercedes dont expect to receive quality customer care or quality work. My vehicle was involved in a collision and I took it here to get the damage assessed. With every concern I voiced the specialist made it seem like they were doing me a favor by working on my vehicle. Needless to say they were getting paid a premium amount. After my vehicle was completed there was still notable issues with the repair, not to mention the car never drove the same. I winded up taking my vehicle elsewhere and I highly recommend that you do some research before coming here. Stick to dealership repair shops, they have warranties extending for the life of the vehicle, unlike this place which only provides a limited warranty; now I know why- its because their quality of work is overall poor.

I had the best experience at Southside! I went by with no appointment to have my Mercedes gas cap fixed. The place was busy, but they made me feel super important and everyone I encountered was so friendly and willing to help. They could have told me to come back or make an appointment, but instead, the owner himself came out and had my car fixed within 20 minutes. I couldnt have asked for more personalized and top notch service. Ive had other friends take their cars here, and all had the same experience I did. When I first picked up my car I didnt notice but my hood looks worse than when I brought it in. After 6 weeks of my brand new car being in the shop, my hood is unaligned and dented. Ill be bringing it back in first thing after the holiday and will update the response.

Terrible service. Dont honor quotes. Dont even know enough about cars to trust to work on high end cars. They will try to tare off parts they dont too just to jack up the price.I dont even know where to start. For a place to hold themselves in such high standings (at least they charge like they do) they had no sense of service. They quoted me to remove a few parts and paint them and reinstall after some custom work got done with my brand new BMW M. Then they say oh but the earliest we can do it is more then a month out so i schedule the entire project around them and their date only to get called the day after i dropped it off and told they will not honor the quote because it was done by a former employee and they want 3 times the amount! Im as understanding as the next person but your staffing issues dont equate to my problems. They insisted they would have to remove other things on the car to get to the parts (like the entire roof interior to get to the shark fin antenna even though i told them multiple times thats not how F generation BMWs are built) showing their lack of knowledge was the last draw and i told them not to touch it. I took my BMW to Auto Crafters down the road where they gave me a great price speedy service. Go there.

I have always praised the attention to detail and the attention to customer service at South Side Paint and Body. I have been a long time customer, and was with them when they were at their first very small location on Kram st. I first used South Side Paint And Body in 2005 when my 02 Mercedes Benz was hit. They did a beautiful job. You couldnt even tell it was in an accident. They also worked on my 05 GMC Envoy, 08 Honda CRV, my 2013 Genesis, and my 2014 Elantra. When they first opened up they were a mom and pop style shop. The owners Andrea and Jesse would great you at the door with a smile. They made you feel like the center of the world. In the Last few years their business has boomed which is amazing and I am so happy for them. I am a business owner and I too strive for growth and prosperity like that. The one thing they are now lacking is the personal touch they once had. The last two cars I took to South Side Paint and Body for repairs was the Elantra, and the Genesis. Both jobs lacked they quality and finesse that I was use to from such a prominent establishment. My Genesis had a paint cup in the trunk that was open. Luckily the paint was dry. The drivers door to this day still has silver splatters on it from the repairs they did. My Elantra went into their shop after a rear end collision. They lost the carpet lining in the trunk, and the custom weather tech mat to protect the trunk lining. What really disappointed me was today. My dream car was t-boned most of you who follow me have seen the photos and my rants and raves over the accident. I took the car over to them to get an estimate on the cosmetic work needed to get my baby back to par. They quoted a ridiculous $10k and up for the repairs. Every other shop in town has quoted between 2500 and 5500 for the repairs. As I was speaking with their estimator, Both Jesse and Andrea walked by no friendly and warm greeting. They just brushed by as if I had never taken 5 cars to their establishment. Its great to see a business grow and succeed, but it is also heart breaking and shameful when a business forgets the clients that suck with them when they were a small operation. They may be considered the best in town. The last two cars show that their quality in work and their attention to detail has gone down. The great news I found a guy who loves restoring and fixing classic cars. He does amazing work and he even made some amazing suggestions. . . . . I think im gonna put lambo doors on my vette.To South Side Paint and Body. I continue to wish you amazing success, but I think I will be finding a shop that has that personal touch, I think I found it. Lets see how the other guys do ;)

I had some bumper damage on my 2009 G37S from getting backed into and they made the process very easy and were able to work with the money insurance provided very well while also fixing a problem that had previously been there not covered by insurance and paint matching my grille I could not be happier with the results and the service

I had my car rear ended, C250 2013 model, and had it fixed it here since it is mercedes benz certified. It took a long time - approx 2-2.5 months - but that is not why I am giving it 2 stars - since I had a loan car I really didnt care about the wait time as long there was quality work done.Fast forward a couple months, I finally got my car back but upon inspection there were many paint imperfections and I realize that optimal paint environments are hard to obtain - but I mean come on.. when the word PAINT is literally in your shop name, at least try to not make the imperfection so obvious?? I saw tens of hundreds of blobs and little pin point dips and while they tried to fix it when I asked them to, they were unable to fix quite a few of them.Furthermore, there were MANY LARGE splatters of white compound all over the car and even on the headlights... I was a bit surprised seeing that they did not have the decency to give it a second look to clean up an easy, visible mess. And inside the car there were many many large dust particles inside all over the dash, steering wheel, and gear stick area. a quick vacuum could have cleaned this up, but again no decency to do basic cleanups inside or outside the car.Now onto the ACTUAL fix of the car... Yes, they fixed the car - the major thing was that my back light was busted out, and some misalignment on the trunk door since it got rear ended (and it was only on one side) - they fixed the lights and etc. However, on the side that got hit, the paint job is horrid. There are extreme holograms on the car, and, even I know that these types of holograms are caused by wrongly using a buffer. A common mistake but yields ugly results, I cant believe a bodyshop that prides itself in supposed quality work and, what Im assuming, proper paint techniques - can not use a buffer correctly. And I know the holograms were caused by southside because 1) before the accident my car had beautiful paint as I take care good care of it and I notice things about my car very easily 2) that part was the part damaged so of course whatever was there prior to the accident was now a mess of crushed metal anyway, southside had to replace it, unfortunately they did not do a good enough job to even properly buff it out. And since my car is black, it is very noticeable.Also, not putting blame on southside at all, but after I got my car back the OBD port was out on the passengers side, I took it to the benz dealer to have it looked at and apparently it doesnt even fit where it needs to because there are non genuine parts inside so the OBD port will not fit. Call it coincidence that I noticed this after southside, and that the OBD port was out in the wrong side... Not blaming, but putting it out there...Wish I had the option to go to an actual bodyshop who was mercedes benz certified but actually cared about details and quality.
