I dropped off a trailer to this location at Zimalcrest on a Sunday morning. And it was EASY like Sunday Morning… like the song goes. And so far it looks like there were no problems. I was so glad that everything went smoothe. Christopher was very professional and very knowledgeable. Great to work with. Very much appreciated!

The star is for location, it was nextdoor. The attitude and tone of the employees ran my blood up. I didnt cuss because I needed the damn truck. They must get a commission for sales because they tried to scare us into the insurance and called several times to remind us when the truck was due back. We were two hours early. Unless you enjoy paying for abuse, DONT USE THIS U-HAUL.

This is the third time I had a problem getting into my storage unit. Other times the people were very helpful. But that female supervisor in there told me that; the only way my card wouldnt work; if I didnt pay my bill! She checked and saw that I, Did pay my bill.So she took my card and give me a code so I hope Ill be able to get in later. But since there has been so many other problems with, that place I dont know.There other mistake she made with put my unit. like Putin me in a unit that someone else was using. But she corrected that. So I let that go, but now after talking to other people. Who have had problems at that place. And being in there when other people were checking...I can see that there is a habit of unprofessional behavior that is gone unchecked too long.Plus I know for a fact that other people have had problems getting into their unit. I was told by one of the employees that they had technical difficulties with the gate. And where going have someone come out.So I find it very insulting that, she didnt say, sorry for the inconvenience. She just assumed that I didnt pay the bill she can check the system she saw that I did.When I said Thank you for her help. She was just irritated that she had to go out there. Like it was my fault.When the other employees knew that there was a problem with the gate. Shes a supervisor, why didnt she know.Blame me for something so simple. Im thinking just leave the door open between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. they have multiple surveillance cameras they can see that people are doing during the day. Way us it so hard to get in to Unit the gate.Sometimes theyll close it at noon. One person got stuck in side in the afternoon. And had to wait for 20 minutes before a employee let him out. Other times door wont open, during the day. Even with a card, coed, or with a up-to-date, Payed account.Have done business multiple times at other U-Hauls with no problem. I wont be paying for other month, at that one on 1003 Zimalcrest Dr.Plus the place is so compact to drive/parking is very minimum. Hard to get in and out of there. So many potholes on one side of the building. You can end up hurting your vehicle. Very understaffed. That female supervisor(?) was very unprofessional.

The customer service at this location is horrible!! I reserved a 10-ft one way truck online several weeks prior, but when it was time to pick up the truck the girl (dont remember her name) told me no trucks were available. She said they dont rent 10-ft one way trucks. She said they could upgrade me to a 15-ft truck, but they had none available. The solution? I was given the 1-800 number sent sent on my way. The girl didnt lift a finger to help. I called the 1-800 number and after holding for well over a half-hour, I was told there were no 10-foot or 15-foot one way trucks available. A truck could be available the next day at the Two Notch location. Thanks to the lack of customer service at this location, we had to spend an additional night in a hotel. Heres the interesting thing, I mentioned what happened to the customer service rep at the Two Notch location and he said not renting 10-ft one way trucks is not true!!! I dont live in South Carolina and dont have a reason to rent from this location ever again, but be careful when reserving a truck from this location. Call and confirm!

Worst service ever. An employee wanted to fight ne because he wanted to close the store early.

We returned the truck in the same condition we picked it up in. Cab was clean, we didnt leave anything in the truck and they charged me a $50 cleaning fee ...

Absolutely horrible location and incompetence. do not schedule to get your hitch installed here we paid them $300 and they charged us twice, we scheduled it two weeks out and they continued to change our appointment. After multiple phone calls I had to wait on the phone for over an hour each time just to get a hold of someone to make sure that our appointment for installation was confirmed, I was assured that it would be installed. so we showed up on the date of scheduled appointment and they didn’t have the part, waited then from 10 am to 11:30am to be issued a refund with zero apologies. Absolutely horrible service, extremely rude and blatantly dismissive, have honestly never experienced such horrible customer service.

Brandon was super helpful and did everything he could to help us out on a last minute request. Because of him my family and I were able to get back on the road to finish out our vacation. Thank you!

Customer service is nice. I feel That they should have more than one person working at a time. I have been in this place two or three times and every time I go there is one person and that person has to do a lot of stuff if a person is renting a vehicle. So if he or she has to leave out of the building there is a line that is hold everything up. They should always have two people scheduled. Other than that the customer service is great in the process to get the vehicle and drop the vehicle off is simple.

