Worst place ever do not get. I cancelled my service since I moved and was never told anything about returning equipment. Then they contacted a debt collector that I owed them money for the equipment and the month of wifi. This would’ve been the week it was due they contacted them, however I received no notice that I had anything due. One week after they took the month of wifi money from my account without anything. You also cannot get into contact with them at all after you cancel your account. Now I have no knowledge of how to return the equipment since I can’t get into contact with them and I have despute the debt charges since they still say I owe them, but they took the money from my account already. The equipment is not free no matter what they tell you and customer service is the worst. They only try to sell you stuff and cannot get into contact with them if you have any issues

Service for myself in a studio apartment was fine, but when I got a roommate and moved, Suddenlink had to put a temporary line in the backyard, and since we were renting they werent allowed to install a permanent line because the leasing office didnt want any digging in the yard. So i asked to cancel services with them, the first representative was fairly nice about it but put me on hold for five minutes at a time twice, then handed me up to the supervisor, who was not only ARGUING with me over why I switched, but was completely rude to me and after helping just hung up. If you want rude service by all means go with Suddenlink

Their pricing is very inconsistent. I started with them with 1 gig internet for $65 a month, which went up to $130 after a year with literally no change to service - and the cheapest I could reduce it to by downgrading to 400kb was $115. Only when I call to cancel and spend 30 minutes refusing to sign up again for promotional pricing more expensive than my original (and apparently promotional) price do I get a supervisor on the phone to finalize the cancellation, and get offered $45 a month for 1 gig, for two years.I mean, the guy I talked with was honest with me and told me that they just jack up the price every year and you have to call back in for a promotion to lower it, which is the only reason Im not leaving 1 star. But its still tedious, dishonest, and annoying that I have to go through all of this just to avoid having my bill doubled for no additional benefit.Ill be updating this is the future if that $45 for 2 years suddenly goes up to $90 after a year.

Worst costumer service Ive experienced in a long time, do not give them your bank information, I did I moved and changed internet providers, Suddenlink scheduled a technician to come to my house to get their modem, I gave them my new address, he went to old address, I called again more than a few times to have them come get the box, nothing. So I get a text from them, we are going to take 100 bucks from your bank!, So I call them a few times, hours on the phone, talking to a person is almost impossible, then finally I was told they are not going to draft my account for 100 for the box, and I can take the box to FedEx and mail it. Next day they send a text thank you for the $100 we took from your bank account. Now I can ship them box and request to have money returned. Very criminal way to do business, when I closed account with suddenlink that are not stopped to be able to access my bank account any longer, I DID NOT AUTHORIZE SUDDENLINK TO DRAFT MY ACCOUNT FOR THEIR MISTAKES!They closed their offices in Clovis to pay a call center in some other country, Plateau will get my business from now on.

I currently pay for internet service through this company and let me tell you all something. If my mother hadn’t caught them taking extra money from her account we would have never known. My bill was currently at $70.39 and because I use my moms banking account... I always give her the money right back to put back in her account anyways... Suddenlink took the $70.39 and an additional $150.78. I’ve heard in the past suddenlink has stole from people in the past is it true? I don’t know but I do however know they took an unauthorized payment. Y’all be careful these people can’t be trusted clearly.

Things started out fine, but then my internet went downhill. After a few attempts at fixing it they said there wasnt anything they could do, so I canceled my service. Also, watch out for missed appointment charges. There is definitely at least one technician who likes to not show up for appointments and then put in their notes that they showed up and no one was at the address. Which results in a $60 fee and no other way to verify what they said.

I had to move very suddenly during a domestic violence issue and sudden link has been the worst with trying to help me return my stuff and stop charging me. First, they charged me for an extra month even though I had already left and supposedly canceled my account. And then I was trying to get in contact with them to get a return label and they never got back to me and their location has been closed because of COVID so I can’t drop it off. And now I supposedly have another $100 that I owe them. I’m not paying it and we will see if they get their stuff back, no one has contacted me when I’ve tried to reach out for a return shipping label.Xfinity is who I have now and they are amazing and WAYYY cheaper than the spotty internet that suddenlink provided.

