Great atmosphere. Greater coffee! I’ve only been in the area for a month but I’ve tried about 5 other coffee shops and none of them compare. If you want yummy tasting, quality coffee made by a skilled barista, this is your place! Kind staff goes a long way too! I got the baklava latte (SO GOOD) I drank it way too fast!

Somehow when I read these glorious reviews for this place I thought the bagels would be amazing. I called ahead to make sure they were open and had bagels left. I told the man who answered the phone I was walking from my downtown hotel. Turns out the walk is through a sketchy area. I wished he commented on that but he didn’t. I got there and ordered my NY City flown-in, exceptional bagel toasted with cream cheese. Sorry (really not sorry) but any self respecting NYer does not expect to get their bagel with a tiny tub of cream cheese on the side and a plastic knife. The expectation is it’s already on the bagel. I ate my sorry and sad tasting bagel and walked back to my hotel. Perhaps unfairly I had been to the Carolina Cafe earlier in the weekend and ordered the same thing there—plain bagel toasted with extra cream cheese. There I received a proper breakfast sandwich, already spread with melty, yummy cream cheese. It was incredible.Curiosity Coffee Bar, you have a way to go. Please also explain why I have an option to ‘tip’ you when I pay using my card? You did nothing but put the bagel in the toaster. I also had to come up to the cash register to get my food.*I am in no way affiliated with Carolina Cafe or any other restaurant. I actuallycwork for an airline.

Fantastic variety of coffee and teas and now great lunch and breakfast bowls too. Also some very interesting pop-ups happen in the car park space in the evenings. This is a very much appreciated community gathering space for all.

Very good cafe with a unique aesthetic and very interesting variety of food and coffee options. I normally order a cappuccino to test how solid a cafes coffee is, but chose to order a chai latte here. I made the right choice, with some small complaints.The chai tasted wonderful: chai lattes, in my experience, are often overly sweet, but this one was just right in terms of flavor. However, it was lukewarm. It simply wasnt served hot enough.I met up with an advisor whom I consider a good friend of mine here, and after they ordered a wedge of coffee cake, I decided to order a wedge myself. It was fantastic, aside from being a little dry and also a tad cold.Speaking of aesthetic, the building used to, I believe, function as a garage, and the interior is an eclectic mix of designs with a bare-bones, open feel. Its very unique, with shelves full of beverages and interesting boxed items like banana-shaped wine stoppers. Plus, theres a variety of chair options, and places to plug in your laptop if you come here to knock out some work.I advise coming here - a great option for coffee just outside of downtown Columbia

I cant say enough good things about Sandra and Greg, and the whole Curiosity team. I have absolutely loved having them in the neighborhood. They are wonderful humans who truly care about the community. Plus they organize great events, they always have amazing vegan options, and they make a great coffee. One of Columbias best small businesses.

Amazing coffee! So glad this is in my neighborhood! I havent had such good coffee since I traveled to Europe. My only complaint is petty. I hate their to go cups. They are wonderful Earth friendly cups I should applaud, but they squish easily in your hand, spilling your coffee. Lesson learned, drink it there! Inside is homey and comfortable and the outside seating is nice on cooler days. I cant wait visit again.

I love this place!! I went for the first time a few weeks ago and it is my new favorite spot to grab something quick. My order is the strawberry fields forever and the vegan sausage sandwich. I love how they have vegan options and menu items that are customizable. An added bonus is that they are affordable and both LGBTQ and friendly and allies of the black community!

One of the best coffee bars in Columbia. The Nicaraguan and Ethiopian blends are both rich, earthy and flavorful. Each time Ive been the staff has been helpful, and the coffee is served super hot.

The food truck was awesome! Marys Arepas was very delicious. Despite the rain service was good, and food was made fresh and hot. The workers in the coffee shop was helpful. They know their products and made great suggestions. The rose, apple hard cider was a great refreshing drink. I had a vegan peanut butter chocolate chip cookie for the first time. I must say thats was the best peanut butter cookie Ive ever had. Monday at Curiosity Coffee Bar was a good ending to my day. Thank you

Cool space and the staff are nice, they have a old coffee table pinball machine, but be warned, the overly hipster customers might give you the evil eye if you play it🙄. Coffee is very good but like anything else catering to that crowd its pricey. The 3 stars is for the prices otherwise a nice spot.

This place is a total gem! We were making the drive down to Savannah from Wisconsin and needed a little pick me up. We wanted to try a good local shop vs. a chain that would have probably been closer to the highway. Curiosity checked all of the boxes for us!! We were greeted by the barista who was absolutely wonderful! He offered great advice for what to eat and drink ( we went with the baklava lattes 1 hot, 1 cold; both were delicious. The bagel egg and cheese sandwich was great as well). He also told us to check out the Saluda Riverwalk before we left town which was an added bonus, just wish we had more time, what a beautiful spot! The only complaint we had was that he was a Cubs fan 😂.

I was home for a visit and found this place on North Main. Great coffee, service with a progressive vibe. I look forward to my next visit in the Fall. Highly recommend!

New favorite coffee spot! The people were friendly and talked all about the coffees, teas, blends and snacks...the music vibes and atmosphere was on point...and the actual fare was sublime. I had the golden super food latte and pimento cheese pie, and I loved both of them! I dont even particularly like pimento cheese, but I will definitely get this again. We drove past a few times before we finally stopped in, dont make the same mistake! Stop in today!

