We stumbled upon Posh luckily as we finished brunch and were strolling along for some donuts. We passed posh and decided to stop in and take a look. Posh is a unique little antique/gift store downtown. They have a lot of neat items and tend to focus on Paris/French dining items. With a few English things thrown in. I would say it is a 50/50 mix of vintage and new. They did have some amazing vintage bar items. As well as lots of neat old European silverware. Now pretty much every antique/gift store has unique items. And I dont review every shop I go to, what made me review posh was how wonderful all the staff was. Every staff member was super engaging friendly and felt like your neighborhood best friend. This is a must stop for shopping engage with the staff they love and know their business.

We were walking back to our hotel and noticed this place and decided to check it out. We bought something small. The staff was very nice to the people in front of us and their entire demeanor changed when helping us. Didnt smile, barely talked, and just overall cold. Which I found odd. We went into the establishment not knowing what it was, while there are alot of nice items... We dont have a use for most of the things in there but we still wanted to support and buy something. I just wont go back when we visit again and Im sure they would prefer that anyway.

The Magnificent Mile has mostly big name, big box stores. We wanted more of a boutique setting. This filled the bill. Nice gifts. Heavy French and British influence based on fact that owners, when we visited, were former flight attendants on Transatlantic flights. Very nice staff.

Beautiful little hidden gem! Love all the amazing stuff in this store. If I wasnt traveling super light I probably would have tried to just purchase everything in the store lol. The aesthetic is very French boutique, and they have so many gorgeous pieces, from tea sets, to absinthe sets, to antique jewelry, to fun souvenir pottery. The staff that was working (not sure if owner or staff) was very nice, knowledgeable and just fun to talk to. I definitely will be back anytime I come to Chicago.

Selection is well curated! Most of the items I was attracted to were imported from UK and France. Love the posters and the cheese knives and tiny spoons and the tea cloths and the bowls oh and the yummy jam, hot chocolate in a square tin (delicious by the way) and... and ... Just go there. Youll enjoy browsing but I bet youll end up with a bag in your hand. Cant wait to go back! Staff is friendly. Closest garage is located about a block or two from the store. I came from the garage and noticed their store window. I had to go in. One of the best decisions I made on this trip (next to having cookies at Stans and taking the architecture river tour - highly recommend) Street parking available.

I seldom visit Chicago without paying a visit to P.O.S.H. Even if you dont need anything, this is just a fun store to browse. They have a wonderful array of antique and vintage finds from Europe with a heavily French leaning. Youll find interesting sets of dishes from hotels of yesteryear, nostalgic home accents and decorations, a great collection of holiday wares during the winter season. The staff are always pleasant and helpful.

Have been meaning to come by here and I was not disappointed! Stocked with beautiful china - some vintage, some new - lovely tea towels and colorful maps, chic matchboxes and antique match strikers set amidst old leatherback French novels, vintage suitcases and thick brocade drapes make it a definite visit. Plus the lady working there was so nice.

If you are looking for unique finds for your kitchen and dining room you need to look no further than P.O.S.H.! Honestly as a great area for antiques and vintage goods you can find quite a bit else here well but my wife is a foodie and chef so unique kitchen items are always what I have my eyes open for - P.O.S.H. delivers it in spades! Its a bit of a hike north from where I usually tend to be in the city but the few times Ive been there Ive struck gold on each occasion. From glassware (I found a great wine glass here!) to dishes to serving pieces to storage and more - you can almost always find something fun here. While the prices can absolutely rise up there (it is in the heart of a city and they import originality from around the world) there is items in all price ranges and budgets with items on sale as well.If you are in the middle of the city and want to find a gift that falls into the unique category I suggest checking out P.O.S.H. for anyone who likes vintage or for those who are comfortable in the kitchen. (Again theres a slew of other items here as well but if thats who youre buying a gift for you cant go wrong!)

Thank you, boss!Everything POSH carries has been carefully selected and my eyes were all googly the entire time I was in the store. So cute! And also thank you SO MUCH for recommending Andersonville!