So I cancalled and returned my equipment, two months later I received a bill, already written off and overdue, for the amount of the next month after I had cancelled. I was told cancelling takes a whole billing cycle and that is why I owed money... for a time I didnt even had the boxes any more because I returned them. I fought them over the phone, chat, called 3 times and I was just told the same thing, cancelling takes a whole billing cycle. Technically they charge you another month one last time. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY OUT THERE.I have been with Suddenlink for over a year because unfortunately fiber optic from Plateau is not in our area. Every phone call I have made to this company ends with me very frustrated, hung up on and not helped at all. I have had a lady WHO WAS AN EMPLOYEE OF SUDDNELINK chew me out over the phone because I turned down the cellphone service, she actually said to me “I just dont understand why you wouldn’t want to save money, its crazy that you dont want to save money” then proceeded to hang up on me. I had another guy not understand what I needed help with and kept telling me the same thing over and over and I tried to explain what I needed help with MULTIPLE times and MULTIPLE ways and he said “If this is how this phone call is gonna go then we should just end this now”. And for the first year I paid $74.09 a month and then after that years I started getting charged $91.41 a month and they kept telling me it was “LATE FEES” when no where on the bill it said late and I paid well in advance. Lastly, my husband and I are moving and so I called to cancel my service and was told that they would shut it off at the end of my billing cycle, which is March 6, 2020 and that was actually perfect since we are moving until closer to that date. I called to set up the shut off on February 20, 2020. We got home after work that day and the internet was not working so we reset the router and every device and yet still no service. So I called. I was told that when you schedule a disconnect/shut off the put you on something called “PENDING DISCONNECT” and that shuts off your connection the the internet. I still need my internet until the 6th and its the 20th. So we are paying for the entire month but have almost two weeks of no service. But the reason they scheduled it for the 6th was because that’s the end of the billing cycle??? That makes absolutely no sense. Why would you say you’re disconnected on a later date but not provide you PAYING CUSTOMER service until that day. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE COMPANY. If I could give negative stars I would. I will be telling everyone I know looking for internet services to steer clear of Suddenlink because they take advantage of their customers. I will never use Suddenlink ever again and I truly feel sorry for any one who is currently with them, or who are thinking about using them and has not seen reviews or been warned. WORST COMPANY.

For a month or two, they offered a plan where I could get unlimited Data. HOWEVER, they changed my plan without informing me back to the Data Cap plan. Im sure thats in their service agreement, but thats plain rude to make that kind of change without informing the consumer. The only plus was that their service technicians were decent people and the gal I usually talked on the phone with was polite. If I could give less stars I would. We were charged 3 times in a month, then told we were still behind. Finally had someone looking into it but they didnt call back. Now we should not pay for at least 3 cycles but still get billed. Forget trying to talk to a person unless you have an hour to sit on hold, only to be transferred again. The people in the local office have no clue. Went in to change out a box that was broken and left the store after 30 minutes without a new box because their useless tech support cant help them get the box entered into the system. This is not rocket science. Scan the box, give box to customer...done. Hey Suddenlink, call Xfinity in Denver and get some tips on how to run your business (they are not much better but at least they know how to switch out a box in the store) and they would have had payment issues fixed in the first call!. First off, if you are thinking about starting services, save yourself alot of hassel and money, find anyone else. I was a long time customer years ago and they where a good company. Im not sure why policies have changed or why they have decided that Customer Service is no longer important but they have. I restarted services with them 1.5 years ago, soon as the promotion period was over my bill started going up and up every time I turned around. I tried to lower my services for a smaller bill and got bullied and pushed into keeping the higher one by being told it was a bad move and id end up paying more etc. I finally gave up and found another company that would charge me less than half of what I pay to suddenlink for even better service and the bill never changes. I take my equipment into Suddenlink to turn in and am advised a new billing cycle started 2 days prior and I would be billed for the next 29 days into the next month and half to pay for services that I will not be receiving, per their new policy. The other issue I had was at install the tech drilled a hole in my outside wall bigger than a quarter and left it, I had to patch it up to keep bugs and everything else out. I will never be going back to Suddenlink they have went down hill so fast, are rude and dont care about customer service at all. My original review of Suddenlink pointed out the Service was deeply flawed, but otherwise functional. Unfortunately recent circumstances have forced me to revise that opinion.Internet and Television would frequently black-out for several hours at a time most days of the week. The only way to fix that was to call Customer Support and have the connection reset on their end. They also charge exorbitant fees just to have a standard internet connection, and put data-limits on all but the most expensive plans. But the straw the broke this camels back was after two years of being happily disconnected from their service, a Debt Collection Agency calls me demanding money. A Debt Collection Agency so bad that Google calls them a scam, and where the first link that pops up is How to sue them for violating FDCPA when I looked them up on Google. Personally, I think the decision to even consider such a company speaks VOLUMES about Suddenlink as a corporation. And why are they demanding money? Because apparently the Suddenlink Rep that I turned my equipment into lost it. Two years ago.Now if you think theres a piece missing from this story, youre right. They never once e-mailed me about the missing equipment. They never sent me a bill. Not even a letter in the mail aside from their pointless ads. I hear about this issue, for the first time, two years after I disconnected service and stopped receiving any form of contact from Suddenlink.Thats what has me really steamed about this. If this were a simple issue I could have resolved it years ago, but now debt collectors are getting involved because they couldnt even afford a courtesy call.Suddenlink went from a disappointing service provider to one of the worst companies Ive ever had the displeasure of associating with. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Well first off, Ive had suddenlink for over a year. Always paid $84.86 for just Internet, 400 mbs, now they are charging me $101, without ever giving notice the bill was going to go up. When the installer came last year he was rude, and VERY slow. He stayed in his van a half an hour before he started. My wife called to ask why the bill went up and the lady played dumb and pretended like she didnt know why it went up for 20 mins, then says oh our price went up. For all the people complaining about speeds, they are just disgruntled or idiots. If you have a cheap router (less than $100) youll never get anywhere near the speeds they offer. I have a $350 router, paid for 400mbs download speed, but heres the catch, a router splits that 400mbs into 10. So thats 40 mbs download speed on 10 devices if your lucky. If you know how to work your router and change settings its possible to get higher speeds. My download speed on ps4 was a solid 256mbs download speed, and my other devices shared the other 144mbs. The bad thing about suddenlink is their customer service, their pricing, and their lack of customer appreciation. Go to plateau for fiber. $70 for 1g download speed, no data caps!

