The piano teacher is nice. The staff is friendly, but the customer service is bad. The person responsible for lessons is never available. They will have you wait half hour to speak to someone who will never show up. I booked several Keyboard lessons and I have never received any written contract from them. They just provided verbal information and never sent any reminder. We ended up missing 2 lessons and they refused to refund the money. I am no longer booking lessons with them.

Was there this past sunday and I drove there to play and check out a used amp that they had. Once there we were never greeted, no one even acknowledged us. Me and my friend found the amp, which was plugged in but would not turn on. We asked the person at the register and she told us to just look for another outlet. We had to unplug the amp and plug it somewhere else. Our next issue was the cord. All of the cords in that area were not working. We hunted around for one and found one that was not tied down to anything. It worked!Grabbed a guitar and started playing. We must have played the amp for a good 20 minutes and even compared it to another amp. All this time no one came to help or even acknowledge that we were there. I was ready to buy the amp. I looked around and there was no one around. The only person there was the repair guy speaking with someone else.The girl at the cashier must have been with someone else since I went back to see about buying the amp. It seemed everyone was busy and that I would have to wait. Well it was not to be since no one ever came to help. Sadly I walked out and I can assure GC I will not be back.Please help your customers as they are the ones that keep your stores open!

I recently came down to Pompano from Massachusetts for a short term work assignment and didnt bring my guitar with me. This was my first time at this location and the staff was awesome. I called ahead to see if a particular guitar was in stock and when I arrived, Will showed me around and helped me find everything I needed. The guy who rang me up was also awesome, but I unfortunately didnt catch his name

Being of the 2nd generation of Rockers (late 70s) I Miss the old days when EVERY piece of gear you were interested was in the store! These days Internet driven sales make it hard to ‘try’ before you buy. But it’s still a great place to find a great guitar for your needs. I’m still explaining why I need 13 of ‘em!

Brought my 1956 Selmer Mark VI tenor in for evaluation. Mario Cerra evaluated the horn and suggested a complete overhaul. I was very reluctant to leave my baby with a stranger. Best thing I ever did!!He is a true professional, caring and with expertise in his pores. His work is meticulous. The horn has never played so well!Thanks for a great restoration.

A bit too small for a music store. Never enough selection nor any private space to test amps (some of us are shy or crave some privacy to properly demo). They dont carry Rickenbacker guitars here, which is disappointing. They keep very little higher end inventory (guitars over $1500 and up). Only time you ever see one are the rare occasions that a used one comes in (see pics from recent visit). Not a very large selection of amps.Other sections are too small, particularly the drum section. Only decent size space is the revamped acoustic room.I wish some of their sales staff had a greater depth of knowledge for all brands. I only like going there to kill time and demo stuff if its there.

They dont have much merchandise. They just say their store is very small and to try other bigger stores. I do have to admit they are very attentive to their customers.

Hector has helped my husband and I several times but today in the mist of seamless chaos he was so cool calm and collected enough to help us with our purchase. He was super sweet and patient and answered all of our questions, us usual. Seeing how busy it was he made our experience really delightful and we’re grateful for that. Love this place and it’s employees.

Went there a couple of times to buy trumpet got a good one on sale the 1st time then asked questions about pocket trumpet. Got all my questions answered. The staff have great customer service skills.This old devil dog will definitely keep going back here if I need anything.

Lots of basic stuff here. Staff was friendly. Guitar amp selection was poor. The problem I find is this stores are too large to operate with the staff they have. I played about 14 guitars and the only ones that were in tune were Taylor acoustic.

I came ready to buy a significant amount of musical equipment. Nobody had time for me, after I asked for help I stood around for about 20 min, the staff was overwhelmed, so I left. I went next door to Sam Ash and bought a several K worth of equipment. Guitar Center loss was Sam Ashs gain.

Lacy is wonderful and goes above and beyond. Love our piano lessons. Jeff got us a great deal in pianos.

My favorite place 😍 of all times. This is where I learn the ins and outs of the motif keyboard now a classic indeed. I use to spend hrs here just practicing 🙃 sharing joys of music with others. Love it!

As a professional musician, I find Guitar Center to be a dichotomy. On one hand, the products for sale cater mostly to beginning and intermediate players. There is definitely room for that market, however as someone who needs quality equipment to do their job, I have also found Guitar Center to be a leader in the sales and service of professional musical equipment. The manager of Guitar Center appears to be a wonderful, quite capable administrator. My interactions with her have proven quite beneficial, and she speaks with an authority that professional musicians can appreciate and be quiet attuned to. My only challenge with Guitar Center, is that it is a big box retailer. Typically, I patronize local mom-and-pop shops for this type of equipment. However, often in the smaller single locations the product lines offered are limited.i This is not the case at Guitar Center, as they have Merchant accounts with most leading brands in the music industry.

