Great Grapes is an excellent wine shop no matter your level of wine knowledge. If you are new to wine, knowledgeable staff can guide you to just the right choice in a variety of price points. If you are wine savvy, youll be delighted.I particularly enjoy their backroom where they have deep discounts and odd lots. Its a great place to score a bargain.Whether you searching for an expensive Barlolo or a Thursday night sipper, this is the place. Youll find quality international and domestic wines often at lower prices than the beverage wines sold in the grocery store. There are plenty of deals too.I always look forward to my visits to Great Grapes. I know youll be pleased when you visit.

I came here looking for a specific type of wine, but they didn’t carry it. The man helping me (not sure if he was the owner or regular employee) was quite rude, and he asked me if I was going to come back if he ordered a case for me. I assured him I would, gave him all of my information, but I was never contacted. I’m a very loyal customer whenever I feel a place appreciates my business, and unfortunately this place won’t ever get my business because of this.

Ive always loved this place, but since theyve expanded and added a room of special deals, I can afford to go here so much more often. Everyone is willing to help and Gene has never failed to give excellent recommendations! If I were to improve it I would add a wine bar so I could get even more time to chat wine!

This place is a hidden gem. The staff are some of the most knowledgeable and passionate people in the wine business. They have a great selection of natural wines and the store is brilliantly merchandised. In addition to a great selection of wines from around the world they have a small but well curated collection of craft beer, cheese, balsamic vinegars and olive oil. This is exactly the kind of place every town without a great wine shop wishes they had.

Every time I shop here, my experience is amazing. For the better part of a decade the owner and staff have never given me bad advice or suggestions. They have great high end but also balance that out with the best bang for your buck options. Stop in and you will not be disappointed.

This store has a great selections of craft beer along with their selection of wines as well as po phenomenal customer service. I will be a frequent customer.I went in the other day to buy some German beer for my father in law (that he liked for Christmas) and they only one left. Great Grapes came to the rescue and ordered some more and they were in by the next day! Furthermore I quickly inquired about getting some beer glasses made by the same company and they were able to order and get me some glasses to go along with the beer.

I like community wine shops. The interaction is warm, and service is more personal than the big stores. The plaza its in has a lot of great, local shops of quality.

This is a wonderful locally owned and operated wine shop with an excellent variety of wines to choose from. The owner and his staff are quite helpful in assisting you with your wine selections and will even special order wines for you. I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. It will always be my go to store for my favorite wines.

Great Grapes is our favorite local wine shop in Cary. They are knowledgeable and can point you towards any wine you desire. They do tastings on Saturdays which includes information about the wine, the region, etc. They also have special tasting events throughout the year which are a lot of fun. Prices are very fair, especially if you find something in the Deals section. They have a small selection of beer as well.

I can always count on excellent advice every time I go in. It doesnt matter if Im on a budget, or looking for an unusual flavor that some family member remembered having one time a couple years ago, they have always come through for me. Its one of those places you have to experience for yourself to appreciate all they can and happily offer you. All of this is done with friendly people who seem to really enjoy what they do, quite refreshing nowadays!

Once you have introduced yourself to Great Grapes Personnel and sampled the first wine you purchase, you can return and comment and they start to track your taste preferences. After a few experiences, you can walk in and they will recommend a wine which exactly fits your preferences and your tastes. Rarely has this occurred in my lifetime! They have never led me in the wrong direction and I have been a loyal customer for several years now. Matt and Gene are well prepared and knowledgeable and can make recommendations that can meet your special needs. Give them a try, you wont be sorry!

Fantastic wine collection. They have some really good wine that you can get in the area.They are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to wine. So if you have a favorite you can give the name of your favorite and sure enough they will give you a better tasting wine from Burgundy or Napa for the better price than anywhere else in triangle. I am a big fan of their collection and the prices at which they offer wine.

I love Great Grapes! I never have to worry about coming home with a bottle of wine I dont like. The staff is amazing and so knowledgeable. Im able to tell them what Im planning to have for dinner and they help me pick out a wine that will complement the meal and enhance the flavors. When someone I know is a wine snob I always take them to Great Grapes when they come to visit. Here they are bound to find just that perfect wine. And the assistance from the folks working there is terrific.They have special events frequently, like this wine tasting event on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Cary NC.

No one will ever accuse me of being a wine expert, but I do enjoy trying new wines. The staff at Great Grapes helps me with my selections, and their product knowledge is really impressive. Whether its a special occasion or pairing with a new recipe, they have guided me to discover many new favorite wines I otherwise may not have discovered. They are just down from The Meat House, so its really convenient to stop in for a wine tasting!

While Im not a wine aficionado, I know what my taste buds enjoy. I also know what my wallet can afford. Thats the beauty of the crew (read personal sommeliers for you high brow folks) at Great Grapes ... I can say heres what Im having for dinner or were having a gathering and theyll match me to the perfect libation. Plus, as a return customer they keep my selections on file, so if there is a certain wine that tickled my fancy, but I cant recall the name, theyve got me covered. And now that they have widened their beer selection, the goodness just keeps on flowing. SO, Great Grapes, you keep being you and Ill stay thirsty my friends.

This is just a Great wine store, they will go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for. I have been doing business with them for about 5 years now, none of the other stores in the area comes close to the personal service and knowledge you get from this shop.

They get to know their customers and thus are able to recommend wines that a customer might not know, but are apt to like. I enjoy their tastings and special events.

Gene and his staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and I have shopped here for several years. Weekly wine tastings are fun and relaxed, the selection is excellent as are the prices. I appreciate the attention to service that you just dont get at the grocery store or other large chains!I also like that they are just a couple doors down from The Meat House - one stop shopping!

Great Grapes is easily the best wine store I’ve ever visited. They have a well-curated inventory that will have something for everyone. I really feel like a valued customer every time I go there. The staff has grown to learn my tastes, and every recommendation has been spot on. They regularly have tastings that showcase a variety of interesting and delicious wines.My favorite spot is the back room, where they often have amazing deals. Usually Gene (the owner) has made a great deal on wines that the distributor is ready to move at a great rate. These are never bad wines, they’re usually great deals sold on the cheap when a distributor needs to make room for new stock.They also have a very nice beer selection. It’s relatively small, but it’s priced right and has a well curated variety that should appeal to anyone’s tastes.Wonderful service. Terrific staff. Great values.