Suddenlink does not care about their customers. I went with barely any service for a week and a half, about 1 mbps to 3 mbps. Finally the issue was resolved, so I called to request a refund for the period of time when I didnt receive the high speed service I pay an exorbitant amount for. I spend about 20 minutes on hold, then fight about details with a call center agent, Gabby, for another 15 minutes. She says she can only reimburse for a few days of service, so I request to speak to someone above her to get the full week and a half refund. She gives me a number to... optimum, an entirely different company. I call optimum, get hung up on after waiting for another 20 minutes, and call suddenlink back.I report this blatant disregard for the customer to the next agent to answer who was actually helpful and seemed to be genuinely concerned for what was happening. I report the details of my poor service, and he puts me on hold while he works the issue. 15 minutes later, he hangs up on me with no warning! I call back and am told that they are now closed. I called more than an hour prior to their closing time. It should not take more than 5 minutes to resolve this issue- its ridiculous to force your customers to wait this long. If you cant resolve the issue before closing time, you should stay on the line until the customer is helped, or at least TELL THEM YOU ARE CLOSING!Suddenlink, this is not how to treat your customers. A refund for poor service should be automatic, not something we have to fight for. This is tantamount to theft. Many of us here serve in the military and dont have the free time to deal with this lack of customer respect.

We have had suddenlink since February and everything was fine at first, but 2 month into it we started to have issues with our router, the signal, and their service. And it is only getting worse. They have had to come to our house because of issues with the router that we reviewed from them, and the signal it put off. From the last visit we were charged 200 dollars and we were told they would request a refund, but we have to pay the full amount so we dont get a late fee (they cant refund or prevent late fees), then our account will be credited for next month if the request goes through. Suddenlink is horrible!!! I’ve had them as my internet provider for the past 6years ( they are literally the only ones my area offers) and my bill gets higher and higher every month! The internet sucks too!!! Customer service sucks too! They need to go out of business

Apparently its ok for this business to bill you incorrectly, tell you incorrectly that you dont need to return your equipment, then not follow through sending you necessary packaging to return said equipment after they decide they want it back and are billing you for it, then turn you into collections for the bill for the equipment they said you didnt need to return!!!! Chose another service if you dont want in this mess!

Such poor customer service. Everytime I have an issue I dread calling them because they are always so aggressive and rude even though I am polite and professional. Ive been a customer for 3 1/2 years and Ive had the same issue everytime I get a new debit card. They end up charging a late fee even after I have attempted to call and change my info & this most recent time they didnt waive the late fee due to new policy changes. The only reason I have them is because they are the only company around here who doesnt use satellite systems which I cant have in my apartment complex.

I was told over the phone my internet would be shut off the 24th of February. That my last bill has already been paid and I will not loose any services. When I turned in my motum on the 27th as instructed, I was told I will have another bill the 13th of March. I have been told my internet will not shut off until the 13th of march but still had to turn in my motum by the 27th. I called to get refunded or at least get internet put into my house again and they refuse. This is the worst company I have ever worked with. If you want internet in the Clovis area, go with plateau. Not this excuse of a company. They will screw you over if they get the chance. If I could rate them 0 starts I would.