Unprofessional. If I’m paying for a storage unit I expect great customer service also. The stuff I went through yesterday at this location was uncalled for. However, if you see a customer going inside of the store .... meanwhile, all 3 employees are standing around outside talking for a good 3 minutes before anyone decides to come in and help me. Granted if I wanted to steal anything from the place it was nothing but opportunity at the moment.Then when I mentioned that my storage unit was labeled something totally different than what my emails were saying they basically told me that I was wrong & it wasn’t a unit out there with those numbers. I told them I had taken a picture and had proof. They call me back & says it was labeled wrong and he will change the numbers to correct it. I asked for a follow up email. Never received it. Customer isn’t always right anymore ? I wouldn’t lie!

Please KEEP YOURSELF AWAY from this location, if you do not them still your money. they intentionally giving you vehicle without full gasoline. I rent a cargo van and returned it on time and filled the gas based on my pick up gas level, the lady who works there checked and ask me refill little bit more and told me the direction of nearest gas station. I put the gas and came back then I was waiting in the line, she told me that you can go I will take care of the rest and send you an email. I received an email which added $20 for the gas. I made only 30 miles round trip and filled up 2.5 gallon gasoline which is good enough for the milage that I made with it .I will report them to the BBB and UHAUL`s HQ since they should not be in such business to still the money from the people.

I have rented here multiple times and they have always done well by me. Best of all, it seems like a tough job but they seem to always treat each other with respect. If you are anywhere in Columbia area, save yourself some hassle and go to this location first.

Needed to pick up a trailer wiring adapter since the first one we got on the equipment stopped working. Tried to call to see if they had one (making a cross country move) but no one was answering. Walked in with one employee sleeping and the other watching something on her phone (cuss words and all). Seemed to be mad she was I trusted bc she didn’t want to help and was completely rude. When asked for price her response was “I don’t know”. Asked her to ring it up to check “will it be cash or credit”...I don’t know, how much does it cost first..”I don’t know”...fine, cash. Gave her cash and the drawer wouldn’t stay closed said she didn’t know why...maybe because you need to give me my change...”ugh, now I have to figure out how to open the drawer and how much to give you”. Forget it, I have 4 kids and 2 dogs in the car and because of your broken equipment it’s putting us behind schedule.

Jerry is a fantastic person and worker. He got my buddys jeep set up to go with a trailer INCLUDING helping us diagnose a wireing issue that would have prevented us from getting my new motorcycle back to knoxville.He was working double duty when we walked in but he still managed to be prompt, polite, and went above and beyond to get us on the road. What ever he is paid, is not enough for the care he shows to his job.

If you are using Uhaul in Columbia this is the one to go to. Dont expect any Uhaul place to be treat you like you are royalty but these folks know how to get you in and out. (beware of peak times) Their inventory is usually high. I have used this location multiple times.

The staff at this location are so awesome!! They are so nice and helpful!! Plus they have all the sizes of uhaul’s available! I would recommend this location to everyone!! Ask for Jerry, he is fantastic!!

Nice people. They were very helpful and understanding. Easy to get along with. I pass other uhaul rental bases just to go to this one. Five stars all the way, every time.

I had a hitch put on and had to reschedule twice. After hitch was installed I got an email with receipt showing a refund. It was in my name but refunded to an account that wasn’t mine. I also never spoke with anyone about a refund. Appears someone’s skimming from the top.

Great place to store your stuff. Safe and secure. The staff was quite a pleasure to work with also.

I reserved a 26 foot truck to be picked up at 730am and I arrived at 715 as they were supposed to open at 7am waiting for over an hour and watched 5 customers come and go and called 3 times to get told that that first it was 15 minutes then they told me 5 minutes until someone arrived ended up having to find another location to pick up my truck I had reserved this us by far the worst service I have recieved from uhaul.

Ask for Richard hes helpful and cute😁...no but seriously, the customer service was awesome. I definitely recommend this location!

Was moving so I needed a hand truck to load and then unload a pod I rented, they were very professional and friendly will definitely use them again.

I rented a uhaul in April 2018. I gave them a deposit to hold for my rental and have yet to receive my refund after talking to corporate twice and someone at this location. It was sent to the wrong address first, but even after correcting it over two weeks ago, I’m still getting the run around and oh I’m sorry that happened . NO! I want my money!! BBB will hear about this one. It does not take 4 months To resolve a issue like this.

Excellent option for helping you when you need to move... They are everything that you need for that.

I used this company once and it will be the last time I use them. I dont recommend anyone using u-haul to move anything go to enterprise truck rental.

Would not rent me a car dolly when I was using a u haul pickup. The wanted me to rent a box truck at a higher rate.

Had to go through way too many jumps and Hoops to get to the bottom line of things and when it came down to it just way overpriced and way over insured to get a U-Haul
