I absolutely love this place! They have the best coffee ever and such a fun/chill vibe. They also have a lovely patio so you can enjoy your coffee in the warm Charleston sunshine. Also a daily selection of pastries and a few breakfasts options. The folks that work there are delightful!

This local coffee shop is money. High quality coffee, tea, pastries and a limited menu of some other good items. The avocado toast is excellent. The crew is always pleasant and I wish I lived closer. Highly recommend!

Good space, very convenient location for me, nice employees. I want to support this business. But they dont ever serve dark roast coffee. They only serve light roasts apparently due to a philosophy of preserving integrity of the farmers and beans and such, or so I was told when I asked. Highfalutin is an appropriate name. There is an implication that dark roast is less than and so are you for wanting it. I dont care. Just give me a French roast Americano or macchiato! A barista was kind enough once to offer a sampling after I mentioned not enjoying the previous cups Id tried. I simply dont enjoy light roast coffee. Its both disappointing and a deal breaker for me that its the only offering. If having such a limited range is a trend, I hope it ends soon.

I have to pop in to Highfalutin and have a coffee whenever I am in town. It’s my favorite coffee shop ! The owners are so nice too! They carry the highest quality coffee beans! I also order their coffee for my home (in Florida) from them online. Highly recommend 💜

By far the best coffee in the Charleston area. Single origin coffees are hand selected with care. Fantastic pastries and a beautiful patio seating area. Never once have I been disappointed in the 3 years I have been coming here.

Big disappointment. Only lightly roasted available the cashier said. Its the trend, he said. So no dark roast for those of us that like the taste of coffee and not just the taste of cream and sugar. A so called coffee shop, but no dark roast to be found. Very disappointing. I can only imagine what saves this place is because its only feets away from a tire shop and the only thing open this early in the morning. Yuck!

This is a neat local coffee shop in a neat little part of West Ashley. The shaded patio is really nice, the coffee is tasty and the people are friendly. Parking seems to be decent in the late morning.

I am a visitor from out-of-state who was delighted to discover the delicacy of Highfalutin Coffee Roasters. I ordered a Dirty Chai Latte and a Pecan Coffeecake Muffin. (I couldnt help but take a bite of the muffin before I snapped the photo) 😋The service I received from the gentleman at the register was pleasant and professional. He was knowledgeable and helped me decide my beverage with patience, respect, and kindness.The quality of the products was exceptional. The roast of the bean that made the espresso which went into my latte was flavorful and bold without being bitter. The muffin I selected was delicious and moist. Upon request, the gentleman who took and completed my order heated the muffin to a point I am calling just right.I am more than pleased with Highfalutin Coffee Roasters and strongly recommend it to all (local or traveling) who thoroughly enjoy carefully crafted coffee, excellent customer service, and high quality products.

I wandered in here on a hot weekday afternoon while waiting for my husband to finish up his haircut across the street. I got a peach iced tea that was very refreshing! The cashier was polite and the shop was clean. Theres even a nice shaded area to enjoy outside. The whole place had a very nice vibe. If Im ever in the area in the morning, I would go back again to try their coffee.

Really disappointing. Staff wasn’t very friendly when we entered. We ordered some vanilla lattes (very basic) and it tasted like warm milk.

Elevates coffee as wine elevates grape juice. Amazing enough, roasting of the coffee beans is done on the premises. Even the brewing is beautifully executed all in service of an incredible mug of exotic flavor notes. Nothing typical about this coffee - so glad that theyre around. Oh and the service is fantastic - great owners!

One of the things about higher end coffee shops is that they can often feel pretentious. Not so here. Humble and kind people serving coffee roasted right on sight. It doesnt get much better.

This coffee shop has a small menu, but what they do, they do well. We had house specialty “The Dandy” - an iced cortado with a raw sugared rim. Very tasty and unique. The ambiance on the patio is very nice; grape vines and lights overhang the seating area. Seating is socially distanced, but there is plenty of room for customers to find a seat. When we went, things weren’t too busy. If you are nearby and looking for a caffeine/coffee fix, definitely check out Highfalutin Coffee Roasters (formerly Classic Coffee).

So I went to get my car worked on at Geralds tires and they recommended this place to me. I immediately fell in love with it. This is my new coffee place.

The place was cozy. Coffee was good, not great. Blueberry muffin was delicious. Service is friendly but on the slow side. They have free WiFi, tables and sofas as well as outdoor seating.

My absolute favorite coffee shop in town! Adam is both very nice and very knowledgeable about coffee and they always have a great selection of beans. Usually two very good options for drip and maybe half a dozen for pour overs. Coffee on par or better than the other great shops in Charleston (Second State, Kudu) and none of the pretension.

