Hotel Del Caronado is stunning. The gift shop Est. 1888 makes it even more special. I found jewelry made from turn of the century buttons. Splendid.

The staff is so friendly. They have beautiful jewelry from local and national artists that I can only find here. Cant wait to get back and buy my next piece.

A MUST SEE! Obviously a 5 Star resort. Once you enter the grounds, you already feel like a celebrity. I use to work for THE DEL, back in the 80s. Right when I thought this beautiful hotel couldnt get any better, it did! I fell in love and I still take Bus 901 over the Coronado Bridge, (breath taking view), just to walk through the hotel again. Sometimes, I rent a lounge and enjoy some Beach Time. I suggest picking up a book, in the Main gift shop, telling The Story about this amazing, one of a kind hotel. At age 71, its still my favorite place to visit! Still in love with THE DEL. Too much to see, do, enjoy, and describe here. Be sure to ask questions and take a ride on the old original elevator.