Not your typical coffee shop. This really DOES have a BAR! They have all sorts of beers and wines. The eclectic atmosphere compliments their stage where bands and special events are hosted {see their Facebook page).I had the Mexican coffee and boy it has a slight kick to it, but its goooood.My daughter had a Ham, Cheddar and Cream Cheese Bagel Bomb and it was DELICIOUS. She said her Chamomile tea hit all the right spots.My Wife had a Peppermint Tea and Ham and Chedder Quiche that cute and tasted amazing.Gonna need to come back here.

I have only been here once and it was okay. I was expecting a lot more. I had been to their soda city market stand and I loved it and everyone was really friendly and the coffee was incredible.Once I made it to their storefront, the staff wasnt very friendly or helpful. The coffee was okay but not as good as Ive had at their soda city stand, overall the experience wasnt very good.The location is really nice and I might have to come back again to see if it was just a bad first impression.

Their menu on the wall has such a small font that the people with me and I felt we all needed eye tests, but that aside, i had an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel as well as a house salad with chicken for lunch (to go) and both were very good.

I got a caramel latte and it was awesome. Its a nice place to sit down chill, reflect, and relax. And yeah feel free to have a drink or two. You can also purchase a bottle or can to take home with you.

I had an awesome iced coffee, my kiddo enjoyed his decaf latte as well lol. And the guy that works there is a total cutie, so this place is a win win. :P

Iced chocolate banana cold brew oat milk latte was so delicious and super unique. Great orange chai latte also. Staff was super polite and helpful.

I have been going to Curiosity since it opened and the owners (Greg & Sandra) make this place the epitome of a community minded small business. The transformations they have gone thru over the years (and especially thru Covid) have always been phenomenal. The food and drink menu are always evolving for the better and the space itself is inviting and warm. Have a dog? Bring em in (on a leash)! They get a treat for being good boy/girl. The events they put on are always fun and locally sourced. They are always looking to prop up other local small businesses as well. Im not a vegan or need to have gluten free things but many of their items are and you wouldnt even know it! I kind of now prefer a lot of the vegan or gluten free things they sell, honestly. If I put my favorite meal or drink items here then it would be a couple more paragraphs. Just go and find out for yourself why they are loved by so many! Hope this helps!

Curiosity never ceases to provide top shelf service & a warm smile. They are part community cultivation (with the adaptive bodega inventory based on the surrounding neighborhoods or their Mobile Mondays where a wide range of food trucks serve), part unassuming coffee shop. But calling them a coffee shop is a disservice to their product & purpose. Love this place.

Amazing coffee and staff!! I had one of their specialty drinks (Monkey Business) and I HIGHLY recommend it!! The coffee is really high quality, really smooth, and the service was polite and exceptional. I walked in and told the barista I had never been there before, wanted a hot latte that wasn’t too sweet and he suggested he perfect drink! They are also dog friendly (woof!) and have an awesome loyalty program! Their food also looked fresh and amazing, although I did not eat anything I would definitely try some in the future. I’m excited to become a regular at Curiosity Coffee!!

Secluded, but in a good way. Its on N. Main Street tucked in the Vino Garage space. It is less crowded than the other local coffee shop across the street. No shade intended (I actually really like the other shop), but for me, thats a plus.Its a smaller space but has all of the amenities of your contemporary coffee shop and a few extras. WiFi is available, plenty of wall outlets, outdoor seating, and of course, good coffee.The thing that sets this cafe apart is the story. It seems like most of what they provide comes with a description explaining what-this-is. From the 1000 Faces coffee brand, the vegan-compostable utensils, the difference between espresso, chemex, and french press, and the notes and tones within each region of coffee they offer....this bar certainly makes an attempt to satisfy your curiosity and sense of discovery.There are about 12-15 seats inside, and more space outside. The coffee alone is worth the trip. I prefer a lightly-roasted, not too bold coffee, so the friendly gentleman suggested the Brazilian dripped brew. It was a great suggestion that satisfied my palate.As I sat there surrounded with all of this information about coffee, my curiosity got the best of me. Thankfully, they have a offering called the Flight in which you get 3oz of each coffee they offer (four at this point).I literally learned what I liked about each coffee even down to which coffee tastes better at certain temperatures. An interactive, educational experience....probably the coolest experience Ive had at a coffee house.It is very apparent that these guys are passionate about their craft. And as a craftsman, thats something I can appreciate.

Driven by this place hundreds of times over the past year. Decided to stop by early this morning and give it a try. Was pleasantly surprised with the vibe... The guy behind the counter was really nice and I had a wonderful cup of coffee. Will definitely be back for coffee and probably a beer or two one afternoon!

Fantastic coffee, fantastic staff, owners that care deeply about their community and act on that care, vegan options and they allow dogs! One of my favorite places in Columbia and my go to if I want a good cup of coffee and a quiet environment to get work done.

A great little coffee shop and cafe in downtown Olathe (and just a short walk from my dentists office). Kansas Coffee Cafe fits right in to the downtown area. I went in the middle of a Monday afternoon, so it wasnt too busy. Several tables and seating options in a cozy little space. On a sunny day it gets tons of natural lighting.

Really fortunate to be a regular at Curiosity. The coffee is the bomb, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. They have a ton of special events, including bands and comedians. They also have mobile food Monday where they get a different food truck to visit, and occasionally Peace of Soul will setup. They generally have some good brews on tap and a drink special or two.

Coffee was decent but the vibes are worth it. Small little coffee shop bar mix, and apparently general store with a few basic supplies. Quite unique

Every drink Ive gotten here has been fabulous! They normally have two specialty brews each day and they dont make me jittery like Starbucks coffee often does. The environment is dog-friendly and the food is really good too.
