Dave came to our rescue today! We (stupidly) let our gas run out and while our heat is electric, our stove is gas. We would’ve had to live off of take-out and anything we could cook in the microwave for a week if they hadn’t been able to squeeze us in. It was an extra charge for the rush but definitely worth it. Dave was quick and he made sure the pilots of our fireplaces were lit and everything worked properly before leaving. While we definitely won’t be letting the gas run out again, it’s nice to know that Tiger Fuel is there if we need them in a rush.

We just dropped Amerigas, who never notified us in the 15 years we had an account with them of an upcoming delivery. It was nice to open an email from Tiger Fuel notifying us of our first delivery tomorrow. Amerigas was notified to pick up their propane tank on September 4th, We were told it would be picked up on 9/27, when they did not show, we were told it would now be 10/20 before they removed the tank. They will charge us $114 to pick up the tank and give no credit for the 50 gallons of gas that are it the tank that we paid for.Good bye Amerigas and hello Tiger

Smelled gas on a Weekend and called Tiger who promptly dispatched Greg Scott to our premises. He inspected the works and put us at ease in his assessment that there was no danger to us. The smell turned out to be coming from a secondary (sewer) source. He was most instructive and leftme with a far better working knowledge of what I need to be aware of withmy system. I am writing to tell you how much I appreciate what you, your company and its employees at the Lovingston branch did to help my family out during this past week of February 16.As you know the storm that came through our area was pretty severe in terms of snow, ice and wind. The private road on top of Elk Mountain got hit particularly hard and is reportedly one of the two most impactful weather events here in memory. Lots of downed trees and limbs, a power outage and icy, slippery roads were obstructing access and making life difficult for all our neighborhood.We have a large automatic generator, and I typically don’t worry too much about such outages. The bad news for us was that I miscalculated our propane needs. A window replacement construction project had to be interrupted, unfinished, due to the covid pandemic. Unbeknownst to me, insulation was missing that caused an excessive use of propane in our home. At the worst possible time, with the power out, our generator quit due my error in running our propane tank out of gas.Your staff came to the rescue in what was rapidly deteriorating into a dangerous situation. My husband, is very frail and unable to be easily moved. The house was starting to get very cold. The driver, Robby, who was dispatched to fill our tank, was just able to get up the road, but unable to drive his truck into our driveway, as our driveway had been all torn up from a previous snow event. Lisa, in the office, was very kind and assured me that they would do whatever it took to get me propane. Night was nearly upon us and we had NO backup plan to keep my husband safe and out of danger.You dispatched a four-wheel drive truck with a crane and two large portable tanks to our home. After managing to maneuver onto our driveway, the crew of Mike and Jimmy expertly lifted the tanks into position down a hill by our home tank. They had to wedge rocks below the tanks to prevent them from sliding down the hill. Once positioned, they connected the gas, but the generator would not come on. Rather than leave me in this predicament, they troubleshot and repaired the generator. Once we had the power on, they still weren’t satisfied. They insisted on coming into to ensure that our furnace was operating.After all that, Mike calculated the usage of the gas in the portable tanks, in the event the power company would not be able to restore the power for several days (which was the current estimate, as there were numerous breakages of the lines.) He insisted that we have a plan for either coming out to refill the portable tanks, or to access our home tank, so that we would not run out in the middle of the night on the weekend. True to form, late Friday, a tanker was dispatched to our home and this time was able to make the delivery.We were literally saved by the thoughtful and persistent efforts of your company and its employees. I don’t even like to think how badly things could have gone for us without your assistance.Forever grateful and indebted to you all,Janet Rollings and Haskell Rhett

Great service!! Called because our pilot light went out on our gas fireplace. Tiger fuel made our appt promptly and the technician called when he was on his way. He found out line was a bit clogged so offered up their cleaning service. I agreed. He spent an hour cleaning every aspect of our fireplace including the glass which is sparkling!! He was very professional, nice and wore his mask entire time. I can’t say enough good things about tiger fuel. We were having issues with our generator and gas stove. When I explained the symptoms Greg Scott, the technician, went right to the source of the problem. Turned out the remote vent line could not be found and had somehow gotten lost underground and filled with ground water. He replaced the line and everything is back running like new.

Had an excellent experience with the recent installation of a new propane - fired whole house generator. Fred Brown arranged to have Tiger technicians on-site at the same time the generator installers were there and by the end of the day, we had an alternate power source for use in emergencies! I enjoy the service with Tiger. I am an on-call customer. I have not made a recent purchase because my heating system has thermostat problems.This is not Tigers concern but my concern is that I (being new to the area) do not know an honest and reliable technician. I have called the one person recommended by Tiger SEVERAL times but he has not answered my call. That makes me more disappointed in the recommended technician than Tiger. I wish that Tiger had more reliable recommendations for me.But as it stands, I am in a difficult spot. As soon as I can resolve these issues, I will again out a tiger in my tank.