Bought a new ddj 1000 srt white. Came & found out it is an open box with scratches on the controller. Called the customer service & they dont have any new ones at the warehouse or in stores. These people are selling open boxes at new item prices. Wish they had 0 stars because this was a gift for my wifes birthday that has been through a lot this year & is very disappointed by this.

I have had nothing but great experiences here at the Coconut Creek Guitar Center. This is probably because I always had Steve to help me. He shows patience with all my questions, gives me his honest impressions when it came to guitars and amps. Even the one time I wasn’t helped by him, the other staff employee was just as helpful. Just because of them, I’ll continue to take my business there.

Enjoyable, clean but the young kids who hang out after lessons by front door seriously need to be told to BE QUIETER or GO OUTSIDE! Really affects guitar room ambiance at times. I have always been treated very professionally there. Some sales people are better than others but overall good experience there.

Overall a great place for the music lover in you, especially if you are into guitars. They certainly have an impressive layout. As for their service, definitely higher than anticipated. Called about an item. There was only one remaining. Stephen, the fellow who answered my call was glad to put it aside for me. When I didnt show up at the hour I said I would, he called to confirm I would still be stopping in. Thats customer service!

I have a love-hate relationship with Guitar Center. Most times, I love the convenience of it, and the employees are generally competent and kind.They can also be infuriating. The first priority of Guitar Center staff is NOT to get you in and out of there. Plan to spend at least fifteen minutes even if youre buying a set of strings. These guys can have three customers in the store and it will take a long time to get them to stop what theyre doing to help you. Its a pretty consistent experience.The three times Ive dropped off my guitars for restringing at this specific location, its like they are on sloth time. I havent given up on Guitar Center, but they test my patience. You have been warned.

Ive been to this store location twice, and both times the experience was less then exceptional. The first time the item I was looking for was not available, which is understandable. The second time, they only had the floor model. I called before hand to confirm the availability and discount for the open box item. The rep I spoke with on the phone said everything was fine and greeted me when I entered the store.The store rep grabbed the floor model for me and I picked up a few other items I needed for the studio, finally at the checkout he asked for a few minutes to get a manager. I agreed, about five minutes later the rep returned, he said the manager is on a phone meeting and will be a few more minutes. Ok, about 15 minutes later, still no manager, multiple customers have come in and out the store and keep in mind I called before hand.The manager was still in unavailable, even if she was on a call a brief hold could have handled the situation, but I just decided not to make the purchase. Even the store rep agreed I shouldnt have to wait to spend my hard earned money. So in short, 20 minutes of wasted time (I live about five minutes away) to end in no purchase.Thanks Guitar Center

The store is very clean and well-kept. The employees are very accommodating. There is no sales pressure. Its pretty cool place to just go and play a guitar or test out some equipment too. Its got a good vibe, and this overall a really good store. Sometimes the parking can be a challenge.

Well, everybody seemed absolutely friendly, until we were told that we had to pay full price for equipment that was stolen from a show. we filed a police report and unfortunately the location where the show was had no cameras. It would be nice to have been offered some sort of insurance to make sure we are covered in case of a situation like this. just a forewarning for anybody who may not be able to pay for replacement cost of equipment.

Extremely bad service; do not go there if you do not know the exact name of the instrument. I have asked for a “flute” I didn’t know that the student version is called “recorder” and the guy that “helped” roles his eyes when I ask him for the flutes. When I wanted to pay I basically had to go and chase somebody so I could pay the damn flutes

This 5 star review comes after multiple 1 star experiences at this store, specifically with two of the managers.. As a Military combat veteran, my humble opinion is these managers need a heck of a lot more training if they are expected to lead and be in charge of others. I respectfully will not name names, however, I am sure they know who they are based on many other reviews I read.With that said, walking in with a negative attitude, my experience yesterday was a 10/10. I was helped by Nick (long brown hair). Simply put, he was helpful, honest, very knowledgeable and most importantly humble. This kind of work deserves recognition. The egotistical management could learn a lot from this man.Great experience. 5 stars. Thanks Nick.

Finest air I’ve ever seen in a music store. Fair prices, constant sales, and knowledgeable staff (friendly, too) make for a really pleasant shop. I’ll admit I go there just to hang out sometimes, but I always need new strings or picks or pedals anyway.

They let me try the instruments before I buy them. I play the piano and they allow me to try their keyboard everytime I enter the building
