I hadnt been to this service station before. But Im glad I stopped in for their expertise and friendly help! Previously I had my newly purchased vehicle checked out by some mechanics and they said it was fine and drove good nothing wrong with transmission etc. But when I drive it, it had a dragging feeling and would slow down and didnt feel right somehow. I was worried something bigger was wrong and no one was catching it. But they did here. They explained it was the bad tires and bad brakes. Now I can be relaxed that my car is safe and sound to drive and I know what the issues are. Great people there very knowledgeable and love what they do. Im recommending people to use their great honest services! Thank you very much!

Went yesterday, job was done quick. GREAT ppl in there. Would say probably one of the best places I ever went to for anything. Will be going back for sure if I need anything done. Price was great also.

I brought my car in to have it diagnosed and they found multiple codes so I set up to have my car dropped off later that week to have it fixed. I was having a specific problem and the code for that had been identified, so I dropped my car off at 9am, when they opened. I called at 4:10 inquiring about when I could pick it up, and the person said they haven’t even touched it because they were over scheduled that day... I called them back about 2 minutes later to see if I could come get it so I’d have it to get to work the next day, and they told me, oh, no, it was just put up on the rack, and would be done sometime tomorrow. Next day, got the call that my car was done, and sent my dad and brother to go get it. Cost was $600. Got home and my dad (was a mechanic, now older and can’t do things like he used to), tells me they didn’t fix the problem. Not sure what I paid $600 for (O2 sensor change). But my car was still sputtering. Wouldn’t bring my car back here for anything, they do not communicate anything and they overcharge. Got the problem fixed by two teenage boys for $100.

I initially came in with a coupon for an oil change. During that oil change he looked over the whole car and recommended that I replace the back brakes. This is something I knew but could not afford to fix so I asked for an estimate to plan. When I returned a few months later the actual bill came in a bit under the estimate, the car sounds much better, and all of the work was completed well and quickly. Both times I was there I felt well informed and that my car was well cared for. Will continue to return.

This is a family owned garage and they treat you just like that, family. They know you by first name and always give it to you straight. They actually let me bring in my own, cheaper internet, parts and just charged me the labor. Been to them for all my vehicles and have recommended them to many others. Just remember to make an appointment. The team is small and they can get overwhelmed quick when people are just dropping their automobiles off.

Excellent service! I live up North and was down in the Cities for work when my front wheel bearing started making horrible noises on a Friday night. My brother in-law recommended Hometown Auto and I called them right away on Saturday morning and asked if they could possibly get me in that day and have it finished before I had to work later that afternoon. Much to my surprise they said sure, come right over.I arrived at 9:15 AM and they immediately took my car to diagnose the problem. I knew the right front bearing was definitely bad but I also heard the left one was making some noise on the way over to Hometown. Turns out that both needed replacement. Now I thought maybe they wouldnt be able to get it done right away. Again, to my surprise, they said they would get it done that day. They immediately began to get the job done while I waited.I enjoyed talking with the gentleman and other customers in the lobby while I waited and by noon I had paid the bill and was driving away with two brand new wheel bearings. They charged a very fair price and their customer service was excellent.I live in a small town up North and am used to doing business with the owner of the businesses I deal with at home. I was very happy to find the same level of pride and customer service down in the Cities. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Hometown Auto! Thanks again guys!

Weve been to Hometown auto with both of our vehicles for oil changes and an inspection to find an issue. They did a great job. The oil changes were done in a timely manner, customer service was great and the staff is friendly and you cant beat the price for an oil change. My 1yo even wanted the owner at the front desk to zip her jacket last time we were there. So far only good experiences from a small family owned business. I would recommend them to friends and family.

I called these guys a quarter of an hour before they closed on a Friday evening with a dead power steering system. They nicely stuck around past closing to take a look at my vehicle, and after doing so they had it fixed the next day. Final price was actually lower than the original estimate. Ill be going back to this shop.

Love this place! They are trustworthy, being a woman I dont feel like Im being screwed over like other mechanics, they always get the job done and dont charge as much as Ive paid from other mechanics.

Been a DIYr myself for too many years. Often, doing repairs Id rather not do but have had trouble finding someone I trust. Then I ran into Doug who I used to work with and found that he was running this place. So when my high mile Avalon needed rescue, I gave them a try. EXTREMELY pleased with their efforts to protect my dollar. Its rare to find.

Place is a complete joke. I figured i would stop in since i always drive by, but never again will I. More expensive then national shops. I always cant believe they would put new tires on the front of my car when they should of been put on the front. If they dont know the basic knowledge of that then i for sure wouldnt trust them .