I have seen a lot of people here complain about their experience with Suddenlink but so far the experience has been pretty positive for me. The two big things you have to know is, never rent out any providers equipment because it will be guaranteed to be expensive and break all the time. Second, know how much you use, a lot of people think the cheapest one works because its internet or that the most expensive one works (your needs vastly vary). Probably one big thing you may need to know is that all speeds promised by Suddenlink are hypothetical speeds. Ideal conditions that could provide you the down and up speeds they claim they should deliver. Big factors effecting their internet speed is 1. modem, 2. router, 3. the actual technology connecting to the router, 4. the current usage of your area(can cause some latency). So far the only thing I dont like is how antiquated their online system seems, but I really am enjoying the speeds I am getting for 63 bucks I get 200mbps down and 20mbps up. Sure more is always better, but even a power user can tell you that getting the gigabit tier is a hefty investment. All your tech has to support higher speeds and then on top of that you will never really get too close to 1gbps. Do your research, and any cable company is not that terrible to deal with (until maybe they have an outage)

You pay for 150mb connection which will operate around 25mb. To top off that you will not receive the advertised speeds, you will be trottled when they over load their NODES.Present cost : 150mb/8mb - $120 / month. Throw in an additional cost for unlimited data, otherwise youre capped at 500gb (not good if you have a PS4 or XB1 where you utilized digital downloads, as it could cost you 10 to 20 extra if you go over your data cap. That means youll pay a digital shipping fee of $10 to $20 bucks for something you already paid for.) Back in 2009 the company started screwing customers with data caps and various other cost. It was all an attempt to recover the cost of lost cable television subscribers. Cable cutters everywhere utilize services such as Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, etc... were extremely pleased with the service until they started price fixing customers to make up for lost revenue. Wrong move, big time. And just for clairfication, I was a customer of theirs from 2000 to 2016, Ive watched it start broadband here at 5mb connections all the way to present; consider me a loyal customer but not by choice. Now that alternatives are here, GOODBYE SUDDENLINK! Theyve lost over 30% of their consumer base in the this last year (2016). This should speak volumes!Look, be wise and dont support a company who gouges their customers. If you live in the Clovis NM, area reach out to Plateau and get their 1GB Fiber service. Theres no data cap, no hidden BS fees, better service performance and its CHEAPER.Plateau - 1 GB Fiber, No data Cap, $70 / monthSuddenlink - 150mb, 500gb Data Cap, $120 / month.Do the math and save yourself some money and headaches with their poor service performance.

Ive had Suddenlink for almost 4 years now and Ive never had a good experience. I will get at more 30 mbps (paying for 100) and thats rare. Most of the time its less than 5 mbps, which currently its at 2. Whats really sad though is there is NO BETTER INTERNET where I live in Clovis atm so Im stuck. Ive had techs come out for months trying to fix the problem, but nine times out of ten when they show up there is no problem. Its always at night when their office is closed and they cant do anything about it, not that they could in the first place. Ive had at least ten people come to my house to fix my slow speeds, but it never changes. When they leave, anywhere from an hour to a day later, its back to crappy speeds. Sudden link is a great name. At least they arent lying to you. It really is sudden whether or not you get internet service at all. I wont be a customer for much longer, thank GOODNESS. Fair warning to those who move to Clovis, look for places that have Plateau Fiber. I promise you that youll be better off if you want any sort of internet connection. Dont go with Sudden link. Never go with Suddenlink. Also, the only reason this gets a star at all is because I cant submit it with 0 like it deserves.

We decided to try out suddenlink, as opposed to using satellite TV like we usually do. We have had suddenlink for almost a month and have already had multiple problems with the company and their service technicians. To start, we ordered service, the installer came out and I informed him that I only had one tv because the other two were in storage. He said it wasnt a problem and that he could set up one tivo, and that I could get the rest installed later without any additional charge; that was a lie. Now Im spending more money to get them to come out and install the mini tivos because the technician wouldnt just install them the first time. On top of that, we had ordered the phone with our package and the installer forgot or ran out of phone boxes and told me he would come back the next day to install that. TWO DAYS LATER, a different tech showed up and said that the other never should have told me he would come the next day and that he should have just gone and got a phone box. After the new tech installed the phone box, I was told that the first person could have set up the mini tivo, but they prefer not to. Thanks to their preferences, we are now paying more. Then we call to set up the installing of the mini tivos, and the customer service rep is rude and blames us for I guess believing the people who work for their company. Maybe that was my mistake - thinking that their representatives arent lieing to me. We probably wont keep the service much longer by the way its already played out.

They charge you in advance. You are charged late fees when you arent late. Bill is never the same and goes up to often. They so not upgrade equipment. They charge you a monthly charge to purchase but continue to charge after its paid off. They will not allow you to disconnect service on the date you return equipment but at the end of their billing cycle. Then they charge late fees and another month of service. Customer service over the phone is useless.
