They only get 2 stars because I hear they actually have guns. I tried to go shop for a birthday gift to myself, and as were walking up the clerk walks up and locks the door, and turns off the open sign. It was an hour and a half before closing. It wouldve been my first visit. Will never go their. C.A.G does FFL cheaper, and actually wants your business.

Decent store, not much of a selection. Im from out of town just stopped in to spend money, immediately did not feel welcome inside. Asked questions and got short answers. Pro tip from a gun enthusiast: What makes a gun store without question is the people who run it. I own quite a bit of firearms and have been to many stores lately to try and help out businesses during COVID. My money was determined to be spent elsewhere within two minutes of entering, work on your small talk big boss behind the counter, it goes a long way ;)

The two workers did not come off as very pleasant people to deal with, many of the prices on guns were a decent amount higher than you can get online and shipped somewhere local for next to nothing.

Bought a firearm summer of 2020. Not sure if he works there today but the dude behind the counter is a bit of a tool and he got short with one of my friends when she went in about a week after. So I took my business elsewhere. bad vibes.

Im a Military Veteran that has been in multiple gun stores in a multitude of states from NC, VA, MA, TX, AZ and the list goes on. I have never ever received this level of care, respect, and knowledge. The people that work here are awesome but they also do great work. I had an AR built here and it was a great experience. This is my goto gun store. Everyone should shop here before they go anywhere else.

I just want to agree with all the good things people have been saying about this place. The main difference other than the streamlined, uncluttered look of the place are the people that work there. They are very sociable, extremely knowledgeable and always make you feel like youre the only customer in the store. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I used Albemarle County Firearms for an FFL transfer from Buds Gun Shop. I had a great experience. The staff was very organized and had the transfer finished inside of 10 minutes. They have a decent selection of parts, accessories, pistols, rifles, and even a few cans for sale. Prices are fair. I recommend Albemarle County Firearms if your in the greater Cville area.

Great service. Did FFL transfer for gun bought on-line. Dealer in MA had trouble receiving fax/e-mail - so people at Albemarle County Firearms sent THREE times and phone calls to make sure transaction got done in ONE day. Very dedicated customer service.

Albemarle County Firearms is the kind of store that you can go into and be in for hours. Not because you are waiting in line, or because the employees in there are trying to throw you a long-winded sales pitch to buy the most expensive things in the store. The reason is simply because it is such a great atmosphere that you never want to leave. ALL the employees there (especially the owner) are more occupied with chatting with you and running around the store showing you all the coolest new guns and addons (or talking about pretty much anything), than with trying to sell you a bunch of crap you dont need. They are all attentive, proffessional, and just plain nice people to deal with. As such, I highly recommend Albemarle County Firearms for any firearm related business or questions.

FFL Transfer fees are more than competition especially if you have two in one day. If buying gun online, search local FFL competitors and save. Dont know about gun selection and price.

A couple of years ago. I purchased an Aim Pointe Lazer site for my AR-15. At that time they also installed picatinni rails for me. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Today after cleaning my p238, I was putting the firearm back together and I got the slide and barrel all jamed, the slide was stuck in a akward position and I couldnt move the slide at all. They fixed it for me on the spot for free of charge.

They made my 1st pistol purchase an awful experience. I was a student (had a very very limited means of getting the 2nd ID requirement fulfilled). I used a current apartment lease, which was all I had. After the purchase was over one of them called me and said they had a change of heart and the current lease wasnt going to be enough. Of course as a 1st purchaser you are then terrified that some treacherous was broken and you have to fix it. Now scared/nervous they say its just nice for them to have. What is a student supposed to do? Buy a house next week to make one of those contracts good enough to be a 2nd ID?

Great service as FFL or for purchase from stock; I have used them for both. Respectful, professional, and quick, plus fair prices on new firearms (paid well under retail for a small SA Ruger, even tho it was in the post-Sandy Hook months when many dealers were price-gouging).Good stuff - I plan to go back this week for another FFL transfer and maybe a purchase if they have what I want in stock.