This is hands down the best pizza in Kansas City!!! If you want amazing cheesiness glory then look no further because in the heart of Kansas City, KS there is a little piece of heaven. My favorite is getting the special which is two slices of any pizza and a drink for $6! The chicken parm subs are also amazing. Also I you are not in the mood for pizza dont hesitate to order their lasagna or their spaghetti

As good of coffee as youre going to get anywhere.This quiet, unassuming coffee shop walks a perfect overall balance between hipster artisan, well crafted coffee, regular daily stop and quiet study area.They have a small crew of regular faces so its always familiar and welcoming. Adam Hunt, the owner, is likely one of the (if not THE) most experienced coffee program operators in the city, just running a nice, comfortable store. Jordan and Mike, the two daily baristas aside from Adam, do not forget a face and are genuinely passionate about their job.I dont post reviews often, but this place is worth it.

Been my go-to coffee and art dealer for 5 years, now. It was great as Classic Coffee, but I think its only gotten better under new management. The furniture has gotten a much needed update, and there is more table and chair space. Always a great selection of art by local artists. The family who runs the place is darling and always helpful with questions. The only way they could improve is to bring back the ham and swiss croissants from a few years back.

A great artisanal coffee shop. Come here for good coffee. Try their own roasted coffee. They have tables set up with a bar and outdoor seating. Its a great place when working remotely and need to get some work done. This can be a casual meeting place for work or pleasure.

The cold brew and the selection of other beverages and pastries are awesome. There is a nice outdoor patio to enjoy.

I came upon Highfalutin Coffee Roasters by happenstance today while waiting for my rear tires to be replaced at Gerald’s (they are great - five stars). The first barista I spoke with was friendly and recommended “The Dandy” which is an iced espresso with honey? Or something? I don’t know a lot about coffee but it was delightful. I sat outside on the patio in the unusually warm January weather and got some work done. The patio is surrounded by flower boxes which could use some TLC (I am happy to help - it’s what I do for a living). I went in for a second drink and a scone (cheese, very large, perfectly warmed) and a second barista recommended to me the honey lavender iced latte to which I said, “Yes.” I am drinking it now and thoroughly enjoying it. Well done Highfalutin! Call me about the flowers.

I adore this place! Ive been recommending it to friends and co-workers and they seem to like it as much as I do. I went in again today and I hadnt been in several months. It was really busy in mid-afternoon. Really gratifying to see. Coffee is excellent and the food is passable. I think they get their croissants from Normandy farms and they burn theirs. I know it says Normandy (as in Normandy France) farms on the door to that place but they have no clue how to bake a croissant. But back to Classic Coffee. The service is great and friendly and I really like the idea of the outdoor seating for a coffee spot. So CC you are on the right path but maybe ditch that vendor. Croissants are supposed to be light golden brown, not the dark brown color of ear wax.

I recently relocated to the Charleston area and have been looking for a good coffee roaster. This is the one! Great FRESHLY roasted beans and the owner/roaster is not embarrassed to put the actual roast date on the bag....unlike most of the other coffee roasters in the area.Highly recommended!!!

The new owners are so friendly and personable, I always end up having a great conversation with them every time I go in. Great coffee at a reasonable price!The walls are decorated with local artist pieces that is for purchase. I love seeings local businesses supporting others in the community.If you are looking for a great place to work from or study, this is the place. I am not really a fan. I dont like the dim lighting and the seating is limited. It goes for a fancy, modern look but serves cappuccinos in disposable paper cups. The cappuccino I had on my two visits was nothing special. This place lacks the character that Gala across the road has!

This is my go-to coffee shop to work on my laptop and read. On nice days, my dog and I enjoy their beautiful patio too. The same customers are there time and time again, so it feels like we have a little coffee shop community. Also, I love that it is a local business and not a corporate conglomerate like Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, etc.

Jordan, the barrista, was very friendly and made the best hot chai Ive ever had. My friend got hot tea served in a china cup and saucer!

My husband and I were really pleased with this coffee shop! They do their own roasting and they have a variety of syrups to pick from. The lattes we ordered came out very fast and even though the espresso roast was a little light for my personal taste, it was still a good drink. The milk was steamed well and there wasnt too much or too little syrup. My husband also got a snack from the case and he enjoyed it a lot! I wish I would have gotten some of their bulk coffee that they have available on the wall, but I was just in town for business and had nowhere to put it!Oh, theres also a cute little sitting area outside! If Im ever back in town when its not cold, Im looking forward to another drink on that patio!

Each time I go to Classic, either with a friend or alone, the coffee is delightful. Not only are they friendly, the coffee is quality. It is hard to find a good cup; but Classic stays true to their reputation in our community. Support local!

The absolute best chai latte I have ever had! So creamy, I get the largest size every time. Love that its locally owned and the staff is also SUPER nice. They also have a really cute patio outside right in front and free parking. Great for studying, chilling with friends, or just to go by yourself.*UPDATE: the chai latte under new management is not as good as the old one when it was named Classic Coffee*
